Clean and Simple Flourish ~ Life is not Measured....

I have a quick card to share with you!  I made this card for today's clean and simple challenge at SCS which was to use flourishes on our cards.

This was a really simple card.  The base is Pink Pirouette and then I added a mat of True Black.  The decorative papers are from Webster's Pages Wonderfall/Hollywood Vogue Collection.  I stamped the sentiment from Verve's Beautiful You set, inside the frame that was already on the paper AND I might add, it fit perfectly!  I used Black Memento ink.  I then punched the side of the larger piece of DP using my Martha Stewart Cornice border punch, added the second pattern of paper and then the Zva pearl flourish.  The flower was cut from MFT's black felt using PTI's Blooms II dies.  I then added the SU! vintage brad, the tag stamped with the enjoy sentiment from Verve's Enjoy set and then added some leaves I cut from another pattern of the DP.  I added a few of the leftover pearls from the flourish on the frame and brad.

Moxie Fab Neutral Color Challenge ~ Missing You....

Hi!

I LOVE the colors of my card today!  I REALLY LOVE them and will definitely use them again!  I don't know why I hadn't thought of these colors before!  I take no credit for them.  The colors are from the Neutrals Color Challenge for Color Inspiration for Card Makers Week in the Moxie Fab World challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog.  There are multiple color challenges going on over there.  You can check them ALL out HERE!  Here are the colors for the neutral challenge ~

Beautiful aren't they?!?!  Here is my card ~

 

  The base of this card is Blue Bayou and is 4 1/4" square.  The next layer is Early Espresso and then on top is a textured piece of CS included in the DCWV Linen Closet Collection.  In fact, the tree, clouds, "hills" and scallops on the "hills" are also from that collection.  The "hills" were cut using my oval Nesties and scalloped oval Nesties.  The tree is from MFT's Grow Love set and paper pieced with the Linen Closet DP on the top and the trunk of the tree was pieced using a wood pattern, that matched PERFECTLY I might add, from MME True Blue Fine and Dandy Collection.  The clouds were cut using my MFT cloud dies and the sentiment was adhered using a Kraft button, topped with a clear SU! heart button and May Arts Ivory burlap string.  The sentiment is from MFT's Flurry of Love set and was stamped on the Taupe colored CS using Early Espresso ink and then cut out and adhered using a glue dot!

My Favorite Things WSC ~ Mommy's Little Angel....

Happy Sunday!  I hope your weekend has been great!  My card today is based on My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch #2 (AKA ~ MFTWSC2).

The decorative paper is again from Webster's Pages Wonderfall/Hollywood Vogue Collection.  I really like these papers!  My card base is Baja Breeze with a mat of Vintage Cream.   The next Vintage Cream panel was embossed using my SU! Victorian Wallpaper folder and matted with Early Espresso CS.  The sweet image is from MFT's Pure Innocence line and is called Little Angel.  I stamped her one time on Select White CS, cut her out.  Stamped again on the Blue DP (dress) and cut that out.  I then stamped one more time on the off white panel.  I colored her and pieced her dress on her and then added White Liquid Pearls on the buttons, shoes and around her collar.  I REALLY need to practice coloring skin with the Copics...Oh well, she looks VERY fair, almost pink!!! LOLOL!!! 

I cut the side circle from the same DP using my Lacey Circle Nesties, added the ribbon and finally the little tag that I stamped the sentiment, also included in the set, using Early Espresso ink.

Paper Pretties ~ What the Cluck???? You're Egg-specting????

You will understand my title in a minute...but first I want to tell you that my card is based on a new, to me, challenge blog I found called The Spotted Chick!   Jeanie, the Spotted Chick herself, is a very talented stamper and I have enjoyed seeing her beautiful creations.  Jeanie's challenge this week is to use Kraft CS.  Well, that's easy enough! 

The sentiment is egg-sactly what any of my friends would say if they were egg-specting!!! hahahahaha!!!  The base of this card is Kraft CS, is 4 1/4 square and the decorative paper is from October Afternoon's Modern Homemaker Collection.   The darling image, from Paper Pretties and is called ~ What the Cluck?, was stamped on Vintage Cream CS using Black Memento ink.  I stamped it a second time on a scrap piece of CS, cut it out and colored using my Copic Markers and Prismacolor Pencils.  I LOVE this set!  We call our chickens the Clucks and when they don't produce eggs, they are referred to as the "non producing Clucks".  I know, I need to get a life!! LOL!!!  I colored this little girl the same color as our Rhode Island Red Chickens.   Paper Pretties has Cluck part II, which I need to get, as well.  It is so cute too!!! 

Of course the spotted egg was paper pieced and then I added the sentiment on Kraft CS using Early Espresso ink and tied it on using May Arts Natural burlap string and a Basic Grey button that matched the yellow in the flowers perfectly!  The scallop at the bottom of the image is from my SU! scallop punch.  The image was then matted with Early Espresso ink.  Here is a closer look at the image ~

 I adhered the nest directly on the Vintage Cream CS and then used dimensionals to pop up my little hen.   Paper Pretties has some darling images so if you get a chance, check out my good friend Heather's store HERE!

Love Birds....

Hi!

Happy Wednesday!  My card today is for today's sketch challenge at SCS.

