Crazy 4 Challenges ~ A Sketch!!!!

Hello!

It's Saturday and you know what that means!?!?!?  So, since you know will you tell me??? LOLOL!!!  It's C4C day!!!  This weeks challenge is a sketch.  I know, I just used this stamp the other day but I LOVE it and the sketch was just perfect for it!!!

 

The base of this card is PTI Vintage Cream.  The red, cocoa and blue papers are ALL from THIS collection from Imaginisce.  I love those papers!  The darling My Favorite Things stamp is called Flurry of Love and and was stamped on the same PTI Vintage Cream CS using Black Momento Ink.  I colored using a combination of Copics and Prisma Color pencils.  I also paper pieced her hat, scarf, boots, gloves and coat.  I added Snow White Flower Soft to her hat, gloves and boots.  The "snow" is Clear Martha Stewart glitter.  The little pearl buttons are from Memory Box and can be found HERE.  The image was matted using dark brown Bazill CS.

Did you see the awesome Ivory Crocheted ribbon??  Oh my gosh, I just bought it the other day and couldn't wait to use it!!!  It is by May Arts and can be found HERE!  I then added a SU! brown button as well as the CUTEST little heart charm which I bought HERE!  The heart was tied on the button and Heidi Swapp acetate snowflake using SU! linen thread.  The sentiment is included with the MFT's stamp and was stamped on Vintage Cream CS using Chocolate Chip ink and then cut out to look like a banner.   Here is a closer look at the charm and ribbon ~

Sending a Flurry of Love.....

Good Morning!

Have you seen the new Pure Innocence stamps from My Favorite Things???  Oh my gosh, they are SO cute!!!  Here is a card I made a while ago ~

 

The base of this card is Whisper White which I embossed using my Swiss Dots embossing folder at the top and then added a strip, just above the bottom, of Basic Black.  The DP is from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses Collection.  The image, Flurry of Love, was stamped on Whisper White using Black Momento ink and then colored using a combination of Prismacolor Pencils and Copic Markers.  I paper pieced the jacket and boots.  I added white flock to the hat fold and mitten trim and Martha Stewart glitter to the hat pom pom.  For the snow and snowflakes, I used Clear Martha Stewart glitter and as usual, used my Quickie glue pen to adhere it.  When I cut the image out using my rectangle Nesties, prior to removing the die, I used a black marker and made a frame.  The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White and then I cut that out using THESE Spellbinders dies.  I made a frame along the bottom of the sentiment as well.  Below the image piece I first added a small white border which was punched using my EK Success small scallop punch and then matted with the same DP and then Basic Black CS.

Puppy Hugs.....

Wow, 2 postings in one day!!!  What has gotten in to me?!?!?  LOL!!!  It must be because all it has done here this Spring is rain so I haven't HAD to do my outside chores and the inside ones, well.....we won't go there!!! LOL!!!   My Aunt and Uncle just got a new little Cocker Spaniel puppy so I wanted to make a little gift to send them. 

Here is a picture of the card, which was based on Cindy's MFT Sketch Challenge #31.  BTW, did you know that the amazing Cindy Haffner is blogging now???  I am so excited that she has decided to do it!!   Anyway, here is the card ~

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip with a mat of the red which is the back of the fire hydrant/bone SEI Paper.   The striped paper is also SEI and can be found HERE.   I matted the striped piece with Chocolate Chip cardstock and then added silver eyelets so it would MAYBE look like a collar!!  Not quite huh?!?!?  You really need to use your imagination!!! LOL!!!  The focal image is so STINKIN' cute!!!  I love this new set from MFT.  It is called Friends Furever and can be found HERE!   I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink.  I then colored with my Prismacolor Pencils.  I added some glitter to "Rocky's" collar with my Copic Spica Clear glitter pen.  I also cut a fire hydrant out from the decorative paper and mounted it on the front using a dimensional.  The Puppy Hugs was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink and then punched out using my small oval punch.  I also used my Paw tracks wheel and Chocolate Chip ink to make paw prints on this piece.  I mounted it using dimensionals.  The focal piece was then matted with Chocolate Chip cardstock and then the red from the fire hydrant decorative paper.   BTW, the dog on this card is a little bigger than my Aunt & Uncle's new Cocker!!!

