Hi!!!
We are getting snow here today so school was cancelled!!!! I am so glad we have gotten some snow this year. Last year we didn't get any, just slush so we were pretty excited that it actually has stuck and accumulated a little!!! This is the reason I am late today with my Jbelle challenge card! I have already taken the kids out sledding and now we have come in for lunch so here I am posting my card!
I was outside taking some pictures and then Mr. NOSEY (AKA ~ Dakota), had to come over and see what I was doing (probably was wondering if I had snacks as well).
Dakota is so sweet. His entire back was covered earlier. When it is really cold, he gets icicles hanging off of him! LOL!!! The chickens have not left the barn. They don't like the snow much!!! LOL!!!
Sorry...got off track! Here is my card for today's JBE stitching challenge (faux or real)~
The layout of this card is based on Julee's Mojo Monday sketch #71. The base of my card is Baja Breeze and is 5 1/4" square. The next mat is Basic Black, then Whisper White and THEN the DARLING Imaginisce DP from their Twitterpated collection!!! OMG is it cute!!! Both patterns are from the collection. I did a zig zag stitch around the entire card and OF COURSE it is straight, my gosh did you really think it wasn't???? LOL!!!!!! I sewed the Pretty in Pink focal image mat right on to the DP and YES, it is straight as well (notice I did not do a close up!?!?!?!? LOL!!!!). The Baja Breeze ribbon is run over the pink mat and then taped to the back. The silver buckle is from THIS We R Memory Keepers Collection. I added a little knot of THIS May Arts White Polka dot ribbon inside the buckle.
The focal image is from Whipper Snapper and was stamped on Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink. I colored using my Prismacolor Pencils and added Orange Peel Stickles to the centers of the flowers. This was then matted with Basic Black card stock and I used dimensionals to mount it on top of the card. The sentiment, from Verve's Birthday Surprise, was stamped on Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink. I matted this with Basic Black and then Baja Breeze card stock. I cut out a mushroom from the DP and used a dimensional to adhere it on the sentiment piece.
If you would like to play along with us and upload to SCS, use the keyword JBE037 so we can all see your creation! Be sure to check out the beautiful creations my teammates have made using this challenge~

AWESOME card Lynda and Dakota is a handsome fella. Do you ever put one of those blankets on his back? You do have a lovely blanket of snow!
We are getting freezing rain and freezing temps until about noon on Weds.
