Jacksonbelle New Year's Eve Challenge #4!!!!

Here we go for the final Jacksonbelle Embellishments challenge of 2008!!!  For the last challenge the details are these ~

 

New Year’s Eve gives some people the hope of a new beginning, a fresh start, the BIRTH of a NEW DAY!!!!  Lindsey’s BIRTHDAY is January 4^th so in celebration of the New Year AND Lindsey’s Birthday, make a Birthday card!!! 

How easy is that?  Here is my card for this challenge ~

 

The base of this 5" square card is Chocolate Chip cardstock and then a mat of Baja Breeze on the bottom and a decorative piece of paper from THIS Basic Grey Collection on the top.    I then added a mat of Whisper White and then Chocolate Chip which I cut using THIS Nestabilities Labels 1 collection.  I added a decorative piece from the Offbeat Collection and then ran a piece of May Arts White Satin Ribbon on top and then another piece of Chocolate and Soft Sky May Arts ribbon on top of that.  The focal image cupcake is from THIS Inkadinkado cupcake set.  I stamped the image using Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White cardstock and then cut it out using the same Nesties set.  Before I removed the die, I sponged the edges with first Chocolate Chip ink and then a little Baja Breeze ink.  I stamped the cupcake again on Whisper White cardstock and then again on Baja Breeze cardstock.  I cut out the Baja Breeze cupcake holder piece and adhered it on top of the first stamped image.  I cut the white frosting out , added Baja Breeze on the swirls using a blender pen and then mounted it on top of the first stamped image using dimensionals.  I then added Copper Stickles to the confetti on the frosting. 

The final touch was to add the piercing from an Ornare template on each corner.  I then added a clear rhinestone to each corner!  That's it!  Hope you enjoyed our challenges and that you can play along!  The details on ALL challenges are available HERE!

Jacksonbelle New Year's Eve Challenge #3!!!!

ACK!!!  I'm late!!!!  Challenge #3 is to make a SOMETHING based on your New Year Resolution!!!!  Are you going to lose weight, then make a one layer card!  Are you going to quite drinking alcohol (this is definitely not one of my resolutions) then make a card that isn't crooked!!! LOL!!!!!!  That's funny, you have to admit that!!!!  I don't make New Year Resolutions because I am NOT organized enough to keep them!!!!  Since I CANNOT EVER keep a resolution, I have resolved myself to use some of the OLD stuff I have laying around!!!!  My card is based on OLD stuff I have laying around!!! LOL!!!  You can find all the challenge and AWESOME PRIZE details HERE!  Here is my card ~

This is a really simple card ~ obviously!!! LOL!!!  The base of this card is Whisper White with a mat of Basic Black and then a beautiful piece of decorative paper from Cosmo Cricket's Fleuriste line HERE!  The ribbon is actually May Arts Twill ribbon.  The image is from Inkadinkado and is called Nostalgia.  I stamped the image 2 times on Whisper White cardstock and cut & embossed one of them using my square Nestabilities.  I cut the butterfly out of the second image, colored it using a blender pen & Soft Sky ink and then added Opal Shimmerz and then mounted it on top of the first stamped image using a glue dot.  I used my blender pen and Soft Sky ink and outlined the flourishes to add a little color.  It is hard to see in my picture!  I then matted the image on Basic Black cardstock and then used dimensionals to add it to the front of my card.  I added some piercing at the base of the card using THIS pierceabilities die and then added a light blue crystal.

Jacksonbelle New Year's Eve Challenge #2

I'm back!  We are having an awful windstorm today and our cat that I just spent $150 on to fix her infected ear, has been gone for 3 days now....maybe she'll get cold or hungry and come home soon....  My daughter is very upset and my husband is even MORE upset because if she doesn't come back then that $150 was a HUGE waste!!! LOL!!!!  He is so sweet....LOL!!!!  Anyway, here is my card for challenge #2.  The second challenge is to make a card or whatever, using Black and White or Vanilla and then accent with metallic or glitter!  OK so my card isn't really just accenting, the entire front is metal!!! LOL!!! 

The base of my card is Basic Gray with a mat of Whisper White and then Basic Black.  I then added a piece of silver metal, which I got AGES ago, which I ran through my Cuttlebug using my Argyle embossing folder.  Did you EVER think that you would see a ROCK N ROLL card that used an ARGYLE ANYTHING on it????  LOL!!!  I added THESE Imaginisce glitter black brads to the bottom right and top left.  The strip under the image piece is just a  piece of K&Co's black glitter paper.  I added some white Making Memories daisies on top of the glitter paper and then added the same black glitter brads in the centers of the flowers.

