Good Morning!
Today is Tuesday and that means another Jacksonbelle DT challenge! This weeks challenge is to CASE our fellow team mate ~ Kisa!!! While the team was pouring over Kisa's gallery trying to figure out which beautiful card to CASE, Kisa was working on a FANTASTIC Easter Basket tutorial!!! You will definitely want to check it out HERE!!! Before I show you my card, I also wanted to mention that Lindsey just got in stock BRAND NEW Shimmerz AND she has them on SALE!!!! You can see them all HERE!!!!
The colors for this card are based on today's color challenge at SCS which is Summer Sun, Kraft and Real Red. The layout is from THIS card of Kisa's which I chose to CASE! The base of the card is Basic Black. The next layer is Kraft with a rectangle strip down the side of Real Red and then a decorative piece of red paper from SU!'s Ski Slope Collection. The sentiment is from Verve's NEW Circular Sayings set and was stamped on Whisper White using Basic Black ink and then punched out using my small oval punch. I added the pierced swirl using THIS Pierceabilities die. I added a little knot of THIS May Arts polka dot ribbon to the side.
The Butterfly is by Inkadinkado (this stamp is currently out of stock so if you would like to reserve yours, email Lindsey at jacksonbelle@hotmail.com) and was stamped on Kraft card stock using Basic Black ink. I stamped it again on Whisper White card stock, cut it out and colored using a combination of Prismacolor Pencils and Summer Sun ink pad and blender pen. I added Angel Wings Shimmerz to the colored parts and Coal Shimmerz to the black areas. Here is a closer look at the shine ~
I cut the image out using my circle Nesties and added tiny red rhinestones on the flourish. This circle was then mounted on a square of Basic Black card stock which I ran through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dots embossing folder. I then matted the black on Whisper White which has a decorative border cut using my MS Lattice border punch. Behind the decorative border I added a strip of Summer Sun card stock and then adhered this entire piece on the card using dimensionals.
Be sure to check out the girls creations on their blogs below!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
