Good Morning!
Hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did! My 6th grader has half days all week and my 4th grader has full days...why???? LOLOLOL!!! What this means is that I will be driving to and from school 2 extra times each day and THAT really cuts in to my getting things done around here plan!! Oh well, I was able to make a card yesterday AND today so I will share 2 with you.
This card is for yesterday's featured stamper ~ Pam124. Her beautiful card that I CASEd is HERE and here is my card ~
Both cards today are really simple cards which works out perfectly since I don't have a lot of time to stamp. The base of this card is Chocolate Chip with a mat of Real Red CS and then another mat of Chocolate Chip and finally Whisper White which I embossed the top using my snowflake embossing folder. I stamped the ornaments which are from Verve's Holly Jolly set on decorative paper from SU! (can't remember the name of it but it is their current Christmas paper in the mini), using Versamark and then embossing using Dark Brown embossing powder. I then cut them out and added gold cord that I braided to make thicker. I taped one end of the gold braid to the back of the ornament and then the other end to the back of the top Chocolate Chip mat. I then added a little gold cord bow on top of the ornament. The Dark Brown polka dot ribbon is from Papertrey and the sentiment is from Verve's O Christmas Tree set and was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.
Here is my second card which is based on today's Clean and Simple challenge which was to add curves to your card ~
The base of this card is actually some Bo Bunny decorative CS. The panels down the side are both decorative papers from Bo Bunny and were cut using my Creative Memories wavy cutter. I sewed around the panel using my Janome Sew Mini and apparently haven't improved on sewing straight! LOL!! I thought it looked really straight until I loaded the picture on my blog!! Oh well! The ribbon is from American Crafts and the little tag was first stamped using one of the sentiments from Verve's NEW Celebration of Thanks stamp set which I stamped using Chocolate Chip ink and then punched using my Martha Stewart tag punch. I tied it on using some yellow string. The image is from Papertrey's Everyday Button Bits and was stamped on Whisper White CS using Chocolate Chip ink. I then cut the image out using my Labels One Nesties and then matted with a Pumpkin Pie piece of CS that I embossed using my Victoria embossing folder. The yellow button is also from Papertrey and can be found HERE (Lemon Tart is the color I used). I adhered the button using a glue dot and the googlie eye using my quickie glue pen. I did add some Sand Copic Spica glitter to the beak and tail.
I'll be back tomorrow with a few cards to share for my Serendipity Stamps challenge and Jbelle Tuesday Challenge!
Have a great day!
~Lynda
