In celebration of Mothers and Daughters Creations GRAND OPENING, Jennifer, Tamara and I are going to each post a challenge for you beginning right now, with my challenge!!! Woohooo, I'm first!!! If you have ANY questions or just want to chat, you can go to Mothers and Daughters Creations forum HERE. You will need to join the board in order to chat! Ok, now for the details of the challenges ~
1. You will have until Wednesday, February 13th at 12pm (EST) to get your cards in.
2. In the comments section of the person who issued the challenges Blog, provide a link to your blog or on line gallery where we can find your card! If you do upload to SCS, you can put MDCLB1 in the keyword section and we can also find the cards that way! Jennifer and Tamara will provide the keywords for their challenges!
3. The winners will be announced Thursday, February 14th.
4. There will be one person chosen to be Mothers and Daughters guest designer for March! This person will need to do all 3 challenges plus a bonus challenge that Tamara will post on her blog starting at 9!
Jennifer will post her challenge at 8pm and then Tamara will post her challenge at 9pm so be sure to check them out ~ I will!!!
Now you probably want to know what you will win!! OK, for my challenge, you can win an AWESOME, Prima prize package shown here ~
My challenge to you is to go to House of Stirfry or any other site you might know of that has card templates available, choose one ~ ANY one and make your card! There is no limit to the number of cards you can submit!!! I have had so much fun with these templates. There is a birdhouse one I really want to try and I am still working on my dress one! Templates make card making so easy!!! A few weeks ago I used the cowboy boot template so if you would like another sample, here you go! There are NO limitations, just use a template AND your imagination!!! Here is my card!
All decorative papers and bling used on this card is from Prima. This card is a bit unusual. The base does not open but the dress does (I will show you a picture of the inside in a minute). The base of the card is first THIS decorative paper and then a base of textured Basic Black cardstock. Before I adhered the black cardstock on to the decorative paper, I first cut out my Little Black Dress from smooth Basic Black cardstock which I folded in half so I had a front and back of the dress when I was done cutting. I then cut the dress on the back flap just below the straps. I then adhered the "straps" in between the decorative paper and the textured black cardstock. I then cut my dress again (just 1 layer this time) using THIS paper. I then mounted the top decorative paper on top of the smooth black cardstock and embellished. I added narrow black organdy ribbon around the waist and the "buckle" is from THIS pack of Crystal Flower Centers. The crystals on the butterfly, diamond necklace and the flower center are from THIS pack of swirl crystals (LOVE THESE!!!). I used my Quickie glue pen to adhere them.
Here is a close up of the bling ~
OK, the dress lifts up (get your mind out of the gutter!!!) and that is where my sentiment is. Here is a picture ~
Yes, that is a smudge I made on her left boob! Can you believe that?!?!? Oh well, it was too late to re-do and you know, it IS handmade!!! LOL!!! The rubons are from Cherished Memories (SU!) and the happy birthday is my Elzybells stamp. I used Basic Black to stamp the sentiment. Since this card was made so quickly, I decided to add a little gift thingy as well! See, now I am ahead of the game because I have a gift holder and card to give to a friend for her birthday. NOW, all I need is a friend to give it to!!! LOL!!!
This was a paper mache box (same one I used for my Halloween spiders) which I painted with a dark brown acrylic paint. I added the same Prima paper to the lid using a glue stick, gently sanded the sides and added my Clear Crystal Swirls. I made the butterfly by using THESE flowers and a Crystal Flower Center for the butterfly's body. Here is a close up of the butterfly ~
Here is a picture of one side of the box which I stamped using Colorbox black ink and THIS stamp set.
Making a box is not part of the challenge but I really wanted to give you a better idea of how awesome all of these Prima products are! OK, stop reading and get stamping!!! I can't wait to see what you all do!!
~Lynda

Hi Lynda,
Well I had good intentions but only managed to complete your portion. I chose the swing card. It was easier than I thought. Here is the link to my card.
