Jacksonbelle Tuesday!!!

Good Morning!!!
Don't forget that today is the LAST day to get your Inka cards in to me for Lindsey's contest!!!  The details are all right HERE!!  Today, we had no particular challenge but to just make a card using Lindsey's products.  Well, that was easy!!!!  She does have new Prima and Inkadinkado Stamps in her store!  Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Whisper White and is 5" square.  I then layered a plum color and then beautiful pink floral piece from the Eva ~ Basic Grey Collection.  The next 2 layers are first (from the bottom up) the same Plum paper and then a pink piece which is also from the Eva Collection.  I did add some piercing along the edges of this piece using my new Ornare template.  The focal image is another Fairy from THIS new Inka set.  I stamped her using Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I then colored using a combination of my Prismacolor Pencils and a blender pen and Pink Pirouette & Creamy Caramel ink pads.  Of course I HAD to add Shimmerz!  I used my Sugar Plum and Opal Shimmerz EVERYWHERE!!! LOL!!!  I stamped the flower a second time, cut it out, mounted it on top of the first flower using a dimensional and then added a clear rhinestone to the center.  The sentiment is from Elzybells which I stamped on Whisper White using Basic Black ink and then punched it out using my Word Window punch.  I then adhered it on to the beautiful May Arts ribbon using gold cord.

Our Creative Corner Saturday Challenge ~ Stitching!!!

AKKKK ~ I did football stuff first thing this a.m. and will need to go back so I will post my card now and will be back later with all the deets!!!!

Amy is our hostess again this week and her challenge was to make a card using stitching but not just ANY stitching ~ NO WHITE STITCHING!!!!  The stitching on this card is actually PERFECT so if it looks off to you, you might want to get your eyes checked because it is I KNOW it is NOT MY STITCHING!!! LOL!!!  If you have followed my blog, you KNOW it is my stitching!!!! LOL!!!

HERE are the details on the card ~
The base is Chocolate Chip with a mat of Bazzill Turquoise and then the snowflake paper from My Minds Eye.  The strip toward the bottom is first Chocolate Chip cardstock and then another pattern from My Minds Eye.  The image is by Penny Black and is called Winter Glitter.  I stamped the image on Shimmery White cardstock (stamped the stocking a second time on a scrap of Shimmery White and then cut it out) using Chocolate Chip ink.  I added Martha Stewart clear rhinestones to the "strings".  The images were colored using my Prismacolor Pencils and then I painted all the images with Coffee Shimmerz.  The stocking was mounted on top of the first stamped stocking using dimensionals.  I then added the decorative Chocolate Chip cardstock to the top of the image which I punched using a Martha Stewart border punch.  I then matted the image on Chocolate Chip cardstock and then mounted it on top of the Bazzill Turquoise cardstock which I sewed using my Janome sewing machine.  I also stitched around the entire outside of the card and strip toward the bottom.

The OCC has a special guest this weekend, Michelle Rodgers, and she is also giving a prize from her store, Stampers Dream.  Thanks Michelle for the awesome sample and gift!!!

SCS ~ Limited Supplies ~ Let It Snow!!!!

Hello!!!
This card is for today's Limited Supplies challenge at SCS.  The challenge was to make a Christmas card using Critter stamps!  Here is my card ~

If you did check out the challenge, you would have seen that I DID NOT follow the directions.  The only embellishment we were allowed to use was ribbon and I added the snowflakes!!!  I know, you wouldn't have noticed if I didn't point them out!!! LOL!!!  I swear, I have trouble following instructions sometimes!!!  I got my card all done and then on my way to pick up the kids, realized that I didn't follow the rules!!!  Oh well, I adhered it with a pop up glue dot and there was no way it would come off so just pretend that I followed the instructions and it isn't there!!! LOL!!!

The base of my card is Real Red.  The bottom panel is a pattern from the new Ski Slope Collection and was matted with Basic Black cardstock.  I added the Let It Snow sentiment from Hero Arts which I stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I then cut the wave using my Creative Memories wavy cutter.  I matted this with Baja Breeze cardstock and then added the black May Arts ribbon with a piece of Olive satin SU! ribbon on top and tied a knot.  The snowflakes are felt Baja Breeze and were painted with Elmer's glue and then I added white Martha Stewart glitter.  The center white glitter brad is from Imaginisce and can be found HERE!  I adhered it using a pop up glue dot.  The focal image is by Stampabilities and was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I colored using my Baja Breeze, Real Red and Kiwi Kiss ink pads and a blender pen.  I also colored using my Prismacolor pencils.  I added the same Martha glitter for the "snow" and then matted this with first Basic Black and then Baja Breeze cardstock.  I used dimensionals to mount this on the front!

A Fairy Nice NEW Inkadinkado Stamp Set.....

