Happy Sunday!
I can't believe the weekend is almost over already. We had a birthday party here yesterday for my daughters 9th birthday and it was so fun. We had beautiful weather and great friends to share the day with us!
I had a little time this morning to work on a card for the featured stamper challenge today at SCS. Kelly is this weeks featured stamper and her beautiful gallery is HERE! Her card that I chose to CASE is HERE. Here is my card ~
I love this cross which is included in the Everlasting Life set from Verve. It was released last Spring for Easter but can be used for ANY occasion! I stamped the cross on Whisper White CS using Chocolate Chip ink and then embossed the 2 rectangle Nestie frames around the image. Before removing the smaller frame, I sponged Ranger Antique Linen ink and then Chocolate Chip. I stamped the cross a second time on the decorative K&Co. paper, cut it out and mounted it on top of the first stamped image using dimensionals. This piece was then matted using Chocolate Chip CS.
The lower mat is a brown polka dot scrap I had from MME, a piece of white decorative May Arts ribbon and then finally, on the bottom, the K&Co. DP from the Ancestry Collection. The white mat was punched using my EK Success scallop border punch. The sentiment is fromVerve's Notes of Prayer set and was stamped on Whisper White using Chocolate Chip ink. I added a brown SU! flower button.
I finished the inside on this one by adding one of the beautiful sympathy sentiments included in Forever in our Hearts set ~
Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow for sure because I already got my card done!! LOL!!
