Goood Tuesday Morning!
Oh my gosh, thank you all for your submissions for our first sketch!!! We have had such a great time seeing all your beautiful creations!!! You have until Wednesday, September 30th to get your cards in to me! You can find out all the details HERE!
Here is this weeks sketch and if you upload to SCS, use the keyword JBE019~
Here is my first card ~
The base of my card is Chocolate Chip. I added a strip of an off white piece of decorative paper across the top and then 3 orange decorative paper along the bottom from the new Basic Grey Ambrosia Collection. The strip across the middle is first some copper metal which I punched using on of my Martha border punches. I then punched a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock using the same punch. I then added THESE Orange MAMBI rhinestones at each point on either side of the image as well as the bottom of the card.
The Inka ~ So Thankful image was stamped on the same off white Ambrosia paper. The way I "colored" the image was to first stamp it in Chocolate Chip ink and then took a blender pen & my Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango ink pads, colored the leaves with the two colors and then "huffed" on the stamp and stamped it. I then added Golden Wheat Shimmerz to the leaves and then cut out the image using my oval Nesties. The next mat is Chocolate Chip. The final mat is copper metal that I cute using the scalloped oval Nesties. I adhered the scalloped oval down and then ran the Tan May Arts Twill ribbon over the top and around the inside of the card, punched a 1/8" circle in the right side of the oval image and then tied each end of the twill in a knot on the right side of the image. I adhered the image using dimensionals.
Here is a close up of the image ~
Can you tell I LOVE my Shimmerz????? LOL!!! OK, here is my second card which was done following the sketch a little closer!!!
The base of this card is Basic Black with a mat of Orange from the Basic Grey Ambrosia Collection and then another mat of Basic Black. The top of my card remained black and then I added THIS and THIS Imaginisce Halloween paper. I stamped THIS Inka Halloween sentiment right on to the decorative paper using Basic Black ink. I used my ticket corner punch on the bottom side panels and top black cardstock and then added Imaginisce glitter brads (these are currently out of stock but should be back in stock soon!). I added THIS May Arts ribbon below the oval focal image (the Orange & Black gingham is currently out of stock).
For the focal image I first adhered the Imaginisce web on to the same Orange from the Ambrosia Collection. I then stamped the cat using my Versamark and then embossing with black embossing powder. I embossed the spider from the same set that has the sentiment ~ HERE ~ on Whisper Whisper cardstock, cut it out and then adhered it on my web using a dimensional. I then added a green glitter brad to the center, cut the image out using my oval Nesties and then matted on a Basic Black oval which I also cut with my Oval Nesties.
If there is something you really want, you can always email Lindsey and find out if and when it will be back in stock. The cat I used is from an Inka acrylic set called Cats & Bats. Lindsey will be getting more of these soon!

One card reminds me of Fall and Thanksgiving and the other of goblins, witches and Halloween! They are both so creative and so wonderful as always!
