Hello!
Before I show you my OCC card for this week, I wanted to mention a couple of things you might be interested in knowing!!! First off, Lindsey just received the 2 new Basic Grey lines AND LOTS of new Inkadinkado Stamps!!! You can check it all out HERE! Next up, Julee has put ALL of her Verve sets on sale! She is making room for new stamps! You can check that out HERE!
Now, on to the OCC challenge this week! Laurie has challenged us to make a card that has a tag on it! Pretty easy huh??? Well, for most people this would be easy but for me...not so much. I have struggled all week with stamping, have no idea why but the mojo, is just not there!!! I know what the problem is, I haven't bought anything new lately!!! I am having RTW (Retail Therapy Withdrawl). I just need to go shopping! I did order from Lindsey the other day but haven't received my stuff yet so really, until you have the actual NEW STUFF in your hands, RTW still will play havoc on your Mojo! Whew....glad that that's it, I'm just going to go shopping then!!! LOL!!! We have a new Joann's that recently opened AND I have a coupon!!!! I feel more creative already!
We also have a fantastic guest again with us this week!!! Please join us in welcoming Rose Ann Reynolds! Rose Ann is very talented and created a gorgeous sample sample for us today too! Be sure to check out her blog HERE!
I know, I have another card that I made that looks A LOT like this one but like I said, I was struggling!!! LOL!!! The base of my card is Going Gray with a mat of Basic Black and then on the bottom Whisper White that was punched with one of my MS border punches. I then added some clear MS rhinestones below the flowers. The upper portion of the card is ~ from the bottom up ~ Basic Black, Going Gray, Whisper White and then a decorative piece of paper from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie line. The BEAUTIFUL mustang is my all time favorite and is by Serendipity stamps and can be found HERE. I stamped the mustang on Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink and then colored using my Prismacolor pencils. I did add some clear sparkle using my Copic Spica glitter pen to the mane. I matted the image with Basic Black and then Basic Gray card stock. The ribbon is from Michaels. I stamped the sentiment, which is from Verve's Artful Elegance set, on the decorative paper using Basic Black ink and then punched it using my MS tag punch. I tied the tag on a small piece of the decorative ribbon using white scrapper's floss and then added a small SU! flower and small SU! round pink rhinestone brad in the center.
Need a little inspiration, be sure to check out the OCC girls samples ~ Dawn, Cindy, Kim, Jennifer, Julee, Amy, Laurie, Lori, Silke, and Jackie! You can see ALL the samples HERE on the OCC blog! If you would like to play along, you can link your card VERY easily right on the post for this challenge on the OCC blog or when you upload to SCS, include keyword OCCC.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and thank you for stopping by!
~Lynda

Oh. My. Word! The horse's head is sensational. I love the way he stands out without competing with too many embellishments. You always know when to stop and maybe that's why I find you crds just perfect.
