I am back with not just one, but two sneak peeks for you today! My first card is not only using Verve's BRAND NEW Autumn Splendor set but it is based on Cath's Trigger Tuesday inspiration seen below ~
Here is my take on the picture ~
The base of this card is Razzleberry with a mat of Dark Chocolate. The "grass", houses and their roofs are all from solid papers included in Basic Grey's Pyrus Collection. The houses and roofs I made myself and added the windows and doors with a brown marker. I ran the roofs through my mosaic embossing folder to add the texture. I just layered pieces of the green paper that I cut using my largest oval Nestabilities die. I pierced along the edges to add some definition. The sentiment is from Verve's BRAND NEW sentiment set called Fall Sentiments. I stamped the trees, from the BRAND NEW Autumn Splendor set, directly on the hills since the set comes with the outline stamps and solid stamps. I want to add here that my "trees" may not be trees at all but leaves since every other stamp included in the set are leaves but when I saw them, I saw TREES!!! LOLOL!!!
The way I did the tree tops was to use 2 colors of ink, ink up the solid stamp with the lightest shade and then roll it on the darker ink pad and then before stamping on the Select White CS, spritz the stamp with water. The color combinations I used are Rich Razzleberry & Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzaz & Old Olive and So Saffron & Cajun Craze. I then cut the tops out and mounted them on the first stamped outline image.
Here is a closer look at the trees ~
Stamps ~ Fall Sentiments and Autumn Splendor (Verve), Ink ~ Cocoa Memento and for the trees ~ Pear Pizzaz, Old Olive, So Saffron, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride, Paper ~ Select White, Dark Chocolate and Rich Razzleberry CS and Basic Grey Pyrus DP, Other ~ Paper Piercer, Clear heart button (SU!), Linen Thread (SU!), Mosaic embossing folder (ProvoCraft), Water spritzer, glue dots
Here is my second card ~
The base of this card is Poppy Parade with a mat of Dark Chocolate then Select White and finally a piece of buttercup Bo Bunny polka dot CS. I sewed around it and of course, it is crooked! LOL!! Oh and I want to mention that the layout is based on Julee's World Card Making Day sketch HERE! OK, so the panel to the left is Dark Chocolate and then Whisper White that was punched using my EK Success border punch and stamped using different leaf stamps included in the BRAND NEW Autumn Splendor set. The ink colors are Always Artichoke, Poppy Parade, So Saffron and Early Espresso for the leaf outlines.
The sentiment is from tomorrows NEW set called Bountiful Harvest and was stamped on Select White using Early Espresso ink. I pierced around the oval that was cut using my Nesties and then matted with Poppy Parade and then Always Artichoke. The ribbon is Dark Chocolate from PTI. The little flower is from the NEW Many Blessings set and was stamped on the same buttercup Bo Bunny paper using Early Espresso, cut it out, added a Poppy Parade center and mounted on the card using dimensionals.
Stamps ~ Bountiful Harvest, Many Blessings and Autumn Splendor (Verve), Ink ~ Early Espresso, Poppy Parade, Always Artichoke and So Saffron (SU!), Paper ~ Select White, Dark Chocolate (PTI), Poppy Parade, Always Artichoke (SU!) and Bo Bunny polka dot CS, Other ~ Dark Chocolate polka dot ribbon (PTI), Oval Nesties, Paper Piercer, dimensionals, Janome Sew Mini, EK Success border punch
