Another Tuesday, another Jbelle challenge, another week I am LATE!!!! I swear, the days go by so quickly, I can't seem to find enough time to get everything done that I need to!!! I'm sure there are a COUPLE people that have the same problem!!! LOL!!! Anyway, our challenge this week is to make a Spring card and add rub ons for bonus points!!! LOL!!! My card isn't REALLY Springy but picture this ~ you are driving through the country with your windows down, enjoying the clean, fresh Spring air and then you hit a cow!!!! LMBO!!!! I crack myself up!!! Really, what I was getting at is that Spring is a perfect time to go WINE TASTING!!! For me, drinking a beer, right out of the bottle while mowing the lawn is about as far as I get to go drinking somewhere BUT, it works for me!!! I get my lawn mowed and have a good time while doing it!!! LOL!!! Our lawn is pretty big so it is definitely NOT a 1 beer event....oh, I got off track...we were talking about wine tasting!!! Once you see my card, you will realize that I don't drink wine because the wine in the wine glass looks more like beer!!! I used the wrong color pencil....oh well, you'll get the idea!!!
The layout is based LOOSELY on this weeks sketch challenge at CPS. The base is Eggplant Envy with a mat of green Laura Ashley paper that I have had for AGES!!!! I cut the bottom of the green using THIS Pierceabilities die and also cut a small piece of Basic Black using the same die so I could layer them. The lavender rhinestones are from Kaiser. The next layers are first Basic Black, the same Laura Ashley green and then the decorative vellum which is also by Laura Ashley. I rounded the top right corner but left the black to stick out. The 2 strips down the left side are just narrow strips of Basic Black card stock and then the bottom tab is first the decorative green and then a strip of Basic Black. I rounded the end using my corner rounder and then added a knot of narrow black organdy.
The image is by Inkadinkado and is currently out of stock but if you would like Lindsey to order it for you, just email her at jacksonbelle@hotmail.com! I stamped it on Shimmery White card stock using Basic Black ink. I stamped it again on the same CS, cut out portions of the grapes & the leaf and colored using my Prismacolor Pencils. Before I mounted the popped up images, I added the corner rub on by Daisy D's. The collection I got it from is called PhotoAccents and can be found HERE! Lindsey has a bunch of Daisy D stuff and it is all marked down REALLY low. You can check it out HERE! After I added the rub on, I mounted the 3-d grapes and leaf using dimensionals. I then added some Gold Shimmerz to the Beer, oh I mean Wine, in the glass. I also added a little rub on to the top right and a lavender rhinestone as well. Here is a closer look at the grapes and leaf ~
Want to play along? If so, please add JBE044 to the keyword section when uploading to SCS. Be sure to check out the girls creations on their blogs below!
Before I go, I want to let you know that Lindsey JUST received brand new Pink Paislee stuff!!! You can see it all HERE!
Hope you have a great day and remember to watch for cows in the road when you go wine tasting!!! LOL!!!

hey, loose interpretations of the sketch is what it's all about! :) I'm a beer gal myself - wish I had a riding lawnmower because it would be a lot easier that way. That being said, great card!!
Thanks so much for playing along with the CPS sketch this week. I am so thrilled to be the sponsor and hope you can check out my own take on the sketches – http://allamericanstampers.blogspot.com.

Gorgeous! Being that I live in Wine Country (literally, I live in Sicily), I absolutely love this.
