I am unbelievably weak! I don't know HOW many times I had picked up and put down the Cuttlebug. Well....... I gave in and finally bought it! I could not stand it and now, am so glad I did. I can see I will get a LOT of use out of this little gem. I must say though, the reason I did give in is because A.C. Moore had all of their Cuttlebug products on sale at 40% off! I know, I am WEAK but you have to see what I made! I made the following card for Sunday's Featured Stamper Challenge. The featured stamper is 88keys (this is her SCS name) and her entire awesome gallery is located HERE. The card I CASE'd is HERE.
The base of the card is Summer Sun, then I layered black with white polka dot decorative paper from KI Memories and then I used Whisper White to emboss with MY BRAND NEW Cuttlebug!!!!! Have I mentioned that I REALLY like it????? I then put a strip of the decorative paper across front (not in the center, more toward the bottom) and then put a piece of white taffeta ribbon on top of the paper. I always tape my ribbon on the back (I must not waste ribbon!) and then used a piece of both taffeta and black gingham and tied a knot (I tied the knot after I mounted the stamped image).
OK, the bee is a stamp by Stampendous. It has words on it so I used my black marker and just colored on the bee then huffed on it and stamped. The paper I used on this is the same as the base. I colored the bee with my SU! markers and then added LOTS of stickles. I matted the stamped image with the decorative paper and then slapped them on the Summer Sun piece I punched with my Marvy scallop square punch. I used dimensionals to mount this to the front of the card. I really like how this turned out and boy was it easy to make!
The next card is for a layout challenge from CPS as well as a "Fall Back on Black" challenge from SCS' DTGD challenges a week or so ago.
The base of this card is Whisper White, then Basic Black CS and the decorative paper is from Basic Grey's Pheobe line. The white squares along the bottom are 1 1/4" square then matted with black. Before cutting the squares, I stamped my sentiment (SU! Stem Sayings) with Certainly Celery ink and the swirls from Fancy Pants Pollen Dust using Cool Caribbean. The strip (before cutting) of white is 5" long and 1 1/4" wide.
The black ribbon is from Michael's. I cut the bird out from the Phoebe paper and mounted it using a dimensional. I did add some stardust stickles for some shine. The upper 2 corners were punched with my ticket corner punch and the brads are Rose Red from SU!
Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Oh My gosh! Awesome card! I don't own a cuttlebug, but I LOVE their embossing folders and use them frequently in my Sizzix. The little bee is so cute and I like the white BG-it really sets off the color in the bee.
I like that phoebe paper too much to cut into it! I just can't make myself do it yet, but this card comes close to making me REALLY want to use it! *grin*

I, like you, held out as long as I could before buying the CB, but finally did it last week with a 40% off coupon. I really love it, but out store doesn't offer much selection for the embossing folders. I love your card, will have to CASE it soon.
Thanks for sharing.