The focal image is from THIS Inkadinkado Rockstar set.  I stamped it on Whisper White cardstock using Basic Black ink and then cut it out using my square Nestabilities.  I then matted it with first Basic Black and the Basic Gray.  It was then mounted on the front using dimensionals.

Jacksonbelle New Year's Eve BASH!!!!

What a crazy day it has been!  I am late posting this as I am late in everything I do!!! Here are the details on CHALLENGE #1 ~ SCS KEYWORD ~ JBENYE1

For our first challenge, we are asking you to “RING” in the New Year!!  Keyword here ~ RING!!!! LOL!!!  Use your creativeness (is that a word??) and make a card that has a “ring” to it!!!!  LOL!!!!  Ideas ~ Wedding card (rings ~ get it??), circles, a bell, Kids (ring around the Rosie), diamonds (either the shape OR the bling!!!), etc…

My sample is REALLY LAME but it is cute!!! LOL!!!  The decorative paper has circles (RINGS) on it!!!! LOL!!!  I made this card for Sharon's Ultimate Valentine Challenge.  The idea for 1,000 sick kids to receive Valentine cards this Valentines Day!  My kids have NEVER seen a card I made and actually asked for it.  They give me the "oh Mommy, its so pretty" line but when my son (he's 11) saw this card he asked if he could have it after I posted it on my blog!!! LOL!!!  Of course he wants it, it is the first card in a long time that has a place to go!!! LOL!!!!  Here it is ~

 

The base of my card is Taken with Teal and then Shimmery White cardstock which I sponged both using Creamy Caramel ink.  The top decorative piece is from October Afternoon and can be found HERE!  The next mat is first Tangerine Tango cardstock (sponged as well with Creamy Caramel) and then THIS coordinating paper.  I punched a red piece of Bazzill cardstock using the star border punch by Martha Stewart, added the same green circle paper behind the stars and a strip from THIS paper that has the arrows.  The little green monster and the heart are both October Afternoon dies.  I wrote the sentiment on the heart because I didn't have a stamp that small!  I added 3 small Dew Drops which I colored red using a Copic marker.

Sending some Birthday Wishes.....

First, I must draw your attention to a couple of Blog Candy Alerts!!!  Be sure to visit these amazingly talented ladies ~  Melissa and Jennifer's blogs to see the generous candy they are each giving!!!

This card was stamped just for the FUN of it!!!  No kidding!  I stamped just to stamp!!  I went to our LSS yesterday for about 4 hours.  Last April, my kids school had their annual auction and I donated a custom made, 12x12 scrapbook.  What the HECK was I thinking?!?!? LOL!!!  Actually, I had done it the year before but the gal that won that one still hasn't given me her pics!!!  Anyway, I need to get the scrapbook finished and since my crap room is just that, a CRAP room, I had to go to the LSS which has a big clean table to work on!  Not only do they have a BIG, CLEAN, TABLE, they have lots of STUFF!  I don't get over there very often so it was really fun to check it all out.  I bought some new (OK, new to me) paper by Bo Bunny which is actually considered wedding paper.  Well, I thought it was "whatever theme you want to use it for" paper!!! LOL!!!  The gal I am doing the scrapbook for gave me some pics from her wedding and the bridesmaids dresses were Lavender.  I don't do Lavender very well so when I saw the Bo Bunny paper, I thought, well, I could add a LITTLE Lavender....  Those pages turned out AWESOME!  I loved them!  The Bo Bunny paper is black, winter white and like a kraft color and by adding some Lavender Kaiser rhinestones and a tiny bit of Lavender Bazzill cardstock, the pages turned out great! 

I decided I wanted to use some of the paper today as well as the Lavender rhinestones.  Since my image wouldn't go with the floral pattern I used on the pages, I used a different pattern that was more subtle and would go with my image!  Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Basic Black cardstock.  The top decorative paper is from the new Bo Bunny Unforgettable line.  I added a strip of Basic Black cardstock that I cut and pierced using THIS Spellbinders Pierceabilities.  I added a small mat of Vanilla cardstock just below the the scalloped edge.  The Lavender velvet ribbon is from Making Memories and the Vanilla organdy is from SU!  I added Lavender crystals from Kaiser.  I stamped THIS Inkadinkado Nostalgia stamp on Vanilla cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I then cut it out using THIS Labels 1 Nestabilities die and then ran it through my Cuttlebug using THIS Textile folder.  I had stamped the Nostalgia image a second time on Vanilla cardstock and cut the butterfly out, colored it with my Prismacolor Pencils and then added THIS Iced Lavender Shimmerz before I used a glue dot to adhere it on top of the first stamped butterfly.  I matted this piece with Basic Black cardstock that I also cut using the Labels 1 Nesties.  I added the same Kaiser Lavender crystals on this as well.