Hello!!!
I got some new stamps from Inkadinkado the other day and was really excited to use this new Fairy set!!!  It was calling my name to be colored!!!  I LOVE coloring and thought what fun stamps these would be to color!!!  Anyway, the sketch is based on Jen's SFYTT and I added a charm I have had for years which is part of today's SCS Ways to Use it challenge.  Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Orchid Opulance (I probably spelled this wrong because I NEVER use it), with a mat of Basic Black and then some old Disney Tinkerbell paper matted with Whisper White.   The fairy and butterfly are from a new Inka set and can be found HERE!!!!  I stamped the fairy and butterfly on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I stamped the butterfly again on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out.  I colored with both Prismacolor Pencils and SU! Watercolor Crayons.  I added LOTS of Shimmerz to the images!!!  The image is REALLY pretty and much more vibrant than my picture shows ~ in real life.  I added Bubble Gum Shimmerz on top of the pink areas and then added Angel Wings Shimmerz on top of the Celery colored areas and THEN added Sugar Plum Shimmerz to the Purple areas!  I also added Bubble Gum Shimmerz to the fairy trails.  Here is a close up of that ~

I am sure you are SHOCKED that I used shiny stuff on my card since I don't use it very often!!! LOL!!!  I used dimensionals to mount the butterfly and then matted the image piece on first Basic Black and then Orchid.  I added white flower eyelets to the side of the image and then wrapped THIS Black and White May Arts polka dot ribbon and then added a little flower charm which I can't remember where I got it.  I tied it on using white Scrappers floss. 

Also, Lindsey just got lots of new Prima and Inkadinkado posted in her store!!!  She now has the new  penguin set that I used on my card the other day ~ HERE!!!

MDC Thursday Challenge ~ You Make Me Smile!!!

Good Thursday Morning!
Wow, we have a heck of a storm coming in today.  I had to go take down everything that could possibly blow away!!!  Better to do it now than go retrieve it all out of the woods tomorrow!!! LOL!!!  Today's MDC challenge is another sketch!!!  I LOVE sketches and this one was really simple to work with!  I made this card to put in my daughters lunch tomorrow ~ she will be so excited!!!  Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Whisper White with a mat of THIS Bo Bunny cardstock and then THIS Bo Bunny decorative paper.  The strip across the middle is the polka dot side of THIS Bo Bunny cardstock which I punched the edges using my SU! scallop border punch.  BTW, MDC has all of their Bo Bunny on sale this month.  You can check it out HERE!  I then added a strip of Whisper White cardstock which I ran through my Cuttlebug using my swirls embossing folder.  I then added some white and then coral color May Arts ribbon.  The focal image is THIS one by Serendipity Stamps.  I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I then colored using a combination of Prismacolor Pencils and a blender pen with Cameo Coral, Barely Banana and Ruby Red ink pads.  The sentiment is a rubon from SU! and I added White Flock with my Quickie glue pen to the lamb and chick.  I also added White Liquid Pearls to the centers of the flowers.  I cut the image out using my oval Nestabilities and then used the scalloped oval Nestie to make the polka dot frame around the image.  I used dimensionals to adhere this to the front.  See how easy!!!

SCS Sketch Challenge Wednesday ~ ANOTHER Christmas Card.....

I PROMISE that I will not post another Christmas card tomorrow!!! LOL!!!  I just got this new stamp set from Inkadinkado and it worked perfectly for today's sketch!!!!  The penguin stamp is 1 of 8 in a brand new clear set.  You can see the entire set HERE.  Lindsey will be getting this set and many other new ones any day now so if you are interested in getting the set, you can email Lindsey and she will notify you when it is received!!!

The layout is based on today's sketch challenge at SCS.  The base of my card is Whisper White with a mat of Basic Black and then a mat of Baja Breeze that I ran through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  The decorative paper using for the 2 squares is from the new SU! Ski Slope Collection and were matted using Whisper White cardstock.  The wide white polka dot ribbon at the top is from Michael's and the little black piece is just a scrap I had.  The focal image was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I colored using my Prismacolor pencils although I did leave my square Nestabilitie die on after I cut the image out and then sponged Baja Breeze ink around the edges.  I also used a blender pen and Baja Breeze ink pad and colored the snow.  I then added white Martha Stewart glitter to the snow, falling snowflakes and SU! felt snowflakes by painting on Elmer's glue and adding the glitter.  I also added Angel Wings Shimmerz to the fire but you can't see it in my picture!  I added the googlie eyes and used White Liquid Pearls to adhere white Martha glitter to the penguin's hat band and ball on the end of his hat.  I adhered the snowflakes above the image by adding an old snowflake brad I had and a pop up glue dot.  There you go ~ super easy!!!!  Isn't the penguin cute?!?!?!

OUR CREATIVE CORNER ~ Mid Week Challenge!!!