In case you didn't know, the dogs name is Rocky!  I used my Quickutz to do the name.  After punching them, I ran them through my Xyron and then slapped them on the bone!!! LOL!!!  The bone is actually another stamp included in the Friends Furever  set which in this case I stamped using Chocolate Chip ink and then stamped on Whisper White cardstock.  I then cut it out and added the silver eyelet at the top.  I also used the Paw Tracks wheel and Chocolate Chip ink on this too!  The heart is just a little jewel I had laying around.  The jar is from Target.  I have had the dog bone ribbon for years!!  I got it from Oriental Trading.  It is self adhesive so I stuck it around the outside of the lid.  I then added silver cord to tie the name plate on.   I decorated the outside of the jar with the coordinating Park Buddies rub ons.

Here is a picture of the top of the jar.  I used my Creative Memories cutter and Scalloped Circle Nestabilities to layer the paper ~

The sticker on the top is another coordinating piece from SEI and can be found HERE!   Yes, I know it is upside down!  What the heck was I thinking???  Oh well, when they look at it from the back, the hydrant will be right side up!!!  It is not me and how I screwed it up....it is the screwed up way people look at things!!! LOL!!!

Happy Birthday from all of us!!!

Boy, I am on a roll!!!  I have another card for you!!!  This card is for Cindy's MFT Sketch Challenge #27!  As usual, I didn't COMPLETELY follow the sketch because I couldn't fit a sentiment on the card where it was supposed to go!  I am sure Cindy will forgive me!!! LOL!!  Anyway, here is my card ~

The base of this card is Whisper White with a mat of Basic Black cardstock and then the orange and then striped pattern from the NEW Basic Grey Cupcake Collection!!!  Jennifer sent me this paper collection for my Birthday!!!  She also included a Quickie Glue pen which will NOT go to waste!!!  Thanks Jen!!!  If you are looking for this paper, Tamara will have it in her store within the next few days!!! 

The strip across the bottom is first Basic Black cardstock in which I used my scalloped scissors to add the decorative edges and then a red decorative piece from the Cupcake collection.  I topped it off with ribbon I got from Michael's.  I did add Black Diamond Stickles to the centers of all of the flowers on the ribbon.  The stamped image is by My Favorite Things and is called Let's go for a walk (Michelle has this on sale).  I stamped the image using Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I colored using my Prismacolor Pencils and my Copic Spica glitter pens.  The balloons were punched using my Quickutz.  The "string" is by Making Memories.  I threaded  a small needle and poked 2 holes at each dogs mouth and noses.  I wanted to make it look like they had the strings in their mouths....  I taped the balloon end of the string to the back of each balloon and then took another piece of the string and tied a knot at the base of each balloon.  I mounted these balloons using dimensionals.

Get Well Soon......

Good Morning!
It is dreary and rainy here AGAIN today!  It really needs to stop.  It is Spring now so the weather really needs to start acting like it!! LOL!!  OK, I'll stop complaining because I know that some of you are still getting SNOW!!!  My card is for Cindy's MFT Monday Sketch challenge and is really appropriate for the weather we have had lately!

I LOVE paper piecing and on this card I did a lot of that!  The base of my card is Celery and is 5 1/4 square.  The next mat is Basic Black cardstock.  All of the decorative papers are from Daisy D's and can be found HERE!   On top of the pink striped paper I used a strip of Celery cardstock and then a mat of the butterfly decorative paper.  The flowers are from Making Memories and were glued on using Elmer's glue.  I also added MAMBI crystals to the center of each flower using Elmer's glue again.  The stamps are all from MFT and is called Rain or Shine.  I stamped the focal image using Basic Black ink on Basic Grey Mellow cloud paper.  I colored a few of the parts using Prismacolor pencils and paper pieced the rest.  I also added some glitter using my Copic Spica clear glitter pen on the dog collar and umbrella handle.  I matted this on Basic Black cardstock and mounted it using dimensionals.  The clouds were stamped on the same Basic Grey Mellow cloud paper using my Versamark.  I then heat embossed using Ranger Antique Crystals embossing powder.  It gave it some glitter and texture.  I then cut them out and mounted them using dimensionals as well.  The sentiment was stamped using Basic Black ink. 

There you go!!!  I have another card to share and will upload shortly.  I got all my new Basic Grey stuff from Lindsey and since I love it all, I am not sure which to start with!!!  I also saw Tamara today and got a few new things from her too!!!  I better get busy because you will all want to see this stuff!

