Lindsey's New Year's Eyelet Challenge....

Hi Again!  I am still working on my party hat although it is kindof looking like a lampshade!!!!  LOL!!!  Here is my card for Lindsey's next challenge which is to make a card that includes eyelets.
Img_8701_edited1

I totally CASE'd this layout from the awesome  Julia Stainton and it can be found HERE.   Julia's card is a gift card holder.  I just used a velcro dot to hold mine closed.  The base of the card is Soft Sky and is 4 1/4" wide and 11" long.  I scored each end at 2  3/4".  The scalloped piece is about 1" in depth.  I used my new A Beautiful Thing solid flower on Whisper White cardstock using Soft Sky ink.  I then added the coordinating white rubon and a red Dew Drop.  I did faux stitching around the flower, mounted on Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl dp then Red Bazzill and Whisper White again.  The ribbon is Soft Sky double stitched.  The flowers on the top of the card on Soft Sky was stamped using White Craft ink.  Have fun with this challenge!!!

Lindsey's Forum (Jacksonbelle Embellishments) New Year's Challenge

Happy New Year ~ almost!!!!  I made the following card for Lindsey's Black & Blue challenge which is going on RIGHT NOW SO HURRY to her forum ~ HERE!!!   Her first challenge was to make a party hat (she provides the template) ~ check it out HERE!   It is so cute.  I haven't made mine yet but once I do, I will post!  OK, enough babbling....  Here is my card ~
Img_8730_edited1

This didn't turn out exactly like I had envisioned in my mind!  Oh well!  OK, the base of my card is 5 1/2" square and is Soft Sky cardstock.  I then made a thin mat of Basic Black and then added my awesome Urban Lily decorative paper on top!  If you REALLY feel the need, you can order the paper HERE.   Anyway, the strip along the bottom is first Soft Sky cardstock and then Soft Sky Designer Series polka dot paper.  I used my Nestablities for the layered scalloped circles of Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock.  The cupcake is a miscellaneous stamp I had!  The butterfly is from PaperTrey and I initially wanted to do this wonderful technique that my friend Tamara has on her blog but I screwed it up and had to just heat emboss it with Irridescent Ice embossing powder.  The link for Tamara's tutorial is HERE and is so cool!  I will try it again another time soon!  I added wire and Crystals for the butterfly's body and then mounted it using a dimensional.  That's about it!!  I hope you are having fun with the challenges!

Thank You ~ From Our House to Yours!!!

So you thought you had seen the last of my WHITE ~ MARTHA STEWART GLITTER!!!  Well, just 1 more card ~ for now!!!!   I wish I could take credit for the Christmas lights on the little trailer but I was totally inspired by a card Jan did a while back.  If I remember correctly, she added a little wreath on the door but I didn't have one small enough so I went ahead and just did the lights and added some lights on one of the trees!
Img_8722_edited1

On the inside of my card I printed the sentiment, "from our house to yours".  The card is 4 1/4" square and I used Cryogen White Shimmer cardstock with a mat of Basic Grey Figgy Pudding decorative paper.  The way I stamped the images was to first stamp the trees using Always Artichoke ink (stamped 2 of them twice to get the faded look).  I then stamped the trailer using Basic Black ink right on top of the trees.  I stamped the trailer again on an extra piece of Cryogen White cardstock using Metallic Silver ink and then cut it out.  When I cut out the trailer I cut the wheels and steps off and then when I taped the trailer down, the wheels and steps were already there from my first Basic Black image.  I added the Martha Stewart white glitter on the ground and on all of the trees using Elmer's glue.  I used my watercolor crayons and a blender pen to color in the windows on the trailer and the trunks of the trees.

The way I did the strand of lights was to use a piece of silver cord, tied knots evenly spaced apart and then added Elmer's glue to the backs of all knots and glued it down on the trailer.  I then added misc. Stickles in dots to look like lights.  I used a clear Dew Drop over the circle window on the door and added red Stickles for the trailers tail lights.  I then mounted the focal piece on Always Artichoke cardstock and then on my card.  I used the same Stickles on the tree.  The thank you is a rubon from Basic Grey and can be found HERE.

I hope you all have a safe and Happy New Year!!!  If any of you are not busy tonight, Lindsey is going to have some challenges going on in her SCS Forum ~ HERE!   Hope to see you there!!!

Featured Stamper #47 ~ Danielle ~ Round 2!

