Hello!
This month isn't even half over and I can't believe how busy it has been! Today, I am off with my daughter's class back to DC to the Zoo. We had a great time last Thursday visiting the Monuments. I will add a couple pictures at the end of my post in case you are intersted!
Today's Totally Stampalicous challenge is to make a card/project with bugs on it. Well, I guess a butterfly can be considered a bug but it is not as ugly as a bug, that's for sure!
The base of this card is Dark Chocolate. All of the DP is from MME Stella and Rose Gertie Collection. I used my EK Success border punch to punch the large scallops in Rose CS as well as the yellow polka dot DP so it would line up with the Rose border. The ribbon is Rose grosgrain, a Saffron button and Chocolate twine from Niki's Etsy store HERE. The DARLING Ava Flowers image found HERE and was stamped on Select White using Black Memento ink. I colored using my Copics, sponged the edges lightly with Baja Breeze ink and then matted with Dark Chocolate CS. The grass was sponged using Celery and Olive ink. I colored a couple clear rhinestones to make them blue and added them to Ava's top and the centers of the flowers.
Here is a closer look ~
I just love this image and she is perfect with the papers! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by. Here are a couple DC pictures ~

my comment about the cute card with its fab layout and dp is on your 'sale' post....duh!!! However, had to say that a trip to DC is always a joy. For many years when I was teaching I took our eighth graders to DC each fall. We went in the fall so we could use the experience all year long in my Social Studies classes....it was a lot of responsibility with some challenges, but so worth it in the experiences our kids took home....many of whom had never traveled out of CT before......how lucky you are to be able to go for a day trip.....hopefully your teachers take advantage of that gift.....just the museums alone can relate to soooo many lessons.....
fab to have you playing with us at TS
