Today, we are celebrating Stella! I you don't know who Stella is, you definitely will KNOW Stella when you are done here on my post!! LOL!! I just love Stella! The sentiments just crack me up and of course Stella herself is pretty darn funny too! My first card is for a NEW challenge blog I came across the other day when Linda McClain left me a comment telling me about it! You HAVE to check it out. Basically, they give you a card that one of their designers have made and the recipe. You can then take anything or everything from the recipe and create your card. I have probably confused you now so to get the ACTUAL details, go to their blog HERE! LOL!!
Here is the BEAUTIFUL card of Jeanie's that we are to use for inspiration ~
Isn't it just gorgeous?!?! Her coloring is amazing! OK, so you see how soft and pretty Jeanie's card is...well...here's mine ~
I know, you are thinking how sweet my image is as well!!! LOLOL!!! Doesn't she just make you laugh? I stamped Nurse Stella on Select White CS using Black Memento ink. I then cut her out using my oval Nesties and before removing the die, I masked Stella and sponged Ranger Antique Linen ink around the edges. I colored her using my Copics and paper pieced the gown. I added some white accents on the gown using my white gel pen. This was then matted with a Night of Navy scallope oval. I embossed the lighter blue panel using my ProvoCraft dots embossing folder and then matted it with first Night of Navy and then Select White CS. The edges were punched using my EK Success small scallop border punch. The lighter blue, tan and decorative paper are all from Chatterbox and are VERY OLD! I added the ribbon, blue rhinestones for her earrings and stamped the sentiment in the top corner using Night of Navy ink.
I pretty much followed Jeanie's colors and layout. Here is the Recipe ~
~ Cardstock: Select White (PTI) and Night of Navy (SU!)
~ Patterned Paper: Chatterbox
~ Stamps: Nurse Stella (Bugaboo/Totally Stampalicious)
~ Color Mediums: Black Memento Ink, Night of Navy (SU!) and Antique Linen (Ranger), Copic Markers (E00, E11, E50, N1, N3, N7, B41, B45 and 100), White gel pen.
~ Embellishments: White ribbon (May Arts), Blue rhinestones (MAMBI)
~ Tools: Small scallop border punch (EK Success), Dots embossing folder (ProvoCraft), sponge, Nestabilities ~ Oval and Scalloped Oval (Spellbinders)
~ Technique(s): Paper Piecing
Here is a closer look ~
How would you like to have a nurse that looked like that?!? LOLOL!!! Here is another Stella card I made last week. This one is for my daughter's teacher for Valentine's Day ~
I'm not real thrilled with how this one turned out but I know my daughter's teacher will laugh! This one is a pretty simple card so I will just go on to the recipe.
Stamps: Stupid Cupid (Bugaboo/Totally Stampalicious)
Ink: Black Memento
Paper: Select White and True Black CS (PTI) and Crush DP (Bo Bunny)
Other: May Arts ribbon, Stardust Stickles, Sizzix Love embossing folder, Black and Clear Copic Spica glitter pens, dimensionals and Labels Fourteen Nesties.
Well, that will do it for me! Have a great day!
~Lynda
This nurse is hilarous - my mother-in-law was an ICU nurse until she retired and she would definitely agree with the sentiment! Thanks for the laugh and I hope you are staying warm, dry, and safe!!

Lynda - Oh my goodness! Stella's hilarious. Love both the cards, but since I'm I nurse, you know which one I like best! Thanks so much for the kind shout out for our challenge and for playing along with Catered Crop.