Like I said, Danielle's Gallery was so great, I couldn't choose just 1 card to CASE so here is my second card ~
Img_8715_edited1

The card of Danielle's that I CASE'd is HERE.   The base of my card is Chocolate Chip.  The decorative paper is Cosmo Cricket ~ Autumn from their Gretel collection.  The caramel looking color is the back of the floral Cosmo Cricket paper which is what I matted the bottom floral piece with.  The ribbon is May Arts and can be found HERE.   On the floral piece I paper pierced around it as Danielle did on hers.  The aged copper brads are from Making Memories.  The flowers bouquet of flowers are from SU!'s ~ Close as a Memory set which I stamped on the Cosmo Cricket caramel side of the decorative paper using Chocolate Chip ink.  I added miscellaneous Prima flowers and the same Making Memories brads.  This piece is matted with Chocolate Chip cardstock.   The sentiment is from Warmest Regards which was stamped on Sage Shadow using Chocolate Chip ink and then again, matted using Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I pierced the upper left and lower right corners.  I also sponged around the sentiment using Chocolate Chip ink.

Thanks again for looking and I will have some new things to show you tomorrow so be sure and check back!  Have a great evening!

Featured Stamper #47 ~ Danielle ~ AKA: dlounds

Because it has been raining all afternoon, I got  to stamp so here I am posting my card on the SAME day as the challenge!!!!  Before I show you my card, I want to mention that in case you don't have anything going on tomorrow night, Lindsey, Jacksonbelle Embellishments, is going to have some challenges, giveaways and MORE!!!  The link will be in her stores SCS thread HERE!   I will be there and hope to see you too!!!  OK, here is my first card for today's featured stamper.
Img_8706_edited1

The card of Danielle's that I chose to CASE is HERE.  As usual, it was difficult to choose so instead of 1 card, I chose 2!!!  I will show you the second one later!  Anyway, my card base is Textured Groovy Guava cardstock with a mat of River Rock and then a mat of the beautiful new Ginger Blossom designer paper.  The brads in all four corners are Earth Elements Ruby Red.  The striped piece of decorative paper is the backside of the Ginger Blossom floral piece and the ribbon above it is Groovy Guava double stitched.  I stamped the "it's your birthday" (from A Little Birdie Told Me) using Ruby Red ink on Whisper White cardstock and then punched with my small oval punch.  I punched the top of the oval with my 1/16" hand held punch and used Karen Foster's Scrappers Floss to tie it on.

I stamped the just beakause using Ruby Red ink on Whisper White cardstock.  The toucan was stamped next to the sentiment using Groovy Guava ink.  I then stamped the toucan again on scrap Whisper White cardstock using River Rock and Cameo Coral.  I cut the beak out of the Cameo Coral and the wing out of the River Rock and then adhered them on the toucan to cover up the Guava beak and wing.  I then mounted this on Ruby Red and then used dimensionals to mount it to the front of the card.

Check back and I will post my second card shortly!  Thanks for looking!

Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge #15 ~ NEW TOYS!!!!

I LOVED this challenge!!!  Sharon's challenge this week was to use our new toys we got for or that we hadn't used before!!!!  I got lots of fun stuff for Christmas and had SO much fun using it.  I hope you all got new toys too!!!
Img_8681_edited1

The base of my card is Soft Sky.  The decorative paper is Cosmo Cricket's Dutch Girl line that I got from Lindsey.   I REALLY like this paper and the Soft Sky cardstock matches perfectly!!!  After my base of Soft Sky I did a mat of the Dutch Girl dp and then Whisper White.  The black swirls and Thank You are rubons and are by Basic Grey ~ HERE.   I added the individual red rhinestones from the MAMBI red rhinestone hearts (the assembled heart is used on the birds flower).  I used a very tiny dot of Elmer's glue to adhere the rhinestones.  The red strip with the May Arts white ruffled ribbon, Soft Sky ribbon and black gingham ribbon on it is a red scrap of Bazzill.  I ran this through my Cuttlebug and embossed swirls.  The bottom strip is first the red Bazzill and then the Dutch Girl dp.  The 2 strips are mounted using dimensionals.

I finally used my Nestabilities for the 2 scalloped circles!!!  OMG, SOOO cool!  I got the scalloped circles for Christmas and now NEED more!!!  I am not sure which ones to get next.... decisions, decisions.......  Anyway, I inked up my Inkadinkado Birdie using Basic Black ink.  I then used a Q-tip to remove any black ink that got on the flower and stem.  I then used my Green Galore and Real Red markers and colored in the flower and stem.  Before stamping, I huffed on the stamp to moisten the ink.  I then used my NEW Copics glitter pens!  I used the green one on the stem and the black one on the bird to add some pizazz!!!  I used Pop Dots to adhere this to the card because they are higher.  I really like how this turned out and hope you do too!!!!

Thanks for looking!!

