You're Special....

Oh my goodness.... I hope you all have been as busy as me so you haven't noticed that I haven't posted anything lately!! LOL!!!  The end of the school year usually seems to go like this.  Lots of functions going on at my kids' school which is lots of fun but definitely does not leave a lot of extra time to do, oh I don't know like what... STAMPING!!!  I will share a card with you that I made some time ago and have not yet posted ~
IMG_3070_edited-1 I LOVED this little bird set!  The set is from Hero Arts and can be found HERE!  What is so cute about this set is that it comes with the little rhinestone flowers that I added on the branch.  Anyway, the base of my card is Whisper White with a mat of purple decorative paper which is part of the same Crate Paper Kit as the top mat ~ Kaitlin by Crate Paper.  The top Whisper White piece was done by using one of my circle Nestabilities and embossing a circle in the center ~ NOT cutting, just embossing.  I then used the same size circle and cut out the center from the decorative paper and then cut the scallops using a large scallop die to cut the scalloped edges out.  I adhered this with my Quickie glue pen around the outside of the embossed circle.  I then stamped my tree branch and bird using Basic Black ink.  I colored using  my watercolor crayons and a blender pen.  I highlighted the bird using my Sakura Clear Jelly Roll Glitter pen.   I stamped another bird on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink, colored her using Watercolor Crayons and a blender pen, cut her out, taped her on the card and then added some glitter with the above pen.  The sentiment was then stamped next to the bird using Basic Black ink and I added a green rhinestone flower which came with the stamp set.  How sad is this?  I stamped the sentiment crooked!  There is NO reason for this to have happened!  These are clear stamps, I should not be stamping crooked!!! What irritates me the most is that I always do the sentiment last so when I screw it up, it's too late!  Since I can't stamp straight, I do find myself using rub ons more!

The scallops were made using a Martha Stewart punch and the ribbon is some OLD Making Memories purple velvet ribbon that I have had for a long time!

I hope you all have a great weekend!  I am going to be scrapbooking ALL day tomorrow and can't wait!  We also have Guinea's hatching which is so fun!  I will take some pictures and post them so you can see how darling they are and to think they grow up to be so ugly is just amazing!!!

Bo Bunny Birdhouse....

Say that title 3 times fast!!! LOL!!!  My title creativity lately has pretty much stunk!  LOL!!!  The card I am going to show you is quite different than my usual card and is not based on any challenge.  I just wanted to use my new Bo Bunny paper and cardstock!  Here it is ~
IMG_3111_edited-1 copy The base of my card is Cameo Coral cardstock and is 5 1/4 square.  The base does not open like a normal card because the front flap opens instead.  The next layer of cardstock is Basic Black and then my new Bo Bunny Organic Honeysuckle paper.  I used my square Nestabilities to cut the Whisper White square that goes under my top flap.  I will show you a picture of the inside in a minute!  The top flap was done with first a mat of Basic Black cardstock measuring 3 5/8" and then the top mat of Bo Bunny Coral polka dot paper.  Before I added my silver, We R Memory Keepers hinges,  I stamped my Inkadinkado Birdhouse directly on the polka dot paper using my Versamark and then heat embossing with my SU! Black embossing powder.  I added a few MAMBI clear crystal rhinestones on the flowers.  One of the last steps was to add some Bo Bunny coordinating ribbon on the side using a silver brad that is also included in the We R Memory Keepers kit.  Then the hinges were added.

Here is a picture of the inside ~
IMG_3118_edited-1 copy I stamped the sentiment using Basic Black ink on the inside.  The sentiment is also from Inkadinkado.

Thank you for stopping by and I will have more to share tomorrow!

Jacksonbelle DT Tuesday Challenge ~ Prima!!!

