Good Morning!
Hope you all have fun plans for this Super Bowl weekend!!! Since we are Redskins fans and they OBVIOUSLY did not make it to the Super Bowl, we are still excited to watch the game!! Yes, I MIGHT even have a couple of those Michelob Ultra's again!!! LOL!!!
This week at the OCC, Jennifer has challenged us to make a card using 2 or more hearts. I had my HEART (get it, LOL!!!) set on using my most favorite heart set ever, Hearts on Fire. Before I show you my card, I want to mention that this weeks challenge is our fellow OCC girl, Denise's, last challenge with us....Denise is going to devote more time to her DT committments so she decided to step down. We will miss you Denise although I am sure we'll be "seeing" you around!!! LOL!!!
So I don't have to repeat myself this entire post and BORE you to death, all pieces used were sponged first using Creamy Caramel ink and then Chocolate Chip ink! The base of my card is Vanilla CS with a mat of Pink Pirouette and then dark brown Prism CS. For the focal piece I used my 2 favorite Verve sets ~ Grateful Elegance and Hearts on Fire. I'll start from the bottom up ~ the scalloped square is from my Nesties and was cut using Vanilla CS. The next layer up is first Dark Brown Prism and then Pink Pirouette CS which I heat embossed the scrolled background from Grateful Elegance using Vanilla EP and then cut it & embossed it using my square Nesties. The larger heart was stamped on Pink Pirouette CS using Chocolate Chip ink and the smaller heart was stamped on Vanilla CS using Chocolate Chip ink. I cut these out and mounted them on dimensionals next to the Dark Brown Prism flourishes that were cut from my Spellbinders Doodle Parts dies. I stamped the sentiment from Hearts on Fire on Vanilla CS, punched it out using my small oval punch and then added THESE tiny little rhinestones called Twinkles.
If you would like to play along, you can link your creation on the OCC blog using Mr. Linky!!! It is so easy to use! If you upload to SCS, please using the keyword OCCC.
Need a little inspiration, be sure to check out the OCC girls samples ~ Dawn, Denise, Cindy, Kim, Jennifer, Julee, Amy, Laurie, Silke, and Jackie!
Thanks for stopping by!