So far so good, my modem is working!!!  Over at the OCC we decided to do a mid week challenge WITH a prize!!!!  The challenge was to CASE a OCC girl!  I CASEd Jennifer and the card I chose to CASE is HERE !  I sewed on my card but it is DEFINITELY not as good as Jen!!!!  That girl can sew straight, mine is not straight so don't think it is you that is crooked, it is my sewing!!! LOL!!!!  You can find the rest of the challenge details HERE!  Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip with a mat of Celery and then Whisper White.  The decorative poinsettia paper is by Imaginisce, cut in to 3 panels and was matted with Riding Hood Red cardstock.  I added 1" circles of Chocolate Chip cardstock on each side which I folded in half and then added silver eyelets and Chocolate gingham ribbon.  The Merry Chrismoose stamp is by Stampendous and was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink.  I colored using Prismacolor pencils.  I stamped the moose on the decorative Imaginisce snowflake paper using Chocolate Chip ink and cut the scarf out and glued it on the first stamped image.  I also stamped the moose again on Whisper White cardstock, colored the ornaments, cut them out and mounted them on top of the silver cord that I strung through the top of the antlers and under the ornament using dimensionals.  I added Stardust Stickles to the top of the ornaments.  I used a paint brush and Elmer's glue to add the white Martha Stewart glitter to the snow.  I mounted the image on top of a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock and decorative Imaginisce snowflake paper that I sewed around using my Janome.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday ~ Inkadinkado Sketch #4....

Finally, my computer is working again!!!!  My personal technician came home from work and fixed it RIGHT away!!!!  Don't forget that you MUST have all of your entries emailed to me by September 30th at 12 midnight (EST).  All the details can be found HERE!!!!  Here is the 4th and final sketch ~ SCS Keyword ~ JBE021 ~

Here is my card using the sketch ~

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip with a mat of Baja Breeze and then a pretty 2 tone blue piece of decorative paper from Basic Grey's Offbeat Collection (Lindsey has this collection on order and should receive it any time so if you are interested, email her HERE!).  I used my photo corner punch to punch Whisper White corners and corners from another pattern of decorative paper from the Offbeat Collection.  The oval on the side was cut using my oval Nestabilities.  The scallop is Chocolate Chip cardstock and then an oval from the Offbeat Collection.  The bird from Inkadinkado's Winter Birds Collection (these were in stock when I stamped this the other day but Lindsey can't keep them in stock!!!  She does have more on order and should get them any time now!) was stamped on Whisper White cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink.  I used the "out of the box" technique to cut it out and then highlighted the image with Baja Breeze ink and a blender pen.  I then added Stardust Stickles which don't show up very well in my picture.  I then matted the image with first Chocolate Chip cardstock and then Baja Breeze cardstock.  The sentiment is also by Inkadinkado and was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White cardstock and Baja Breeze cardstock.  I cut the top Whisper White oval a little smaller than the Baja Breeze piece and mounted the Whisper White piece on top of the Baja Breeze using dimensionals.

Speaking of Lindsey, her little boy, Austin, had the ventilator removed yesterday and is doing SO much better today!!!  He has been in the hospital for a week now.  Lindsey is not sure at this point when he will be coming home but he is FINALLY getting better!!!!   What good news this is!!!

Our Creative Corner Saturday Challenge ~ Chipboard!!!

Good Morning!!!
It's Saturday again and that means another OCC challenge!  Today's challenge is to use chipboard!  I don't use chipboard that often although this doesn't mean that I don't OWN 5 million pieces of it and dust it off every once in a while and think....hmmm.... I should really use some of that chipboard!!!!  Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Morning Glory cardstock which I cut using my largest scalloped square Nestability.  The top piece is a piece chipboard that already had the circles in it.  I covered the chipboard using the decorative "water" paper and a glue stick.  I sanded the outside edges and used a hobby blade to first cut the circles out and then used a nail file to sand the inside of the circles.  I added Stardust Stickles on the "waves".  I stamped the fish 6 times using Basic Black ink and cut out 3 of them.  I colored the fish with Green Galore and Bashful Blue ink and a blender pen.  The yellow fish was colored using just Shimmerz Beeswax and a paint brush.  The Beeswax was a perfect match for the Morning Glory.  I mounted the colored fish on top of the first stamped fish using dimensionals and then taped the images on the back to show through on the front.  I stamped the party hat from Crab & Co. 3 times using Basic Black ink, cut them out and colored using the same ink and Shimmerz as the fish.  I added Stardust Stickles to the polka dots as well as the water bubbles.  I used my Quickie glue pen to add the little blue rhinestones to top of the party hat.  The sentiment was printed from my computer on to Whisper White cardstock.   I adhered the chipboard piece on the front of the card using dimensionals.
