I told you I'd be back again!!! The kids are home again today due to the snow. We ran out to get some groceries this morning since I hadn't gone for almost 2 weeks!! It is definitely more expensive when I take them with me!! LOL!!
I want to share with you a card I made Sunday for the featured stamper challenge. The featured stamper was Kelly H and THIS is the card I decided to CASE! Here is my card ~
The base of my card is Basic Black with a layer of Whisper White and then a Cocoa Brown from Bazzill. I added the same Cocoa Brown Bazzill card stock to the bottom, under the focal image and on top of the Basic Black edge which I cut both using THIS Pierceabilities die. I added a strip of white under the black flap and cut it using the same die. For the image piece, I used a brand new Inkadinkado stamp set called Delicate Branches. Lindsey sold out of this set already but if you would like her to special order it, you can EMAIL her! The first thing I did was cut a Whisper White rectangle square using my Nesties. I also embossed the edges. Before removing the die, I stamped the branches using Basic Black ink and then sponged the edges using Creamy Caramel ink. I then stamped the bird using Real Red ink and then added Buttercream Shimmerz to his body and the leaves on the branches. I then matted the image on Basic Black card stock.
The final step was to add the sentiment, which is from THIS Verve stamp set and was stamped on card stock vellum using Basic Black ink and then punched using my small oval punch. I then glued the sentiment inside the silver label holder and added the wide black organdy ribbon and natural hemp twine. Here is a closer look at the Shimmerz ~
I hope you are all having a great day! It is so cold here today, again! It looks like tomorrow could warm up to 35 ~ wooohoooo!!! LOL!!! OK, I now have to beat my kids at Yahtzee ~ thanks for stopping by!!!

I read your instructions, then calculated the cost, the amount of time that card took you, and stared at it in wonder. You have such a knack for knowing when to keep going, and more importantly, when to stop. Do you prethink your cards or fly by the seat of your pants?? My cards will never have the quality of your cards.
