Today we are peeking the final Verve set to be released called Glad Tidings. Wait until you see this set! Oh my gosh, I LOVE it!!! Actually, I love them all but this one includes the most beautiful snowflakes.... I am going to show you a couple cards that I made with the set ~
What, have you never seen black snowflakes before?!?!? LOLOLOL!!!! The base of this card is True black with a mat of Kraft and then a pattern of DP from Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding Collection. I punched the side using my EK Success border punch. My layout was CASEd from one of my PaperCrafts magazine. The Vintage Oval Frame was stamped on Kraft ink using Black Memento ink. I stamped the Let it Snow sentiment, from Holiday Phrases, on Kraft CS using Cool Caribbean ink. I then cut it out and mounted it inside the first stamped frame. All of the snowflakes were stamped directly on the DP and then again on Select White. I cut the centers of the snowflakes out of the Select White CS and then colored using my Copics. The final step was to adhere the snowflake centers on top of the first stamped image using dimensionals, add the clear rhinestones and then stamp the sentiment which is also included in the Glad Tidings set.
Here is a closer look ~
My second card was a real simple one! I kept wanting to add more but didn't!! It was hard but I think I am learning that sometimes less is best! LOL!!!
The card base is a piece of DP from Jillibean Soup that measures 4" square. I rounded the corners and cut a hole in the center using my Circle Nesties. I stamped the DARLING wreath image (also included in the Glad Tidings set) using Black Memento ink on Vintage Cream CS. I then used my Circle Nesties tocut out the inside and outside of the wreath. I matted it with a scalloped circle of Cranberry Crisp CS. The bow is from Verve's O Christmas Tree set, was stamped on Vintage Cream CS, cut out and colored using my Copics. The wreath was also colored with Copics. I also added some Burgundy Stickles on the berries. Here is a closer look ~
The sentiment is also in the Glad Tidings set and was stamped using Cocoa Memento ink. Here is what the inside looks like ~

Oh these are just lovely Lynda! I LOVE the wreath and punched out hole in the center of the second card - and your sticles application is PERFECT! How DO you do it without smearing?? And your first card is so elegant, that border punch really accentuates the elegance of the snowflakes.