Here it is ~ Tuesday again and you KNOW what that means!!!  No, you don't???  Did you NOT read my title!?!?  LOL!!!  It is Tuesday's Jbelle DT challenge!!!  The challenge this week was based on a sketch ~ located HERE!  You can play along too!  When you upload your card to the SCS gallery, be sure to include keywords JBE004 so we can all see your creation!!  Here is my card ~IMG_3095_edited-1The base of my card is Regal Rose and is 5" square.  I did sponge the edges using Chocolate Chip ink.  The next layer is my most beautiful Prima paper called Urban Cosmo's.  The piece I used on top of the Regal Rose card base is brown with beautiful subtle accents of darker browns, pinks and greens.  The next layer is first Pink Passion (I sponged this too with Chocolate Chip ink) and then the bottom has the same brown paper as the bottom mat and the top is another beautiful piece included in this pack.  I then added this amazing Prima tape across the center where the 2 pieces of decorative papers meet.  Lindsey is currently out of the tape I used but she does have a few other styles HERE!  She has re-ordered a lot of things that she is out of, so keep checking back!  OK, now the next thing I did was used my scalloped scissors and cut a brown strip and floral strip.  I glued the strips down on the tape edge and then added SU! Rose grosgrain.  I added Pink and Poppy Me and My Big Ideas Rhinestones to the centers of the flowers and center dots on the tape.

For the focal image....I stamped the Inkadinkado Clematis Rosette  using my Versamark on the green paper, which is included in the Prima Pack too, and then heat embossed using SU! brown embossing powder.  I then free hand cut around the edges and then cut a circle from the brown decorative paper using my Nestabilities and mounted the Rosette on it.  The first flower (from the bottom up) was cut from another of the decorative papers (it was already on the paper, I did not stamp it) and the top flower is from the center of the Rosette which I stamped on the pink and green decorative paper using Chocolate Chip ink and then cut the flower out.  I added a pink rhinestone to the center.  I did 2 more flowers this same way and added pink and poppy rhinestones to the centers and mounted the flowers on dimensionals on the bottom left of the card (or right, depending how you are looking at it!! LOL!!!).

I have another card to show you!  I used the same Urban Cosmos papers!  Can I tell you that I LOVE these papers?!?!?
IMG_3110_edited-1 I got the dimensions for this card from one of my OLD Papercrafts magazine.  This was really simple.  I cut the decorative paper at 10 1/2" wide and 8" high.  I then scored at 3 3/4" and then again at 7 1/2".  I used Sticky Strip to hold the holder together.  The hardware is from We R Memory Keepers and can be found HERE!  I used Pewter which is currently out of stock but Lindsey does still have other finishes.  Iused my 1 3/4" circle punch to punch the slot in the top of the holder.  The sentiment is an SU! rubon and was put on another piece of the decorative paper from the same paper pack.  The inside piece uses the same paper and can be seen here ~
IMG_3105_edited-1 The top of the pull-out piece is a circle I punched using my 1 1/4" circle punch and then bent it in half and held it in place using another piece of hardware from the same We R Memory Keepers set.  The ribbon is from Rusty Pickle.  The swirls on the paper were already there but I did add a Pewter Brad to the center of the top flower and the bottom flowers are the flowers that COME with the Urban Cosmo's paper pack.  The center flower is the same as I used on my first card and I held all of the flowers in place using a Pewter Brad.  The sentiment is from Inkadinkado and was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.  This was REALLY easy!  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Be sure to check out what the other girls have made using this same sketch and their Prima goodies!  Also, today is the LAST day of Lindsey's sale!  You can save 15% off your ENTIRE order by entering promo code JBE15 at checkout!

A Dinosaur Birthday ~ Featured Stamper ~ Peanutbee...

Hi!
I hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday weekend!  When I get done posting this card I am going to go do some yard work!  We are having a beautiful weather weekend here in Virginia!  I made this card based on today's featured stamper, Peanutbee's, beautiful card HERE!  I changed everything except the layout although I did not add as many layers as she did.  Be sure to check out her gallery as it really is exceptional!!!
IMG_3082_edited-1
The base of my card is Basic Black.  All of the decorative papers I used are from Basic Grey's Archaic Line.  BTW, don't forget that Lindsey has EVERYTHING in her STORE at 15% off until Tuesday.  Just enter Promo Code JBE15 at checkout and you will receive a 15% discount on EVERYTHING!!!  So now, on to my card!  I used the Artichoke color paper in the set to mat the 3 different patterned papers on.  I cut the ends of the Artichoke paper using my scalloped scissors.  I added faux stitching on the decorative papers using my SU! mat pack and paper piercer.  I used my SU! Basic Black marker to make the X's!  The ribbon is first May Arts Polka dot and then I added a small piece of SU! Chocolate Grosgrain.  The scalloped circle on the focal image is from the Artichoke color (used my Nesties to make this scalloped circle) and then the next layer is just Basic Black and the top piece is Whisper White (I used my Nestibilities Circles for these).  I stamped the tree trunks from my SU! Prehistoric Pals set using More Mustard ink.  I then stamped the tops of the trees using Artichoke ink.  I added my own coconuts BECAUSE I am such a pathetic stamper that when I stamped the tops to the trees, there was a gap between the trunk and the top!!!  I swear, I could probably be much more productive if I wasn't on damage control constantly!!!  LOL!!!  Anyway, the way I made them, and I really do like how they turned out, was to punch small circles from my double circle punch using some brown scrap paper I had.  I then used my Quickie Glue Pen to adhere the circles and then used my glue pen again to adhere my Caramel Latte Tan Flock on top of the coconuts.  Fixed that mistake in NO time AND it looks like they belong there!!!  LOL!!!