Seeing RED!!!

No, I'm not mad!!!  Actually, I'm pretty excited about how this card turned out!!!  Hope you like it too!!!  The layout is based on Cindy's MFT Sketch Challenge #24.   I kindof fudged on the sketch so hopefully I won't get in trouble!!! LOL!!!  Today, I used products I have purchased from Michelle at Stampers Dream.

Michelle has the most beautiful red, Memory Box paper pack called Flirt.  The decorative papers I used on this card are from that pack.  I used 2 patterns on this card that are included in the pack.  The base of my card is Basic Black.  I then did a mat of Whisper White but, I did not have the mat come down past the bottom of the card.  I cropped the bottom white piece to be even with the decorative flourished striped piece.  I cut the scalloped strip separately using my scalloped scissors and instead of having it hang with the scallops down, I faced them up BECAUSE, that is how the cowgirls dress has it!!!!  I was excited about that little detail!!!!  As usual, I added just a LITTLE bling!!!  The clear crystal bling is by Hero Arts and can be found HERE.

OK, do you not LOVE the double flourish at the bottom?!?!?  Oh my gosh I LOVE this stamp and am so glad I got it!!!  The stamp is by Hero Arts and can be found HERE.   I stamped it right on to the Flirt paper using Basic Black.   I stamped the sentiment (from Ride 'em Cowgirl) using Basic Black on another pattern of Flirt paper.  I punched it out using my small oval punch, sponged around the edges using Whisper White craft ink and then mounted it on the card using dimensionals.

The image is from My Favorite Things and is called Ride 'em Cowgirl and was stamped on Whisper White using Basic Black.  I colored her using my Prismacolor pencils AND I added Caramel Latte Flock on her rope by using my Quickie Glue Pen.   The flocking really made the rope look real.  I matted this with Basic Black cardstock.  The last step was to use my SU! photo corner punch and punched out from the same pattern of paper that the sentiment is on.  I added a crystal to each corner.

My Favorite Things is releasing 2 new stamp sets tomorrow night and later in the week, Michelle will have them in her store!  She has also re-ordered a bunch of the older ones too!  Check her store HERE later this week if you are interested!

Celebrate in Style....

Happy Wednesday!
Mary went back to school today and her arm is getting better every day!  She is still limited in what she can do but since she will have the cast on for 6 weeks, she should become a pro at being 1 handed!!!  She is trying to figure out how she will hold her Easter basket AND collect eggs on Sunday.  For now, I have been dubbed her basket carrier so we'll see.....

This card is based on Cindy's, My Favorite Things, weekly sketch challenge on SCS.  The stamp set is My Favorite Things ~ Let's go for a walk set and can be found HERE!   It looks like Michelle doesn't currently have it in stock but I am sure if you email her, she will let you know when she expects it!

OK, here is my card~

I know, you are probably thinking, why didn't Lynda use more bling on her card.  Does she NOT like bling anymore?!?!?  Well, please don't fret ~ I used a tiny bit of bling but you know, you CAN overdo it sometimes so I kept it to ONLY using 1 whole package of crystals!!! LOL!!! 

The base of my card is Whisper White with a mat of Textured Basic Black then Whisper White again and the top polka dot piece is from some KI Memories paper I have.  The Celebrate in Style was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  This was then punched out using my Marvy Oval scallop punch.  I added a "few" Heidi Swapp clear crystals on the scallop edges.  The image was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using  Basic Black ink.  I colored using mostly my Prismacolor Pencils and Mineral Spirits.  I did use a blender pen and Watercolor Crayon for the girls skin and I used my Copic Spica glitter pens for the dogs' collars and party hats.  I added a "few" more crystals to the dogs collars and the girls wrist.  This was mounted on the front of the card using dimensionals.  The white ruffled ribbon is May Arts and the black and white polka dot ribbon is from Micheal's.  Oh, I colored the polka dots on the girls dress using my black Spica glitter pen as well as her shoes.

Here is a close~up of the image.  I LOVE the way the Prismacolor pencils color in large images.  There are no lines and the color just blends so nicely!  I hope you like it too!!!

Well, there you have it!  I am finishing up my little candy garden's for the kids' teachers so I don't know if I will be posting again today but I will try!
