OUR CREATIVE CORNER ~ A Sketch Challenge!!!!!

Good Saturday Morning!
I hope you have a fun day planned! We are going to have breakfast at my BIL's house! That should be fun! If you didn't see the announcement on the OCC blog, we have added 3 new design team members! Today's challenge is a sketch challenge! Here is my card ~

The base of my card is Kraft cardstock and then a mat of Basic Black. I left the top edge exposed and then added the blue from the Eva Basic Grey Collection. The ribbon is first ruffled vanilla May Arts ribbon and then black May Arts Twill ribbon. I added a knot to the side of vanilla Tafetta and then linen thread.

I stamped the decorative border on the bottom using my FAVORITE Verve set, Grateful Elegance. I used Basic Black ink and then cut it out. The vanilla paper along the bottom is also from the Eva Collection. The top piercing is from THIS Spellbinders Pierceabilitie die. I then added a square pewter brad from THIS We R Memory Keepers kit.

The sentiment on the focal piece is from Inkadinkado and was stamped on Kraft cardstock which I first stamped using myVersamark and the square scrolled piece from the Verve Grateful Elegance set. I matted this piece with Basic Black cardstock.

The small freak butterfly is from Starving Artistamps and was stamped first on the focal piece using Basic Black ink and then again on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, colored with my Prismacolor Pencils, added Sky Blue Shimmerz, cut it out and glued the wings on top of the first stamped image. On the other side, I added THESE Doodle Parts from Spellbinders (using Basic Black cardstock), a flower from Prima and then a pewter decorative flower brad I have had for a long time. This piece was then mounted on the card using dimensionals.

I so NEEEEED that blue Eva paper!! It's beautiful. So are the butterfly and the big flower with the paper curly thingies (as Laurie called them on her blog today, LOL!) behind it. LOVE your card, Lynda!!
