Good Morning!
We are definitely getting paid back for the BEAUTIFUL weekend we had LAST weekend since this weekend, all we have had is rain! That's OK though because I have a lot of cleaning and organizing to do ~ I know, what a shock!! LOL!!! I started cleaning my crap room yesterday, AGAIN, and will finish today! I did take some time to do a card for today's featured stamper, Twinshappy. I found a couple of cards I would like to CASE but for now, chose THIS one. Here is my card ~
Believe me, I wanted to use the pink and black Stacy used but after looking through my gallery, I see that I use those colors a lot so I decided to try different colors for a change. Were you wondering what stamps I used??? OMG, I received my Verve order yesterday afternoon (THANK YOU Julee for your SUPER fast shipping!!!) and could hardly wait to start using them!!! I LOVE all of them and can't wait to show you the others I bought!!!
So, for this card, I used a base of Barely Banana (YES, I said Barely Banana ~ I think that is the name of it!!! LOL!!!) and then instead of Black, I used Basic Gray!!! I know, I have really gone outside my comfort zone here!!! The next layer on top of the Basic Gray is again Barely Banana which I punched the side using my SU! scallop punch. I then stamped the bottom flower, which is from Everlasting Life, using Basic Gray ink directly on the Whisper White card stock. I then used the "out of the box" technique to cut along the edge leaving the bottom leaves to stick out. The smaller flowers are from the Miracles Blossom set and were stamped on a seperate piece of white card stock using Basic Gray ink, colored and then cut out. I did stamp the larger flower again on white card stock, colored it and cut it out so I could pop it up on top of the first stamped image. I colored the flowers and stems using my Prismacolor pencils. I also added some Butter Cream Shimmerz on the flowers even though I told myself I wouldn't do it but I couldn't stand it!!! LOL!!! After I adhered the flowers, I added the ribbon from Michael's, stamped the sentiment from the Everlasting Life set using Basic Gray ink and then pierced the stems on the top 2 flowers and the left corner using THIS Ornare piercing template. I then added a yellow rhinestone to the top left and was done! This was a super easy card and I really like the way it turned out.
I hope you all are having a fantastic weekend and thank you so much for stopping by!

There is something so sweet about this card, Lynda. It's very moving. You sure know how to capture a mood with your artwork.