 The base of this card is Select White with a mat of True Black.  All of the decorative paper is from Bo Bunny's Crush Collection.  The strip across the top is True Black cardstock which I punched the top of using my Fiskars Apron border punch.  I then added a strip of patterned paper and then black twill ribbon from May Arts.  The birdcage is chipboard and is by Maya Road.  I first painted it black and then added black glitter from Pink Paislee using a paintbrush and Elmer's Glue.  The birds, that look a little like seagulls, were punched from Select White CS using my Martha Stewart Sparrow punch.  The sparrows had legs when I punched them but I cut them off and added eyes with a black marker since they didn't have eyes!!! lolol  The heart was punched from red glitter paper using my Martha Stewart heart confetti punch.  I first glued the cage down on the heart panel and then tied the bow using white floss and silver cord.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ I Just Love You........

Happy New Year!

I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable New Year!!  We didn't do anything which was great!  I went to bed around 9.  I was so tired! LOL!! 

We are back on track with our Crazy Challenges!  Today, our challenge is to celebrate something. anything!!  I am celebrating Love which works well since our next holiday is Valentine's day.  It is more of a masculine Valentine ~

 

The base of this card is Naturals White with a mat of cork from MFT.   The top blue panel is Marina Mist and the green panel is Pear Pizazz.  The darling tree, from Through the Trees, was stamped on Naturals White using Pear Pizazz for the Leaves and Early Espresso for the trunk.  The birds were stamped and cut out using Marina Mist ink.   The sentiment is from the Delightful Dahlia set and was stamped on Naturals White using Early Espresso ink, punched using my Martha Stewart tag punch and tied on using May Arts natural burlap string.  The button is from SU! and the little heart charms were tied on using the same burlap string.  The scallop punch is from SU! and the grass punch is from Martha Stewart.

Happy Christmas Eve!

Today, my daughter and I are going to do some baking and I still have presents to wrap.  I refuse to go shopping again, especially today!!! LOL!!!

I have a very simple card to share with you and I promise to not babble on for forever so this won't take long!!

The base of this card is True Black and the beautiful flocked DP is from My Minds Eye's Black Lush Collection.  I cut the top of the DP using THIS Spellbinders Pierceabilities die.  I then tied on the Ivory Silk ribbon from May Arts and added a little pink rose from Zva.

Here is the inside ~

The sentiment panel is Vintage Cream and I added a black decorative border and a strip of polka dot paper also included in the Black Lush Collection.  The sentiment is from Verve's Just for You set and was stamped using Black Memento ink.

Serendipity Stamps Wednesday ~ HolidayThank you.....

Hi!

Today's Serendipity Stamps challenge is to make a Holiday Thank you card.  I decided to use THIS Covered Bridge image and on the inside THIS sentiment.

The base of this card is Sage Shadow and is 5" square.  The DP is from Webster's Pages Waiting for Santa Collection.  The Covered Bridge image was stamped on SU! Naturals Ivory using Black Memento ink and colored using my Copics.  I accented with my white gel pen and then added clear Martha Stewart glitter using my Quickie glue pen.  The decorative edge under the image was punched using my Martha Stewart border punch.  The Heidi Swapp acetate snowflake was tied on, along with a punched snowflake and Making Memories decorative brad, using Natural Burlap string from May Arts.

Verve Sneak Peek Blog Hop......

Hello!

Today we are celebrating another Verve release with a blog hop! If you came from Michelle's blog then you are right on track. If you did not, I have a list of participants at the end of my post in case you are interested!

For my first card, I used the Verve's NEW set called Amazing Wishes ~

The base of this card is 5" square and is Select White CS.   the next layer is True Black with a mat of a bluish/green piece of paper from Basic Grey's Olivia Collection.  The next layer is first True Black and then Select White.  I scored the top piece in to quarters and then added a polka dot embossed square under the pink flower.  I used my circle Nesties to cut the 3 circles, added the same pink paper (all from Olivia) inside the circles and then stamped the darling flower from Amazing Wishes on the DP using my Versamark and heat embossed.  I cut them all out, mounted them on dimensionals and added a black SU! button on the pink flower as well as THIS pink burlap string.

Here is a picture of the inside!  YES, the sentiment is crooked!!!  What the heck?!?!? LOL!!  I didn't notice until I was editing the picture and didn't have time to fix it!!  I used the same NEW set, Amazing Wishes and Vintage Oval Stamp as well as the coordinating die.

The border was punched on the True Black CS using one of my Fiskars border punches.

Beautiful Gina K Damask.....

Happy Black Friday!!! LOL!!!  I don't think I will be venturing out today.  There isn't anything I need that bad to get up so early!!! LOL!!!

The card I am sharing with you today was made using THIS beautiful Grand Damask stamp.  I had seen this stamp used on SCS a while back and knew that I had to have it!  I love it!

The base of this card is Crumb Cake CS with a mat of Select White and then Lemon Tart CS.  I embossed the lower portion of the Lemon Tart panel using one my SU! embossing folder.  I stamped the damask image on the Lemon Tart CS using Crumb Cake ink.  I stamped it again on Crumb Cake CS and then cut about an inch off the top using my pinking shears and punched the bottom using my SU! border punch.  I then lined it up to line up with the lower portion of the first stamped image, trimmed the sides, taped it down and added a strip of Ivory burlap string.  The final step was to add the small, clear Memory Box rhinestones.

This was really a simple card and I really like the colors.  I will definitely using these colors again!
