Moxie Fab Cameo Challenge...

Hi!

I have a couple of cards to share today that I made for the Moxie Fab Cameo Challenge HERE.  I was TOTALLY enabled to purchase the cameo mold from THIS post from Betsy Veldman!  I was not the only one enabled because my fellow Diva Shannan ordered too!!! LOLOL!!!

The cameos were SO fun to make and I loved how they turned out but I had trouble incorporating them in to a card....It may have something to do with my hibernating mojo!!!

Instead of going in to step by step of what I used on this card, I will include the supplies at the end of my post.  For this cameo I used pearl Sculpy clay and added a small amount of some blue clay I had.  I have no idea of the color but it turned our really pretty and glittery in real life!  I then painted the accents with off white acrylic paint.  Here is a closer look ~

I did learn that when putting the clay in the mold, don't fill it up all the way to the top.  A couple of them turned out kind of thick but they can be sanded down so that's good.

The clay is White Sulpey III.  This one I didn't fill the mold up to the top so it turned out thinner.  Here is a closer look at this one ~

The paper color is actually a pretty lavender but my picture doesn't do it justice.  The papers are from Webster's Pages.

Thinking of you Today....

I hope your New Year has been a good one so far!! LOL!!!  

 My card today isn't for any challenge.  It was supposed to be a 1 layer card and very simple....well....that isn't what happened.  I recently broke down and bought Sending Sunshine from Gina K.  I had been eyeing it for quite some time and finally just had to have it!!! lol  Well, I had envisioned a very simple, beautifully colored 1 layer card.  Everything was going great until I got to the grass and then I ruined it!  Of course the grass was the last thing I colored....

The images were stamped on Select White CS using Black Memento ink and then colored with Copics.  I added purple Stickles to the tree and am not quite sure why but apparently, I thought the tree needed some purple glitter?!?!? lolol  The sentiment also comes with the set and was stamped on Select White using Black Memento ink and then punched using my Martha Stewart tag punch.  The lace is from Maya Road, the purple organdy is from SU! and the green string is from Making Memories.  I used my SU! border punch along the bottom and added a black panel on the inside of the card.

Life is Good......

Looks like we are going to have another nice day here today!  It may get up to 50!!!!  YAY!! 

My card today is for another Gina K Countdown challenge.  The challenge was to color with glitter pens.  I SWEAR I colored with glitter pens but my camera would not pick up the glitter!! LOL!!

 
I totally TRIED to CASE THIS card by Theresa Momber who is the illustrator of the stamp set I used, Life is Good.  I LOVED her card so much!

The base of this card is Dark Chocolate with a mat of green DP from Prima and then a Select White panel on top.  All of the images are from the Life is Good set and were stamped using Black Memento ink, except for the trees next to the cabin which were stamped using Cocoa Memento ink.

I colored using Copic Markers (C-1, C-3, E-43, E-50, G-82, E-25 and E-47) and Copic Spica glitter pens, Buttermilk, Mint, Sand and Clear.  I stamped a second cabin, cut it out and mounted it on top of the first stamped image using dimensionals.

 

For the top portion, I sponged So Saffron ink heavily and then a little Crumb Cake.  For the bottom portion, I sponged So Saffron lightly, Crumb Cake and a little Cocoa Memento.  I really wanted to stamp the deer like Theresa did but I couldn't fit it and it would be just my luck that I would have screwed the whole card up so I thought I better quit while I was ahead!!! LOL!!

I had made this piece with the sun behind the trees before I decided to CASE Theresa's so instead of it going to waste, I just used it on the inside!  This card will go to my FIL for his Birthday next month!

If nothing ever changed, there would be no Butterflies....

Gina K Designs is having multiple technique challenges that will be going on over a period of 10 days.  So far there have been 8 challenges so there are only a couple more.    One of the techniques for the challenge was shimmering background.  You can find the tutorial HERE along with all the other challenges!  My photos aren't real great but the shimmer is really pretty, believe me!!! LOL!!!

