I am SO excited to share with you this baby gift that I made for a friend of my husbands. Before I show it to you, I have to say that THIS WAS NOT my idea. I saw this idea on Lauren's blog a long time ago and have always wanted to make one!!! The card layouts are based on Julee's Mojo Monday sketch HERE.
Yes, the onesies are supposed to be rolled up to look like flowers but I'm not so sure I did a good job of rolling!!! LOL!!! The tin I got from Micheal's and the ribbon is from Sharon's ribbon store. I added some flowers, misc. leaves, a Prima butterfly, box of cards and filler. This really does look so much cuter in real life but you get the idea!!! I had 5 onesies but ended up with just 4!! Everyone needs a PRACTICE onesie right?!?!? LOLOLOL!!!
Here is a look from the top ~
I didn't decorate the clear box with the cards & envelopes in it because any color I used would have looked bad so I decided to just leave it. The one card I made went perfectly with the yellow flowers. The other cards didn't blend so well so I put those in the back of the box under the envelopes!!! LOL!!! Before I show you my cards and the onesies, here are a few close up pictures of the arrangement ~
I absolutely LOVE how the onesies turned out! I looked on line to see if baby clothes were sold with buttons on the shirts or onesies and did find some so I thought it would be ok to add the buttons. I sewed them on really tight!!! The stamp set I used to stamp these as well as the cards, is from Papertrey Ink and is called Baby Button Bits.
The pea was stamped using Olive Green Stazon and the sentiment was stamped using Black Stazon. Here is a closer look at the image & sentiment ~
I made 2 onesies using this image and then I made 2 using the teddy bear image. On the bear, one had an Orange Zest PTI button and the other a Spring Rain PTI button. Here is a picture of one of the bear onesies ~
I colored the bear using my Copic markers. You have to be really careful and not color all the way up to the edges because it will bleed. Don't ask me how I KNOW this!!! LOLOLOL!!!!
I included 5 cards, 3 of which are these ~
The other 2 cards are these ~
I would have loved to have made more but I ran out of time. This bee image is also included in the Baby Button Bits set.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed this little gift! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
I'll be back tomorrow with a house warming gift I made for my Sister in Law.

these cards are adorable. I don't know anyone having a baby, but I guess they could be used for other cards. Really cute

What a wonderful presentation idea. I have given stamped onsies before but used bold images with paints and fabric medium. This is so cute. I'll have to try.