I did stamp the bird (I am not going to attempt to spell Pteradactyl) and the other dino (is that a bronchiosaurs?) first on the focal image (used Chocolate Chip ink for the bird and Artichoke for the dino) and then stamped them again on scrap Whisper White cardstock.  I cut these out and adhered them on top of the ones I stamped first using dimensionals.

Now that was easy wasn't it??  I hope you all have a great weekend!  I need to take the little darlings out to swim while I plant my new flowers!!!

Poppy Birthday!!!

I agree, my title is rather corny but sometimes I can't come up with a catchy title and if I said, Happy Birthday card with Poppies on it, wouldn't that sound BORING???  I guess if I put exclamation points at the end, it would definitely liven it up!!! LOL!!!  This card may look familiar to you because I have made another one like it.  This one has a different layout but the papers and colors are the same as the previous one.  I actually did not have intentions of posting this one because I WAS going to submit it for a publication call BUT, the idiot that I am, I stamped the sentiment AFTER I had colored the entire image and it didn't show up!!!  Why do I do that???  I was so irritated but oh well, I now have a birthday card to add to my stash!!!

Here it is~
IMG_3078_edited-1 I added the vellum, which I stamped using Chocolate Chip ink, over the top of the sentiment so it would show up better.  Anyway, here are the deets!!!  Oh, before I go on, I want to let you know that Lindsey is having a sale all weekend in her store!  You can save 15% on your entire order!  See the details here!

The base of my card is Kraft cardstock with a layer of red Bazzill cardstock.  The decorative papers are from 7 Gypies and is their Sushi line.  Lindsey has not received these back in the store yet but when she does, I will let you know because these papers are so beautiful!!  I did use a small strip of Kraft along the top of the circle paper.  The ribbon is Kraft Taffeta from SU!  Now, the focal image are from Inkadinkado and can be found HERE!  I stamped the image using Chocolate Chip ink on Shimmery White cardstock.  I colored with my Prismacolor Pencils as usual!!!  I love those things!  I then added clear micro beads to the centers of the flowers, matted the image on Chocolate Chip cardstock and punched a hole next to the sentiment and tied a knot.  It would have actually been a pretty quick card until I messed up the sentiment.  BTW, the sentiment is also from Inkadinkado but is currently out of stock in Lindsey's store.  Then when I added a little glue on the bottom sentiment to hold the vellum down on top, the ink ran.  Oh well!!!

I will be back shortly with another card!  Thanks for stopping by!!!

Mothers and Daughters Creations Challenge ~ It's all black and white.....

The design team for Mothers and Daughters Creations decided to do a color challenge!  Tamara got this awesome Imaginisce ~ Black Tie paper which is just black and white and SO fun to play with.  You can use ANY color with this paper and totally change the look.  I decided to use pink for my extra color.  Here is my card ~
IMG_3065_edited-1 Hmmm.....my picture looks really big for some reason....Typepad is making some adjustments so I'll just go with it for now.....  I hope it didn't scare you when it came up!! LOL!!!  Anyway, the base of my card is Whisper White.  I used my favorite Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder and embossed just the top of the card.  I then used my NEW Martha Stewart punch/embosser on the edge of the Floral Imaginisce paper and then used my Scor-pal and scored about 3/4" in so I would have a flap.  Since the paper is two sided, I thought that would be cute.  I added the Daisy Bucket Velvet Flowers and Imaginisce Pearl Brads to the centers of each flower.  I mounted them on the card using dimensionals.  The ribbon is SU! Pink Taffeta.  The stamp is my favorite Mustang from Serendipity.  I stamped the mustang on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I then colored using my Prismacolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits.  I then mounted the mustang on first Basic Black cardstock and then Pretty in Pink.  This was then mounted on the card using dimensionals!

