Verve Sneak Peek Day 1 ~ Friends Forever AND Ever.....

Happy Wednesday!
Today is the first day of Verve's Sneak Peek's!!!  Hold on to your wallets, you are going to LOVE Julee's new stamps!  The stamps I used today are included in the set, Kindred Spirits.   I don't want to forget to mention that you can see more sneak peeks HERE!  There will be sneak peeks on Thursday and Friday and THEN the release party Friday night at 9pm EST!  You can join in on all the fun Friday night, HERE, in the SCS forum.

Here is my card ~

The base of this card is Kiwi Kiss with a mat of Basic Black.  On top of the black mat I added a Whisper White mat and then added 3 strips of different patterns of DP from SU!'s Rockabilly Specialty paper which I matted each strip with Basic Black CS.  I left the bottom open white and stamped the Fleur de Lis border with Kiwi Kiss ink and then just above the Fleur de Lis, I added the black dot border.  The black dot border stamp is also included in the set!

I stamped the oval Fleur de Lis 2 times on Whisper White card stock.  One time using Basic Black ink and the second time using Kiwi kiss ink.  I cut the entire Black Fleur de Lis oval out and set it aside.  I punched just the oval out, using my large SU! oval punch, of the Kiwi Kiss fleur de Lis and then stamped the sentiment in the center using Basic Black ink.  This piece was then mounted on top of the Black Fleur de Lis oval using dimensionals.  Before I adhered this piece to the center of my card, I added 3 strips of black narrow grosgrain ribbon and then added a Kiwi heart button on the oval using a glue dot.

Lynda, this is absolutely beautiful! I love the cut out around the center oval and the ribbons. I haven't been able to figure out a way to use that Rockability paper at the bottom of your card so thank you for the idea on that!
