Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Happy Easter!!!!

Hello!

Happy Saturday!  Have any big weekend plans?  I don't really except I need to make some Verve samples for the new release on Friday!!!  Can I just say.....they are BEAUTIFUL!!!  I can't wait to get stamping with them! LOL!!

Today's C4C challenge is to use 3 textures on our card/project.  I HOPE I did it right!!!  Also, don't forget that Totally Stampalicious is our sponsor again this week!  You can check out all of Joycelyn's AWESOME stamps HERE!

The base of this card is Dark Chocolate (PTI) with a mat of pink which is included in Cosmo Cricket's Honey Pie collection.  In fact, all of the DP on this card is from that collection, I LOVE it!  The next layer is a sage green mat and then a beautiful floral piece, both from the Honey Pie collection.   I stamped the darling Pure Innocence image called My basket of eggs, on Select White CS using Black Momento ink and then colored using my Prismacolor Pencils and Copics.  I paper pieced her little dress, added little rhinestones on her shoes and cut her out.  Behind the little girl I have Sage Green grass that I punched using my Martha Stewart grass punch then tulips that are included as a strip in the Honey Pie collection and finally a white picket fence that is also a MS punch.  The pink mat again is from the collection and I embossed using my SU! embossing folder, added some Zva rhinestones and matted on Select White CS.  The darling little girl was adhered using dimensionals.

You are probably wondering where my 3 textured pieces are?!?!?  They are there, I promise!!! LOL!!!  One is the linen thread.  Another is my embossed background and THEN I counted my rhinestones!!!  They DO add texture...right?!?!?  Now you try!  Upload your creation to SCS including keyword C4C26 or you can add it to Mr. Linky HERE on the C4C blog.

Easter Blessings....

Happy Friday!!

I have a NEW fun challenge to share with you today!  Verve is sponsoring an awesome challenge over at Embellish Magazine's blog!   Here is my card ~

The base of this card is Select White.  I cut the rectangle window using my rectangle Nesties and then made a frame using the rectangle Nesties and scalloped rectangle Nesties and papers from THIS Making Memories Flutter collection.  The lower strip is from the same Flutter collection.  I punched the top of the border using my EK Success border punch.  I think this Flutter paper was MADE to coordinate with PTI's CS.  The colors match perfectly!

The beautiful cross and sentiment are both included in Verve's Everlasting Life set.  I stamped both the image and sentiment using Cocoa Momento ink, paper pieced the inside of the cross, added THESE Memory Box pink rhinestones and then matted this on Lemon Tart CS.  I don't know why I can't get good pictures when I use white CS.  I swear the white CS is not dingy in real life, just MY pictures! LOL!!

To Mother with Love......

Hello!

Hope you are having a great day!  My kids are off this week for Winter break.  Really??? Like they haven't had enough time off due to the snow!?!?! LOLOL!!!

My card today is for a Serendipity Stamps challenge which was for the DT to use their BEAUTIFUL Floral Monogram stamps HERE and HERE.

The base of this card is Kraft and measures 9" x 4".  The next layer up is Select White and then some lavender DP by Laura Ashley which I punched using my Martha Stewart doily border punch.  I then added a strip in the center of first dark purple Bazzill, Kraft, Select White which was punched using my EK Success tiny scallop border punch and then another piece of the same Laura Ashley DP.  To tone the lavender down a little, I add a piece of white tulle across the entire piece.  You probably can't see it in this picture but you will on my close up below.  On top of the tulle I added a strip of white May Arts ribbon. 

For the monograms.....I stamped the monograms on Kraft CS using PTI's Fresh Snow pigment ink.  These were then cut out and embossed using my square Nesties.  I colored the letters using my Copics.  I added some Zva pearls and then matted them using first Select White and then dark purple Bazzill.

For the flower flourish, I layered 2 Select White flourishes cut using one of my Doodle Parts dies, Mellow Moss branches which were punched from my Martha Stewart punch, some white tulle, a heart charm that was tied on using white scrappers floss and then some white Zva paper flowers that I colored using the same purple Copic markers.

Jacksonbelle Tuesday ~ Spring flowers....

Good Morning!

I can't believe how quickly the weeks fly by.  It's Tuesday so it's time for another Jbelle challenge!  Today's challenge is to use flowers.  The flowers can be loose flowers, flower papers, flower image, etc...  If you decide to play along, please upload your card to SCS using the keyword JBE094.  Before I show you my card, I want to let you know that Lindsey just got 5 new My Favorite Things stamp sets!!!  Oh my gosh, they ROCK!  You can check them out HERE!