SCS ~ Featured Stamper Sunday ~ Stampfilled Dreams.......

Hi!
I hope you all have had a nice weekend!  The weather got up to 70 today!!!  What a gorgeous day!  We tried to spend as much time outside as possible since it is Winter and the cold weather will be back before we know it!!! 

I worked on this card for today's featured stamper, Stampfilled Dreams, off and on all day so that is why I am posting SO late!!!  The card of Barbara's that I chose to CASE is HERE!  Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Chocolate Chip cardstock and then a mat of Pink Pirouette and then finally, on the top a mat of Whisper White cardstock that I ran through my Cuttlebug using my Birds and Swirls folder.

The flower image is by Serendipity Stamps and can be found HERE!  I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink and then colored using Prismacolor pencils on the window frame and Pink Pirouette ink pad & blender pen for the flowers.  I stamped the image again on Whisper White cardstock and then cut out some of the flowers and popped them up on dimensionals.  I added Angel Wings Shimmerz to all of the flowers and then added Kaiser pearls to all of the flower centers.  I also stamped the image on some pink & white polka dot paper I had laying around and cut out the vase and pieced it on top of the first stamped image.  I also punched a small Martha Stewart butterfly from the same polka dot paper and a large butterfly from Chocolate Chip cardstock.  I added the same Kaiser pearl on the butterfly and adhered it on the image piece using a dimensional.

The little side tab is some SEI butterfly paper which I rounded the end with my SU! corner rounder.  I then added some May Arts pink & brown polka dot organdy ribbon and tied what is supposed to be a bow!!! LOL!!!  The little tag was punched using my Martha Stewart punch but first I stamped the sentiment which is from THIS Verve set using Chocolate Chip ink on Whisper White cardstock.  I tied the tag on using Linen Thread.

OUR CREATIVE CORNER ~ CLEARLY, this was a difficult challenge for me!!!!!

Good Morning!
Where have the days gone????  I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  We sure did.  Very relaxing and fun.  The kids were pretty darned excited about all their gifts so of course that made Mommy and Daddy happy!!!

Before I go on about the challenge today and how much my card stinks, I wanted to mention that Lindsey has put all her Christmas products on sale!  You can check it all out HERE!  Also, I was at Target the other day (and the day before that and the day before that....you know the rest!!! LOL!!!) and they have the little mailboxes in their dollar spot area.  This year they have silver, red, white and pink.  I have never seen silver and almost bought a couple but I still have quite a few white ones, I couldn't justify buying more!!!!  I recently used a white mailbox on my project HERE!  For all the details on this weeks challenge, check them out HERE!  Also, we have an awesome guest designer again this week!  Please join me in welcoming Jen Tepler!!!  YIPPEEE!!!

You would think that with all this time off from stamping, I would have come up with some amazing project for today's challenge to use, clear embellishments, acetate, etc....  Actually, I have been stamping and have a few things I am doing for after the first of the year and was getting a jump start on those projects but you will have to wait to see them!! 

The base of this card is Basic Black with a mat of Shimmery White and then Soft Sky textured cardstock.  I used the Labels One Nestabilities from Cut at Home for the Basic Black mat and also to cut the main Stampscapes image that was stamped on Shimmery White cardstock using Basic Black ink.  I pierced along the bottom of the image and around the sides and top of the black mat.  I added Soft Sky double stitched ribbon and a pewter build a brad for the center (that is where my clear bubble is!!!).  The clouds are stickers and I also added Angel Wings Shimmerz to the water.  I colored using Prismacolor Pencils.

Featured Stamper Sunday ~ FS98 ~ Paula......

Hi Ya!
I was able to do a little stamping today!!!!  My card today is for SCS' featured stamper ~ Paula.  The card of Paula's that I chose to CASE is HERE!  You will definitely be able to see what I changed when you see my card here ~

The base of my card is Shimmery cardstock.  My first mat is a cocoa color of cardstock by Bazzill then Chocolate Chip and then THIS awesome decorative paper from Webster's Pages.  The strip across the center is Vellum cardstock.  I didn't want to cover up the decorative paper because it is SO beautiful.  I used my Janome sew mini to stitch around the edges using brown thread.  I used THIS Spellbinders Pierceabilities die for the butterfly along the bottom.  To get the brown butterfly in the center, I layed the die on top of Chocolate cardstock, pierced around the butterfly and then cut it out.  I added some lavender crystals to the center of the butterfly, bent the wings up a little and used a glue dot to adhere it.