Be sure to check out what Jennifer, Maria and Tamara have created!

I will be on a field trip with my daughter all day today so I will only have 1 post!  I hope you all have a great day and I will be back on Thursday!!!

Puppy Hugs.....

Wow, 2 postings in one day!!!  What has gotten in to me?!?!?  LOL!!!  It must be because all it has done here this Spring is rain so I haven't HAD to do my outside chores and the inside ones, well.....we won't go there!!! LOL!!!   My Aunt and Uncle just got a new little Cocker Spaniel puppy so I wanted to make a little gift to send them.
Img_3041_edited1

Here is a picture of the card, which was based on Cindy's MFT Sketch Challenge #31.  BTW, did you know that the amazing Cindy Haffner is blogging now???  I am so excited that she has decided to do it!!   Anyway, here is the card ~
Img_3049_edited1

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip with a mat of the red which is the back of the fire hydrant/bone SEI Paper.   The striped paper is also SEI and can be found HERE.   I matted the striped piece with Chocolate Chip cardstock and then added silver eyelets so it would MAYBE look like a collar!!  Not quite huh?!?!?  You really need to use your imagination!!! LOL!!!  The focal image is so STINKIN' cute!!!  I love this new set from MFT.  It is called Friends Furever and can be found HERE!   I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink.  I then colored with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I added some glitter to "Rocky's" collar with my Copic Spica Clear glitter pen.  I also cut a fire hydrant out from the decorative paper and mounted it on the front using a dimensional.  The Puppy Hugs was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink and then punched out using my small oval punch.  I also used my Paw tracks wheel and Chocolate Chip ink to make paw prints on this piece.  I mounted it using dimensionals.  The focal piece was then matted with Chocolate Chip cardstock and then the red from the fire hydrant decorative paper.   BTW, the dog on this card is a little bigger than my Aunt & Uncle's new Cocker!!!

Here is a picture of the "cookie" jar!
Img_3043_edited1

In case you didn't know, the dogs name is Rocky!  I used my Quickutz to do the name.  After punching them, I ran them through my Xyron and then slapped them on the bone!!! LOL!!!  The bone is actually another stamp included in the Friends Furever  set which in this case I stamped using Chocolate Chip ink and then stamped on Whisper White cardstock.  I then cut it out and added the silver eyelet at the top.  I also used the Paw Tracks wheel and Chocolate Chip ink on this too!  The heart is just a little jewel I had laying around.  The jar is from Target.  I have had the dog bone ribbon for years!!  I got it from Oriental Trading.  It is self adhesive so I stuck it around the outside of the lid.  I then added silver cord to tie the name plate on.   I decorated the outside of the jar with the coordinating Park Buddies rub ons.

Here is a picture of the top of the jar.  I used my Creative Memories cutter and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities to layer the paper ~
Img_3045_edited1

The sticker on the top is another coordinating piece from SEI and can be found HERE!   Yes, I know it is upside down!  What the heck was I thinking???  Oh well, when they look at it from the back, the hydrant will be right side up!!!  It is not me and how I screwed it up....it is the screwed up way people look at things!!! LOL!!!

Thanks again for stopping by!

The Using of Neglected or UNINKED (OH MY!!!) Stamps ~ Jacksonbelle DT

Before I show you my card, I have to tell you that if you haven't had enough caffeine this morning, my card will DEFINITELY wake you up!!!  The design team for Lindsey have been working on our Prima  challenge for next Tuesday (you can play along too.  Check out the thread ~ HERE!) but figured if any of the girls had time, we should do a challenge using un~inked or neglected stamps!  I am SURE none of you have un~inked stamps!!! LOL!!!