Here's my card ~

The base of this card is Select White and is a 5" square.  The next mat is Raspberry Fizz and then the decorative butterfly paper is included in THIS darling Making Memories pack called Flutter.  Both the horizontal and vertical strips are also patterns included in this collection.  I did add Select White CS that I punched using my SU! border punch, to the green strip.  Under the image, I added white ruffled May Arts ribbon and then a piece of Aqua Mist ribbon (PTI). 

I stamped the darling Pure Innocence image (Lindsey has reordered and should receive a new shipment shortly) on Select White using Black Momento ink.  I coloed using my Copics and paper pieced her dress.  The butterfly was cut out from the paper and glued down.  I added a Zva rhinestone to the butterfly as well as random flowers on the butterfly paper.  The little white plastic flower is from THESE plastic flowers that coordinate with the papers, glue down using a glue dot and a Zva rhinestone in the center.  I matted the image with first Dark Chocolate and then Rasberry Fizz.  The sentiment was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.

Mojo Monday ~ Thanks a Bunch.....

Hello!

I haven't been able to play along with the Mojo Monday sketch ON MONDAY for a really long time!  Today's sketch is awesome, as usual!  I chose the circle version ~

 

The inside flap of the card is a circle of Select White CS.  The scallop is Pure Poppy (PTI) and the lower "grass" is Celery (SU!).  I just found the Martha Stewart grass punch at Micheal's last week and was so excited!  It is really cool!!!  The brown gingham ribbon is also at Micheal's.  The thanks sentiment is from Verve's Circular Sayings set and was stamped on Select White using Chocolate Chip ink and then punched using my Martha Stewart tag punch.  I tied it on the gingham knot using natural hemp.  I added the same Zva rhinestones that I added on the top left on the sentiment as well.  The beautiful tulips are from Verve's set called Floral Symphony and were stamped on Select White using Cocoa Momento ink and then colored using my Copics.  I stamped the tulips a second time, colored them and mounted them on top of the first stamped image using dimensionals.  The stem was stamped using Celery ink and colored using a green Copic Spica glitter pen.  I then cut the image out using my square Nesties and matted it on Dark Chocolate (PTI).  The blue background paper is some old scrap I had laying around that actually has texture like clouds.

Happ"BEE" Birthday....

Happy Sunday!

I had such a good time scrapbooking yesterday!  I actually did quite well...for me!!!  I ONLY had 12 hours but I ended up getting 5 pages done!!!  Woohoo!  At this rate I will have grandchildren or be dead before I finish my kids books!! LOLOL!!!  I LOVE scrapbooking and hope to do it more often.  My kids do look at their books and really do enjoy the memories.

Anyway, I got off track there!!  I made this card totally geared around the cute bee decorative paper by 3 Bugs in a Rug.

 

The base of this card is Select White with a mat of True Black.  The yellow floral paper on the top is the back of the bee paper.  The darling bee from Baby Button Bits was stamped on Select White using Basic Black ink.  I stamped the bees wings again on Select White, cut them out, added Stardust Stickles and then mounted them on top of the first stamped wings.  I then added a black Basic Grey button and a Lemon Tart button.  The little flowers are from a cheap $1 punch I have had for quite some time and then I added some yellow rhinestones.  The happy birthday sentiment is from PTI's Vintage Picnic set.  I arched the sentiment on my acrylic block and stamped it on the bee's trail.  I punched the bottom of the Select White piece using my Fiskars Apron punch and then added some little dashes using a black marker.  The final step was to add the black gingham ribbon.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ A Sketch!!!!

Good Morning!!!

I am so excited!  I took my dog out yesterday for a little walk and I saw a BUG!!!  Oh my gosh, you have no idea how excited I was to see a bug!!!!  No, it wasn't dead from freezing to death, it was out getting some fresh air because it was 44 and sunny!!!!  WOW, Spring might be closer than I think!!!  Bring on the BUGS!!! LOLOLOL!!!! 

Today's C4C challenge is a sketch!  Not only do we have a sketch for you today but our own crazy girl, Joycelyn and her stamp company, Totally Stampalicious, is sponsoring us for the next 2 weeks!  For my card today I used some stamps from her Old Brawd set ~

The base of this card is Regal Rose and is 5" square.  The next mat is Select White and then Basic Black.  The decorative paper to the left is by Bo Bunny.  The strip just below the image is a striped piece of black by SU!  I punched this piece using my Fiskars Apron punch and added a strip of Select White on the top.  I printed the image on Select White CS and then colored using my Copics.  I added white Liquid Pearls on her necklace, silver Stickles on her shoe buckles, orange Stickles for the cupcake flame and then I did added clear Martha Stewart glitter on her hat flower and cupcake frosting.  I then added some Regal Rose and Basic Black grosgrain ribbon and some SU! brads.