Featured Stamper #46 ~ Crissy ~ AKA: #1artist4highhopes

Boy have I been busy!  My card today is based on last Sunday's featured stamper ~ Crissy ~ AKA:  #1artist4highhopes.  If you have not checked out her gallery, you really should.  Her coloring is AMAZING and the High Hope stamps are just fantastic (especially the snowman with the cowboy hat!).  Her gallery link is HERE.   The card of hers that I chose to CASE is HERE.   I had to flip the layout because I REALLY wanted to use my new Inkadinkado Love Birds which I might add are on sale right now in Lindsey's store as well as MANY other things.
Img_8660_edited1

The BEAUTIFUL decorative papers are by Cosmo Cricket and is their Hey Sugar line.  I did buy this from Lindsey but it looks like she sold out!  The base of my card is Basic Black.  I used my scallop scissors on the bottom of the striped, black and blush colored papers.  I layered the top blush looking  color DP on top of Basic Black cardstock but I only let the black stick out the bottom.  I highlighted the scallops with my Sakura clear glitter pen.  The top ribbon is Vanilla Taffeta and the bottom ribbon is May Arts satin scalloped with a layer of Rose Red stitched ribbon from SU!  The charm was an old charm I had which I tied it on using silver cord.  The Love You at the top was stamped (Fancy Dlexible Phrases) on a scrap of the light colored Hey Sugar DP using a Versamark and then heat embossed with Black embossing powder and mounted inside a Heidi Swapp clear tab.

The love birds were stamped 1 time on light colored Hey Sugar paper and then again on a pink/mauve piece from the same line using my Versamark and then heat embossing using Black embossing powder.  I rounded the corners on the light piece, mounted it on Basic Black cardstock and then added some pewter brads.  I used my 1 1/4" circle punch to punch the birds out of the pink/mauve piece.  I used my 1 3/8" circle punch to punch a circle from Basic Black cardstock.  I mounted the pink/mauve birds on top of the Basic Black circle and then lined it up on top of the birds I had embossed on the light paper and taped it down.  I used dimensionals to mount it on the front and there you go, finished!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sketch Challenge #156 ~ Riding off into the sunset.......

This card is based on yesterday's sketch challenge.  I used my stamps (Western Background stamp, grass, horse and sun) from Starving Artistamps.
Img_8664_edited1

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip then I used Cosmo Cricket ~ Chicken Little decorative paper.  This paper is so cool because one side has clouds and sky on it and the back side is a weathered blue color which is what I used to stamp the Western Background on using Chocolate Chip ink.  The horse was stamped on the cloud side of the decorative paper using Chocolate Chip ink.  I stamped the horse again on scrap paper and cut him out.  I masked him when I stamped the sun using Saffron ink and the grass using Close to Cocoa and Artichoke ink.  I used my watercolor crayons and a blender pen to color the horse.  I used my Creative Memories AND Coluzzle circle cutters to get the right size circles.  For the bottom circle, I used my scalloped scissors to add the decorative edge.  The flower was a gift from Lindsey and the ribbon I bought from Lindsey.  The brad is a Making Memories aged copper decorative brad.  I used my distressing tool on all edges.

I got my Spellbinder Wizard delivered last night!!!  Now I need to figure out how to use it!!!  Sorry for the quick post but I have lots of new things to play with and post!  Have a great day!!!!

Happy Two Days after Christmas!!!

Hi!!!!
I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas!  We sure did!  I think it was one of our best Christmas'!!  We had beautiful weather and were able to spend some time outside which this time of year, you really have to take advantage of it because it won't last!!  Santa was very good to me and I hope he was good to you too!!!  I didn't get a change to stamp on Christmas day but I was able to clean up my crap room.   Oh my gosh did it need it!  Now I can't find anything..... LOL!!!  Yesterday, I got to play with my new stuff I received from Lindsey last Monday.  Lindsey is having a big sale in her store right now and it will last until the 28th so be sure to stop by!!!

This card is based on Lauren's Saturday sketch although when I went to her blog to get the link, I realized I didn't do the sketch totally right ~ dang, I always do that!!!!  Can you see why I didn't do that well in school????  OK, my card is LOOSELY based on Lauren's Saturday sketch!!!!
Img_8668_edited1

The base of my card is Pretty in Pink cardstock with a thin mat of Blush Blossom.  The next mat is the decorative paper which I got from Lindsey and it is Daisy D's ~ Maybe Baby  decorative paper pack.   The next pink mat is actually the back side of the floral diamond paper.  The ribbon is also Daisy D's ~ Maybe Baby and can be found HERE.   The cute little valentine is also from the same Daisy D's line but Lindsey doesn't have any more but keep checking as I am sure she will be ordering more!  The awesome heart is an Inkadinkado Stamp and was stamped using White Craft ink on the pink decorative paper and then heat embossed using white embossing powder.  I then cut it out and cut out 2 of the little flowers, glued the flowers on and mounted the heart using dimensionals.  I used my ticket corner punch in all 4 corners and added some Blush looking brads which I have no idea where I got them.

I was so excited to get to use this paper.  All of the paper included in the pack is so pretty!  Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day!!
