Serendipity Wednesday ~ Reading and Writing Challenge....

Hi!

I hope you all are having a great day!  Today's Serendipity Stamps challenge is a to use the theme, Reading and Writing.  Serendipity has some beautiful stamps that can be used for this theme HERE.   I went a little different route.  Getting my daughter out the door for school in the morning can be a frustrating experience....to say the least!!! LOLOL!!!  She will start telling a story and just STAND there!!  At this point, I start to lose it yet trying to be a loving mother and listen to her story while in my head I am thinking, OMG we are going to be late!!!! LOLOL!!!  To help remedy this, I have made a check list for her! 

  

I had bought this little clipboard a while back.  It is by Melissa Frances.  I added a Pure Poppy CS under the checklist that I printed multiple copies of on computer paper.  I then stamped one of Serendipity's beautiful sentiments on the bottom for her to read and have a great day at school.  The sentiment I used on the first sheet can be found HERE!  There are more beautiful sentiments that I used and you can find them all HERE.

For the Monogram M, I stamped the image, which can be found HERE, on Select White using Black Momento ink.  Cut it out using my square Nesties, colored it using my Copics and then matted it on True Black.  I used glue dots to adhere it on the clip.

Happy Anni-VERVE-sary!!!!

Today is Verve's 3 year Anni-VERVE-sary!!!  As successful as Julee has been, you would think Verve was more than 3 years old!!!  Her stamps are so beautiful and such wonderful quality, I am not surprised she has done so well.  Today we celebrate Verve's 3 year anniversary!  You all know how generous Julee is so you KNOW there are specials and prizes!!!  Here are all the awesome details ~

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from the VERY talented Angel's blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (HEAD DIVA), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. Here is my card ~

The base of this card is True Black and and is 5" square.  The layout is based LOOSELY on Julee's Mojo Monday sketch HERE.  The next mat is a light brown piece of DP from Basic Grey's Capella Collection and then Dark Chocolate CS.  The top 2 pieces of DP are also from Capella with a strip of the same light brown which I stamped using the border stamp from my first FAVORITE Verve stamp set ~ Grateful Elegance.  Oh my gosh, it was my first Verve love and I still love it!!!   The border was stamped using Black Momento ink and then I added a couple clear Zva rhinestones.  I stamped the scroll image on the light brown DP and then cut it out using my square Nesties but before removing the die, I used a black gel pen and made a frame around the image.  I then matted the image on True Black CS. 

The celebrating you sentiment, from the Celebrating You stamp set, was stamped on the Grey DP using Black Momento, cut out using again my square Nesties, matted on True Black and then I used the square Kaiser Craft rhinestone frame.  The flowers are also from the Grateful Elegance set and were stamped on another pattern in the Capella collection, cut out and then I added clear rhinestones to the centers.  The Happy Birthday sentiment, from the Big Wish set and was stamped on the Grey DP using Black Momento and cut out using a label die from Spellbinders.  I matted the sentiment with True Black CS.
