This will be a quick post just as my card was a quick card! I made this card based on today's SCS featured stamper ~ flowergal36! Her gallery was full of beautiful cards so if you have time, be sure to check it out! The card of hers that I chose to CASE is HERE! Here is my card ~
The base of my card is Baja Breeze with a mat of my black glitter K&Co. paper (I keep using it to shame Julee in to using hers and not hoarding!! LOL!!!) and then a mat of Pink Pirouette and finally Whisper White which I ran through my Cuttlebug using my snowflake folder. The image is Elzybells and was stamped on Whisper White, cut out with my Oval Nesties and then mounted on a Pink Pirouette scalloped oval then black glitter oval and then a scalloped oval cut from the new Ski Slope Collection.
I first ran the white polka dot ribbon (Michael's) across the embossed piece. I then adhered the Ski Slope scalloped piece on top of the white polka dot ribbon and then ran the most beautiful piece of pink glitter trim that I just received from my friend Cindy! I then tied a knot using the white polka dot ribbon, tied on the sentiment using some white Scrappers Floss that I dyed pink, stamped the sentiment (also Elzybells) on Whisper White using Basic Black ink and then punched it out using my Martha Stewart tag punch.
I colored Elzy using Prisma Color pencils and Pink Pirouette ink & a blender pen. I paper pieced her boots and hat using some old pink polka dot paper I had laying around! I then using my Quickie glue pen and added white flock to her coat trim and top on her hat. I also added Pink Poinsettia Shimmerz Blingz on her coat and Christmas Sky Shimmerz Blingz on the little birdie. The final step was to add Martha Stewart clear coarse glitter to the snow areas using my Quickie glue pen.
Here is a close~up of the image! You know I can't stand it to NOT let you see how shiny it is!!! LOL!! ~
See how easy that was!!! I will be back tomorrow to show you my project for the 8th Day of Christmas!!! I LOVE how it turned out and hope you will too!!!
See ya tomorrow!