The brown felt ribbon is from SU! as is the Eggplant grosgrain.  The sentiment is from THIS Verve set called Beautiful You WHICH I might add is on sale!!! LOL!!!  I stamped it using Chocolate Chip ink on Vellum cardstock, cut it out using my oval Nesties, matted it with the same Websters Pages decorative paper that was cut the same size using the Nesties again and then matted them both on top of a Chocolate Chip oval.  The ribbons are under the oval pieces and then under the ribbons I cut another oval but scalloped this time using Perfect Plum cardstock.  I added some of the lavender crystals to the top right and on the oval sentiment.

Jacksonbelle Embellishments Design Team Announcement!

Hello again!
First I can't post for DAYS and now you get 2 posts in one day!!! LOL!!!  Today's the day that we are announcing our NEW Jacksonbelle Embellishments Design Team!!!!  Oh my gosh, we received SO many AWESOME applicants and wish we could have invited everyone!  Before I tell you, I want to show you my card which I should have posted Tuesday but didn't finish it until Friday!!!   I hate to rush in to anything!!!

The base of my card is Old Olive with a mat of first Poison Ivory and then Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The top decorative paper as well as the Chocolate polka dot paper are both from October Afternoon!  Oh my gosh, their new papers are AWESOME!!!  The decorative paper can be found HERE!  The flower pattern is on one side and the back is the Chocolate polka dot.  The polka dot paper is matted with Poison Ivory cardstock.  The strip of Baja Breeze cardstock which runs top to bottom was run through my Cuddlebug using my Birds & Swirls embossing folder.  I did not mat that piece.  The ribbon is first Old Olive grosgrain and then THIS REALLY cute May Arts fuzzy ribbon!!!!

The Inka Duet image (Lindsey does not have this in stock but if you are interested in one, you can email her at [email protected]) was stamped on Poison Ivory cardstock using Chocolate Chip ink.  I colored using Baja Breeze, Old Olive and Soft Sky ink pads and a blender pen.  The little Prima flowers were actually a light pink because that was all I had so I painted them with Sunflower Shimmerz and turned them yellow and SHINY!!!!  I also painted some Shimmerz in the centers of the flowers on the decorative paper.  I added a couple of blue crystals to the centers of the flowers and then was DONE!  Makes you wonder why it took me so dang long to finish it!!! LOL!!! 

OK, you probably don't even care about my card, you just want to know who the heck is on the design team!!!  Alright, I'll quit yapping now!  We are SO excited and honored to have these girls join our team!

OUR CREATIVE CORNER ~ Lovey Dovey!!!!!

Happy Saturday!!!
Long time, no post!!  I swear, I have been so busy.  I haven't had time to stamp, Christmas shop, bake, NOTHING!!!!  I am going to try to finish up my shopping today as well as mail my final packages out to California and New Jersey.  That will be a HUGE relief!  I was able to finish my OCC card which when you see it, you will know that it didn't take me too long to make!!! LOL!!!  

The challenge today was to make a Lovey Dovey card!!! LOL!!!  Basically any card that shows the LOVE!!!!!  You can see all the details HERE!!  You will definitely want to play along with us this week because Julee is giving a VERVALICIOUS prize!!!  We also have an AMAZING guest this week ~ Jackie Pedro.  Jackie is SO very talented so be sure to stop by her blog, you will be so glad you did! 

I don't have a lot of Valentine stamps so I was having trouble figuring out what to use.  Instead of a stamp, I used a piece of my NEW Cosmo Cricket Chemistry paper (this is currently out of stock but Lindsey has ordered more.  You can email her at [email protected] to get on a wait list).  Here is my card ~

The base of this card is Blush Blossom (I didn't realize I actually OWNED this color of cardstock!!! LOL!!!).  The next mat is Basic Black and then the Cosmo Cricket decorative paper.  The paper was 12x12 and had the birds and swirls on it.  I cut the paper so just the birds were left and then used THIS Spellbinders Piercabilities to cut the bottom of the decorative paper and then pierce the heart & swirls.  Oh my gosh these are so cool!  If you haven't seen the Piercabilities, HERE is a card I did last week using the other one that is included in the same package as this heart one!  I added some clear Martha Stewart rhinestones and then traced the heart from the Piercabilities die on Basic Black cardstock and then cut it out.  I then mounted it in the center of the pierced heart using dimensionals.  The ribbon is some miscellaneous ribbon I had in my PILE!!! LOL!!!
