So, What's MOO with you????

Happy Friday!!!

Don't forget about tomorrow and our first challenge on our new blog ~ Our Creative Corner!!!  I will be posting my cards and the challenge here as well so be sure to check back!!!  I have a quick card to show you today!  I don't want to miss a day since I have been on a roll posting each day!!! LOL!!!
IMG_3510_edited-1 The base card is Whisper White in which I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder directly on it and then used my Scor-pal to make lines.  I had stamped the sentiment from Cornish Heritage Farms using Black Craft ink as well as the cow which is also from CHF!  I colored the spots on the cow and the feet using my Copic Spica Black glitter pen.  I also added eyelashes with the same glitter pen.  I colored a few of the cow parts using my Prismacolor pencils.  I matted the cow on Real Red and then Basic Black cardstock, add 2 red Prima flowers and an SU! black button tied with a piece of black gingham.  The cow print ribbon is from Oriental Trading which I bought a long time ago!  The image was mounted on the front using dimensionals!

See, I told you it was easy!!! Have a great day and I hope to see ya back here tomorrow!!!

Julia's Ways to Use it ~ Acrylic Challenge.....

I know I had told you that I would be back today with a Mothers and Daughters Creations design team challenge but a couple of our team members had some things come up so we will delay it until next week!  I do have a card to show you though!  The card is based on yesterday Ways to Use it challenge which was to use ANYTHING Acrylic.  The stamps I used are not acrylic stamps BUT I did use acrylic blocks to stamp them!!  I also did use a Heidi Swapp clear acrylic frame that I have had for quite some time.

I have to apologize for the picture.  I could not get a good picture....  Anyway, the base of my card is 5 1/4" square and is Creamy Caramel.  I then made a thin mat of Pale Plum and then Basic Black.  I stamped the flourished bush from Cornish Heritage Farms using Black Stazon ink directly on the acrylic frame.  Once the stamped image dried, I mounted it on a plum & caramel piece of decorative paper from the new Cosmo Crickett ~ Fleuriste paper pack and adhered it under the acrylic frame using Elmer's glue.  I then cut a 3x3 piece of Basic Black cardstock which fits perfectly in the center of the square, and stamped the word Beautiful as well as the flourish using my Versamark and Black Detail Embossing Powder.   I could not get the word to stamp straight so if you get this set and use it, you will not be so lame as to have to stamp the word 4 times and then emboss it and have it look all sloppy BUT, I ran out of time AND patience, therefore it will just have to stay!!!  I stamped the flower using my Versamark and heat embossed with the same detail embossing powder on the same decorative paper but I cut the flower out.  I used Elmer's glue to adhere the flower.  I only added glue to the center of the flower so the petals would lift up a little.  the butterflies are Prima flowers with one of the petals cut off.  I added clear MAMBI crystals that I got from Lindsey ~ HERE!   This actually is really pretty in real life but the picture doesn't look that great at all!  I hate when that happens.....  Oh well, I have a couple of Masculine cards I am working and will post shortly!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bloomin' Beautiful Scallops???

A few weeks ago I received my pre-order from Stampin' Up! for some of the new stuff in the current mini!  Well, I LOVED EVERYTHING I ordered EXCEPT....... these stupid "Scalloped Cards & Envelopes"!!  First of all, they aren't cards!  You receive 1 scalloped circle and an envelope (this I like because they are Chocolate Chip!) but oh my gosh, what the heck am I going to do with 1 scalloped circle????  LOL!!!  I don't remember how much I paid for the set and I really DON'T want to know!!! LOL!!!  So, I don't want to waste so I tried to figure out a cute way to use these stupid things.....  I came up with the following ~
Img_2012_edited1

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip and measures 6" wide and 12" long.  To get it to fold like this, score at 3" and then again at 9".  I cut the STUPID (just kidding, they aren't THAT stupid!!) scalloped circle in half.  The one I used is Soft Sky cardstock.  I stamped each side using THIS background stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms and Soft Sky ink.  I added white acrylic paint to the dots with the end of a toothpick.  My white gel pen doesn't work that great and I really wanted the white to show up!  The image from Bloomin' Beautiful was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White cardstock and then colored with my Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi ink pads and a blender pen.  I also used my Scor~pal to add an embossed edge around this image.  I matted it using first Soft Sky and then Close to Cocoa cardstock.  I added the same white acrylic paint to the centers of the flowers and I also stamped the flower pot again on Close to Cocoa designer series paper, cut it out and glued it down.

When I mounted this on the front, I first lined it up with the inside panels (I will give you the info on the in a minute) and added pewter Hodgepodge photo holders on each side of the image.  On the right side with the knot, I used Pop Dots to adhere the image.  On the left side I used a white Velcro dot that I cut in half and used 1 half above the ribbon and the other half below the ribbon.

Here is a picture of the inside ~

The base cardstock is Close to Cocoa in which I ran through my Cuttlebug.  The next piece is first Soft Sky and then Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped just the upper corner of the flower pot using Chocolate Chip ink and the bee using the same ink.  I colored the flowers the same as the front image and the bee I used Banana ink and a blender pen.  I then added light brown flock which I got HERE!   What?  Bees aren't brown???  Well on this card it is because my colors are BROWNS not BLACKS!!! LOL!!!  It looks cute though!  I also added glitter to the wings using my Spica clear glitter pen.

Here is a close up of my brown furry bee~

The last step was to add the Chocolate Chip satin ribbon!  That was it!  Now I only have 50 more of the STUPID scallops to figure out what to do with!!! LOL!!!  Actually, there aren't 50 so I should be able to figure something out!

Thanks for stopping by!

For my Dad ~ Sketch Challenge #164...

Hi!!!
I hope all is well with you guys!  Seems everyone has the flu these days!  I am feeling better today, I think I was having allergy issues ~ as usual!!  Here is my card for today's Sketch Challenge at SCS.

I don't know about you but I NEVER have cards for men!  This card will work for Father's Day or Birthday.  I inked up my Thomas Kinkade stamp with Basic Brown ink and stamped on Shimmery White cardstock ~ 2 times.  You need to do this twice to get the spotlight effect.  I started with a card base of Mellow Moss and then matted the decorative Moss paper from last years At Home Scrappin' kit using Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I cut one of my images out and matted it on Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I did have to cut it down small to fit properly on the front of the card.  For the spotlight image, I left a clean edge on the bottom and just trimmed the top and sides until I got the look and fit I wanted.  I stamped my sentiment using my Fancy Flexible Phrases set and Basic Brown ink.  I added SU! small green square jewel brads to each side.  I used a Mellow Moss sticky scalloped strip from the At Home kit under the spotlight image and at the bottom of the large TK image.  I ran the brown & white May Arts ribbon on top of the entire piece, taped the ends on the back, tied a knot to one side and added a glue dot right beside the knot to hold the ribbon in place since it is covering up the end of the TK image and start of the Shimmery White piece.  I used dimensionals to adhere this to the top of the card.

I am working on the CUTEST Easter gift EVER!!!  I am so excited about it and it is a total CASE!!!  I HAD to CASE, it was so darn cute, I couldn't help myself!!! LOL!!!  I hope to share it with you later today or at least by tomorrow!!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Have a great day!
