Good Morning!
I hope you all had a really Happy Thanksgiving! Ours was AWESOME! I didn't get as much time to stamp as I wanted but I was able to squeak this card out! Today's challenge is a HARD one!!! We are to make a card using SNOWMEN OR SNOWFLAKES ~ gasp...... LOL!!! Because I am an OVER ACHIEVER, I decided to use both!!! I know, I really stretched my creative~ness (is that a word??? LOL!!). If you would like to play along, please upload your card to SCS using the keyword OCCC. Speaking of playing along, this week's special guest is Janice Melton ~ AKA ~ Catcrazy!!! You can check out Janice's beautiful creation on the OCC blog HERE!
The base of my card is Baja Breeze with a mat of Whisper White which I punched the bottom using my SU! scalloped punch. Under the scallops I added a strip of my silver K&Co. glitter paper. At the top, on top of the Whisper White base, I added a Basic Black which I ran through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then added a small strip of the silver glitter paper and then a piece of Ski Slope Baja Breeze snowflake paper. I then added black satin ribbon and then a little knot of May Arts white polka dot ribbon. The sentiment is from THIS Verve set and was stamped using Basic Black ink.
The darling snowman & reindeer image is from Whipper Snapper. I got it from Addicted to Rubber stamps. I stamped the image on Whisper White using Basic Black ink. I colored using my Prismacolor Pencils and a blender pen & Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery ink pads. I added Silver Stickles to the bells on the reindeer's bells, snowy's buckle on his hat, the top of the ornament and snowy's buttons. I used Pink Poinsettia Blingz on the candy cane, snowy's scarf, the ornament and both snowy and reindeer's cheeks. I used Angel Wings Shimmerz (Lindsey sold out of this AGAIN but you can email her and she will get it for you!!!) on snowy's vest, gloves, snowy's entire body, ornament and hat band. It looks SO glittery and pretty IRL!!! I used my Quickie glue pen and added white flock to the reindeer's tail and added clear Martha Stewart glitter to the snow on the ground. I matted this image on Basic Black and then mounted it on the front using dimensionals.
Here is a closer look at the image ~

Darling card, Lynda - you overachiever, you! ;) Love the colors and details. I was planning on breaking out my glitter paper for my OCC card, but I'm still in the "hoarding phase" of my paper crush! LOL
