So, does my GINORMOUS flower stick out like a huge zit on the end of your nose???? It actually IS big but it really coordinated perfectly with the Groovy Guava CS!!! I know though that this sucker is NOT going to fit in to a regular square envelope.
This is really an easy card. The base of the card is 5 1/4" square, Very Vanilla, then a layer of Groovy Guava and then a layer of vanilla cs that has vines embossed (dry) on it. I don't think that shows up in the picture but it really does take away a little from the HUGE zit, oh I mean flower......
I then stamped Tres Chic on Groovy Guava CS with Groovy Guava ink. I then used my glue stick to adhere it to a 4" square chipboard coaster. After it dried, I sanded the edges. The brad in the center of the flower is aged copper and is from Making Memories. The lace is from an old stash of ribbon I had so I have no idea where I got it but it is PERFECT and I have lots more!!!! I made the butterfly using 2 "S" clips from my Aged Copper Hodgepodge kit. You butt the 2 clips up to each other and use a dot of Crystal Effects to the top and bottom where they touch. The butterfly body is from my Stipple Butterfly stamp and I used Basic Brown ink to stamp it on vanilla CS. I cut it out, flipped over the butterfly wings (make sure your CE has dried) and then put 2 dots of CE on the clips where they are touching and then lay your butterfly body on top. Let this dry.
I then used my blender pen and Groovy Guava ink to color the body and adding a little glitter with my stardust glitter pen.
Have a great evening!
