Hello!
I have a couple cards to share with you today that I made for our Serendipity Stamps challenge which is to make a card for a teacher. I thought, what better way to thank a teacher than with Roses!!! These roses are much cheaper and will last a lot longer than store bought ones plus you can make these roses any color you want!! LOLOL!!!
The base of this card is Naturals Ivory and is 4 1/4" square. I sponged all edges with Crumb Cake ink. The next layer is first Select Black and then a piece of DP from MME NEW Stella Rose Mabel Collection. The polka dot paper is from October Afternoons Fly a Kite Collection. I made the frame using my Square Nestabilities and Labels Fifteen Nestabilities. The lace "frame" is actually just strips of Offray lace taped on the back of the frame. The Rose Square image was stamped 1 time on the script paper and again on Vintage Cream CS using Black Memento ink. I cut the Vintage Cream rose out and colored using my Copic Markers {R20, R22, R24}. The rose was mounted on top of the first stamped rose using dimensionals and then the frame was added on top using pop dots which are thicker than dimensionals. I added a Tim Holtz memo pin {I wanted to add the sentiment to the pin but couldn't find one that would work!}, Very Vanilla seam binding and an antique brad from SU! in the corner.

I made another rose card using my FAVORITE English Rose image ~
The base of this card is Select White with a mat of True Black and then Kraft CS. The DP is from October Afternoons Fly a Kite Collection. I stamped the rose image on Select White CS using Black Memento ink. I then masked the rose image {yes, this took a little while to cut out!} and then stamped the Script BG also using Black Memento ink. I colored the roses using my Copic Markers {Y32, Y35, Y38} and matted this piece with Select Black CS. I then added black twine and a button I cut using MFT's button die.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

Your lace inside the frame is simply stunning. And...until now...I had managed to keep Labels 15 off of my wishlist, but I love what you have done with it. It fits the square so well!

So many pretty details Lynda - love the lace and the script in the background of both cards. Oh yeah, I finally started a blog! It is still in the infantile phase, nut if you wish to check it out: www.caninesandcarddesigns.blogspot.com