Thinking of You....

Happy Thursday!

YAY!!!  The snow is finally starting melt and I see what I think is my grass and concrete!!!  Looks like we will be having some nice WARM days coming up of 40-45!!!  WOW, I better get my short sleeves ready!!! LOLOLOL!!!

My card today is for a friend who has had a rough time lately.  I want to let her know I am thinking about her ~

The base of this card is Lemon Tart with a mat of Dark Chocolate and then Select White, all from PTI.  I embossed the lower quarter of the Select White using my SU! bouquet embossing folder.  The DP mat is first a floral piece by Jenni Bowlin and then Dark Chocolate CS.  The darling image is by My Favorite Things, their Pure Innocence line and was stamped on Select White using Cocoa Momento ink.  I colored using my Copics and added some Zva rhinestones.  The image was then matted using Dark Chocolate CS.  The ribbon Dark Chocolate polka dot and is from PTI.

Serendipity Stamps DT ~ Spring Challenge.....

Hello!

Each month the Serendipity Stamps DT has a challenge.  This months theme is Spring and we also have a sketch!  Here is the sketch in case you would like to play along!

I made 3 cards using some of the BRAND NEW Serendipity Stamps.  Two of them use the sketch and 1 does not.  Can you see which ones do and which one doesn't??? LOLOL!!!

The base of this card is Dark Chocolate (PTI) with a mat of Spring Rain (PTI) and then Select White (PTI).  The lower decorative paper is some old Chatterbox paper and then the awning and below are also old Chatterbox paper.  The darling "Table for Two" was stamped on Select White using Black Momento ink.  I colored using my Copics.  The image was then matted on Dark Chocolate CS and then I added some Spring Rain grosgrain ribbon.

Here is my second card~

This card is using the new set called Scent with Love.  I stamped the darling skunk on Select White CS using Black Momento ink.  I colored the "black" areas with a little extra black Prismacolor Pencil.  I then added white flock on the skunks entire body using my Quickie glue pen.  The flowers were colored using my Copic Markers.  I added a few tiny red rhinestones to the centers of the red flowers.  I cut the image out using my circle Nesties and then matted it first on a scalloped circle of Pure Poppy CS, Basic Black and then some old orange polka dot paper by Imaginisce.  I also added some black rhinestones on the Pure Poppy scallops

Isn't it cute?  I love that sweet little face.  Too bad skunks are so cute in real life.  On the inside I stamped the "Scent with Love" sentiment using Black Momento ink.

Here is my final card ~

 

The base of this card is Select White CS and then a mat of Dark Chocolate.  The lower mats are first Select White and then American Crafts DP.  The image is from THIS NEW stamp set called Chipmunk Cling Set.  I stamped the Chipmunk on Select White CS using Cocoa Momento and then colored using my Copics.  I stamped the flower again on a scrap piece of Select White, cut it out and then mounted it on top of the first stamped flower using dimensionals.  I did use the "out of the box" technique when cutting the image.  I matted the image on Dark Chocolate CS.  The middle mat is the back of the first DP and was matted with Select White.  I added a strip of the DP toward the bottom.

On the inside of the card I stamped the darling sentiment ~ Hope you're feeling Chipper soon!

Jacksonbelle Tuesday ~ Shoot for the Stars.....

Good Morning!

This is going to be a quick post since I didn't get my Jbelle card done yesterday and just found out that my kids are on a two hour delay AGAIN due to snow so I have given up hope that I will get a card done for today's challenge.  Today's Jbelle challenge is to make a card using a new fold.

Before I go on to my card, I want to let you know that Lindsey just received the NEW Cosmo Cricket, NEW My Favorite Things PURE INNOCENCE stamps (which I might add are selling FAST!) and you can now pre-order the NEW Stampavie stamps.

I will share a card with you that I made a while back so it doesn't have a new fold but hey, it's a card ~

The base of this card is Dark Chocolate (PTI) with a mat of Basic Grey's Origins (Lindsey is currently out of this but will be getting more shortly!!!).    Next is Basic Black , Dark Chocolate and then another pattern of Origins DP which I cut using my top note die and then used a Chocolate Chip marker around the edges.  The stars are from Verve's Swirly Stars set and all were stamped using Chocolate Chip ink on the brown and yellow Origins paper.  I added a Zva rhinestone swirl (Lindsey will be restocking the Zva very soon!), added the stars and thats it!  The bottom star was tied on using linen thread.
