Hi again!
I had a few minutes, OK so it took longer than a few minutes, and wanted to make a card based on today's color challenge at SCS which is Black, Rose Red and Artichoke. I had this new Bella stamp (Addicted to Rubber stamps has all their Stamping Bella stamps on sale) that I wanted to use and it worked perfectly for last weeks SCS sketch challenge! Here is my card ~
The base of this card is Basic Black with a mat of Bo Bunny DP from their Alissa line. The next decorative mat is also from the Alissa line and was matted with Whisper White card stock. The 2 strips are some old Paper Frills I have had laying around for years. They are actually black but a washed out black so I turned them over and used the white sides instead. I added Rose Red card stock below so the Rose Red would show through the holes. The black dot decorations are rub ons in which I then added Black Taylors Twinkles on the dots using my Quickie glue pen. The image is Stamping Bella ~ Matilda Muffinbread. I stamped her on Whisper White using Basic Black ink and then matted with first Basic Black and then Rose Red. I colored her skirt with Prismacolor pencils and then colored the shoes, polka dots and head band with my Rose Red ink pad and a blender pen. I used my Pink Pirouette ink pad and a blender pen to color the flowers. The bows down the side of her skirt were colored with my Artichoke ink pad. I added black Taylors Twinkles to the bows on the skirt and pink Twinkles to the centers of the flowers. I pieced the cupcake holder and stamped the cupcake top on a scrap of Whisper White, cut it out and added Clear MS glitter to it using my Quickie Glue pen. The final step was to add Opal Shimmerz to the wings. You can't see the shimmer in this picture so I will show you a close up ~
The Opal Shimmerz is to cool because in the picture on line it looks white but it has a pretty, light pink tint to it. I swear, IRL the wings are shimmery and evenly painted!!! LOL!!!
Have a great day!