OK, here it is, my card using my neglected Basic Grey Owl set!!! Put your shades on and check it out!
Img_3031_edited1

The base of my card is Pink Passion cardstock and is a 6 1/2" square.  I then scored it in half at 3 1/4. The circle was cut using my Creative Memories cutter.  I laid it on the card where I wanted it to be (did not tape it down) and then stamped. I only stamped once since the branch went of the edge of the circle perfectly.  I don't usually use these bright colors but the Sultry paper has it and I LOVE it!!  I'm not too sure about this card though!!! LOL!!!  I stamped the leaves with Celery ink and it just wasn't the right green to match the paper so I added Lime Stickles and that did make the color a little closer but boy is it glittery!!!  I stamped the flowers, nest (I used Close to Cocoa ink & added dark brown before stamping by using my Chocolate Chip marker around the edges) and the bird on separate paper and cut them out.  The bird and flowers were stamped using Pink Passion ink.  I mounted them using dimensionals.    The bling can be found HERE and HERE.    I used the pink and green rhinestones for the centers of my flowers.  The branch and nest was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.  The ribbon is some  ribbon I had gotten from Lindsey a long time ago and is May Arts.  I added 2 butterflies which were punched from a brown included in the Sultry paper pack using my Martha Stewart punch.  The last thing I did was pierce around the outside of the circle.  I have no idea why but there was an empty space and you all know how much I HATE an empty space!! LOL!!

Be sure to check out what the others have done!

Speaking of Lindsey, she currently has an Inkadinkado challenge going on in the forum ~ HERE!   You could win a $10 gift certificate to her store!  Be sure to check it out!

OK, now speaking of Inkadinkado.....remember a few weeks ago I won some free products from Inka because a card I submitted for their contest was chosen for Honorable Mention.   Well, I was contacted to provide a list of supplies and a short description of the steps involved to make the card.  I decided that I would put my BIG girl panties on and ask if they ever have design team call or even a gallery for customers to upload their INKA creations!  Let me tell you, I was shocked when I received a reply asking if I would be interested in designing for them!!!   There is so much potential with this company and I feel so fortunate!!!  How cool is that?!?!  I have to give credit to Lindsey for telling me to JUST ASK!!!  I am so glad I JUST ASKED!!!

Check back later as I have a Puppy gift ensemble to share with you!  Have a great day!

Beautiful Blooms.....

I actually made a card for no reason, no challenge, no reason except that I loved these colors and wanted to use them!!!  I saw a card using River Rock and a blue color.  I immediately thought how pretty River Rock and Bashful Blue would look together.  I added Vanilla and a dark brown Bazzill color as well.  I must say, I LOVE these colors together and hope you do too!
Img_3023_edited1

The base of my card is Bashful Blue with a mat of Dark Brown Bazzill cardstock, then Vanilla, then River Rock and then a decorative piece of paper from the retired SU! paper pack, Holiday Thyme.  The 2 little pearls are from K&Company and are self adhesive.  The focal image is from the retired SU! hostess set, Garden Silhouettes.  I had NEVER used this set ~ can you believe it??!?!?  I used markers to ink the stamp up.  I used Chocolate Chip and Bashful Blue markers for the branch and flowers and then used a blender pen and my River Rock ink pad to color the leaves.  Once I had colored on my stamp, I huffed on it a few times and then stamped it on my Vanilla cardstock.  I added a knot of Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon and White ~ Liquid Pearls to the centers of all of the flowers.  I then matted it on Bashful Blue cardstock and then a larger piece of Dark Brown Bazzill cardstock.  I used dimensionals to mount the focal image on top of the dark brown Bazzill cardstock.

This card was also REALLY easy which is good because I have a lot going on right now!!  I will share the news with you tomorrow!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Featured Stamper #67 ~ Dawnsing....

Hi!
I hope you all had a great weekend~ we did!!!  Very busy though.....I didn't get to stamp much so I better get with it this week!!!  Here is a card I made for yesterdays Featured Stamper, Dawnsing.   Her gallery is VERY nice and has some cards with some wonderful layouts to CASE!  The card I chose to CASE is HERE.   Here is my card ~
Img_3027_edited1

This was a really simple card!  The base is Bashful Blue and the two decorative black and white papers are from Imaginisce.   The focal image is actually a rub on by Basic Grey.  I adhered it to Whisper White cardstock and then adhered the sentiment (also a rub on by Basic Grey) on a piece of Bashful Blue cardstock and punched it out using my Word Window punch.  I mounted this on Basic Black cardstock and used my horizontal slot punch to punch holes on each side of the sentiment and then added the awesome black and white striped May Arts ribbon found HERE!   The final step was to add light blue rhinestones to the centers of the 2 large flowers as well as the bottom right of the card.  The rhinestones can be found HERE!

I will be back shortly with another card to share!