The base of this card is Blush Blossom with a mat of Basic Gray CS.  The rest of the paper is from Basic Grey's Capella Collection.  I embossed the grey background paper using my Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.  I then used my Stardust glitter pen and colored the raised portions left from embossing.  The butterfly and sentiment are from Take Flight.   The butterfly was stamped on another pattern from the Capella Collection using Basic Gray ink and then I added some color with my Blush Blossom marker.  The sentiment was stamped using my Going Gray ink pad.

I then added the peach organdy ribbon and tied on a Basic Gray flower button with White Scrapper's floss.  Here is  a closer look at the background ~

Now on to my second card.  The technique I used on the second card is to tie a button on a bow!  I love doing that, in fact, I did it on my previous card as well!

The base of this card is Select White and is 4 1/4" square.  I then added Night of Navy and Kraft CS that I faux stitched around.  The frame is from Lovely Labels 1 and was stamped on Daffodil Delight using Night of Navy Craft ink.  I then cut it out and matted it with Select White which was cut using my Labels 1 Nesties.  I stamped the frame again on Select White using Daffodil Delight ink and the sentiment using Night of Navy ink.  I then used my Circle Nesties to cut out the center, added the butterflies and then tied on a clear heart button using navy twine on Daffodil Delight ribbon,

Gina K Designs Top 10 Challenge...........

Hi!!!!

I hadn't realized that my subscriber notifications were not going out and haven't been for a couple of months!!  Wow, luckily one of my awesome readers told me so I think I have it all fixed now ~ thanks again Kim!!!

My card today is for one of Gina K's Stamp TV end of year, Top 10 Challenges.  There have been 3 so far but I've only had time to do 1 so far but hope to get to some more!  I did the split negative challenge.  I have never done this technique before!

The base of this card is Kraft CS and is 5" square.  I punched the bottom of the front panel with my EK Success border punch and added Early Espresso CS.  The Kraft floral DP is from SU! and matted with Select White CS.  The Grand Damask image was stamped 1 time on Select White using Crumb Cake ink and again on Kraft CS using Snow White ink.    I matted the images on Early Espresso CS and added pink Memory Box rhinestones.  I LOVE this image!!  I was so excited to get to use it again and I think it worked perfectly for the challenge!  Here is a closer look ~

Warm Winter Wishes....

My card today isn't for any challenge except I got THESE stamps from Gina K and really wanted to use them!! LOL!!!

This was a very simple card.  I stamped the Hampton Arts Relaxed Snowman on Select White CS using Black Memento ink.  I then colored him using my Prismacolor Pencils and cut him out.  I stamped the beautiful frame from Lovely Labels 2 on Crumb Cake CS using Snow White ink (PTI) and then cut it out using my Spellbinders Labels Fourteen die.  I then adhered my snowman, added the clear, coarse Martha Stewart glitter, two rhinestones and mounted it on top of a piece of Select White CS that I embossed using my embossing folder.  The top corners of the card were rounded using my Creative Memories Corner Rounder.  I then punched the lower portion of the Select White using my EK Success border punch, added a strip of Cherry Cobbler CS and tied on a piece of Aqua Mist ribbon.  This entire piece was then mounted on a Aqua Mist card base.

Happy Holidays ~ Stamp TV's Center Stage Inspiration Challenge..

I LOVE this stamp.  I saw the inspiration challenge posted HERE on Gina K's Stamp TV blog and had to figure out how I could use my Grand Damask stamp.  There is NOTHING in the picture that looks like damask BUT I did use a few of the colors AND I added black gingham because red gingham just wasn't going to work!!! LOL!!!  Here is the inspiration picture ~

Here is my card ~

Do you see the resemblance?  LOL!!  The base is Select White  with a mat of True Black then Select White again which was embossed using my SU! Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. The bottom edge was punched using my SU! border punch and I added a small strip of Red Glitter paper so it would tie in with the image.  I stamped the beautiful damask flourish, from Grand Damask, stamping on Select White CS using Versamark ink.  I then added Heat & Stick powder to the image, heated with my heat tool and then added red glitter and heated slightly again.  I cut and embossed the image using my square Nesties and before removing the die, I outlined the image with a black marker.  I matted this piece on Select Black.  The sentiment, from Light of the Season, on Select White CS using Black Memento ink.  I then cut it out using my Spellbinders Fancy Tags and added black velvet, black gingham, a silver charm and silver cord.

This was really a simple card!  Hope you like it!

Beautiful Gina K Damask.....

Happy Black Friday!!! LOL!!!  I don't think I will be venturing out today.  There isn't anything I need that bad to get up so early!!! LOL!!!

The card I am sharing with you today was made using THIS beautiful Grand Damask stamp.  I had seen this stamp used on SCS a while back and knew that I had to have it!  I love it!

The base of this card is Crumb Cake CS with a mat of Select White and then Lemon Tart CS.  I embossed the lower portion of the Lemon Tart panel using one my SU! embossing folder.  I stamped the damask image on the Lemon Tart CS using Crumb Cake ink.  I stamped it again on Crumb Cake CS and then cut about an inch off the top using my pinking shears and punched the bottom using my SU! border punch.  I then lined it up to line up with the lower portion of the first stamped image, trimmed the sides, taped it down and added a strip of Ivory burlap string.  The final step was to add the small, clear Memory Box rhinestones.

This was really a simple card and I really like the colors.  I will definitely using these colors again!

Gina K Designs ~ Merry Christmas....

Hello!

Last week I had received some stamps I ordered from Gina K and just recently had time to use them!  I hate that!!!   Anyway, I made a Christmas card for a change!! LOLOL!!!

The base of this card is Cherry Cobbler CS with the bottom DP coming from THIS Webster's Pages Collection.  I punched the top edge using my EK Success border punch and then matted it with a piece of True Black CS that I punched using the same border punch.  The next mat is also from the Webster's Pages Collection, was matted with True Black CS and then I added some misc. black lace.  THIS DARLING frame, by Nina Brackett for Gina K, was stamped on another pattern of DP using Black Memento ink.  I cut it out using my Labels 9 Nesties and then matted it with a Select White mat that was also cut using the same Labels 9 Nesties.  I added the sentiment from THIS set called Light of the Season, using Cherry Cobbler ink.

I made the rose, this time using grungeboard!  Of course I HAD to buy some and I must say it is a bit easier to work and quicker to make the flowers than using cardstock but both make really pretty flowers.  HERE is my post that includes the link to a video to make the flowers.  The final step was to add some tiny clear Memory Box rhinestones ot the flourish.  Here is a closer look ~

Featured Stamper Sunday ~ Snowflakes are Winter's Butterflies....

Things should start to get back to normal now.  My son's football team lost today down in NC for the Regionals.  I have mixed feelings as I of course wanted them to win and then move on to the Nationals in Florida but with Thanksgiving  and then Christmas just around the corner, I'm a bit relieved we won't be leaving for Florida in 2 weeks!!   Joey and my husband are on their way home now, just in time to get ready for school and work tomorrow!!! LOL!! 

Since I didn't go, I was able to play along with this week's featured stamper challenge at SCS.  Sarah is being featured and her wonderful gallery can be found HERE.    I found a ton of cards I would like to CASE but since I am limited on time, I chose this one.

The base of this card is Dark Chocolate, with a mat of Eggplant and then a piece of DP from Cosmo Cricket's Mitten Weather Collection.   I punched the bottom with my SU! border punch.  I stamped the beautiful butterfly from Gina K's Take Flight set, on the another polka dot pattern of paper also included in the Mitten Weather set using Cocoa Memento ink, cut it out and used a purple Prismacolor Pencil to add some color.  I stamped the image again directly on the DP as well as the flourish, from THIS Grand Damask set.   The sentiment is from Verve's Christmas in the Air set and was stamped using Eggplant ink.  Of course I had to add some small Memory Box clear rhinestones!  Here is a closer look~
