Happy Birthday ~ MFT Style....

Happy Saturday!

Today we have a VERY special sponsor to kick of the New Year over at the Crazy blog!!!  Our sponsor is My Favorite Things!!!  I LOVE MFT!!!

Our challenge this week is to make a child's Birthday card.  Well, this works out perfectly for me because my daughter is going to a friends Birthday party tomorrow so this will be her card!

I didn't put the sentiment on the front because I didn't know where to put it!!! LOL!!!  The base is Select White with a mat of True Black and then Select White again.  I used MFT's Flat Bottom Cloud dies to cut the clouds out and then added a piece of decorative paper from MME.  I have no idea which line it is from because it was laying on my desk and matched really well!!  I stamped the beautiful balloon from MFT's Up, Up and Away set using Black Memento ink on a scrap piece of Select White, colored with my Copics and cut it out.  I stamped it again directly on the panel, colored the lower basket and then adhered the colored balloon.  I added some green felt I got from MFT a while back and some orange & white twine.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ A Little Something NEW!!!

Welcome!

We are starting a new Crazy New Year off today!!  Our challenge this week is brought to us by the wonderful Joanne!  She has challenged us to use some of our new stuff we got for Christmas.  I used THIS darling stamp from Totally Stampalicious called JJ Desperate Housewife.  In case you didn't know, Totally Stampalicous just released 5 new Bugaboo sets that ROCK!!!!  You can check them all out HERE.

The base of this card is Kraft CS with a mat of True Black.  The decorative paper is from Basic Grey's Little Black Dress Collection.  I stamped JJ on Canson Watercolor Paper using Black Memento ink and colored her with my Copics.  I paper pieced her skirt.  I matted the image piece with True Black CS.  I then added the strip of DP that I punched using my SU! scallop punch, added the Zva black rhinestone flourish and some gold twine.  On the inside I stamped the sentiment - "Do I look like a desperate housewife?"

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ 3 Little Snowmen....

Hello!

I have a card!  It is using Serendipity Stamps which I have SO been neglecting!!!  I just LOVE Serendipity Stamps!!!  I used THIS brand NEW trio of snowmen ~

Aren't they just the cutest?!?!  Oh, I forgot to mention that this card is for our Crazy challenge from Joycelyn which was to make a card or project that has snow on it!  The base of this card is Kraft with a mat of True Black and then Select White which I embossed the top of using my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I stamped the darling image on Kraft CS using Black Memento ink and colored using my Copics.  I added the PTI Snow White ink using a blender pen.  The punch is from EK Success and the ribbon is from PTI.

Crazy for Challenge & a Sketch for you to try!!!

Good Morning!

I am so proud that I was able to incorporate 2 challenges in 1 today!!! LOL!!!  This weeks Crazy challenge is to make some sort of gifty thing!! LOL!!  You can fnd the more technical description HERE on the Crazy blog!  Also, this month Verve is sponsoring Jen's SFYTT challenge HERE!!  I have used Jen's sketch and the Crazy gifty challenge AND Verve stamps!!!

The base of this card is Kraft CS with a mat of Select White and then different patterns of DP from Basic Grey's Wisteria collection.  For my gifty part, I included the sewn vellum to fit a gift card perfectly!  And if the gift card is crooked, it will fit even more perfectly because my sewing is crooked!!! LOL!!!  Anyway, I added the darling tree from Verve's Christmas in the Air set which, IMO, is a MUST HAVE!!!

Good Morning!

My sons football game was cancelled today so I was able to finish my Crazy card!!  Yes, I am a little late but at least I am posting it on the same day it was due!!! LOL!!!

Today's Crazy challenge is to incorporate candy in to your creation....

The base of this card is Select White with a mat of Kraft.  The 2 decorative strips are from MME Christmas Collection from last year...I think!!  I stamped the VERY festive Margaret {found HERE in the Totally Stampalicious store} on Select White using Black Memento ink.  I colored using my Copics and added some sparkly fluff to accent.  She also has some beautiful iridescent rhinestone earrings on!   I matted her with Rose Red CS and added some ribbon.

Crazy For Challenges - Outlines Gift Card Holder.....

Happy Saturday!

It's time for another CRAZY Challenge.  Before we get into today's challenge, as this week is a sponsored challenge, we need to introduce this month's sponsor which is Outlines Rubber Stamps. Tammy has challenged us to use heat embossing on our card or project!  Here is my gift card holder ~

The base of my card is Kraft with a mat of True Black.   The darling Outlines gift card holder stamp can be found HERE.  It is such a versatile stamp!  I stamped the entire image on Select White CS.  I cut out the outer frame and inner frame.  Colored them using my Copics, added some bling and used my glitter pens to highlight.  I embossed the crosshatch center Kraft panel using Black embossing powder and popped it up on dimensional strips.  It is so cool because the gift card fit just perfectly in there!  What a neat idea!  I'm not sure if I really like these colors so I'll just have to make another one using different colors.

Finally, I am posting a card for our weekly Crazy challenge!!!  I hope the girls don't fire me!! LOL!!  This month's hostess with the mostess is Tammy!  Her challenge is to make any card to contribute to the Operation Write Home organization!  What a wonderful organization!  You can read more about it HERE on the Crazy blog.

The base of my card is Vintage Cream with a mat of Dark Chocolate and then some DP from Cosmo Cricket.  The DARLING Chester Platypus, (from Totally Stampalicious) image was stamped on Vintage Cream using Black Memento ink.  I colored using my Prismacolor Pencils, cut him out using my circle Nesties and matted him with a Dark Chocolate scalloped circle.  The sentiment, SO funny, was stamped using Early Espresso ink, punched out using my small Martha Stewart tag punch, and tied on to Early Espresso ribbon using Red floss.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Peace, Love and Friendship!!

Hi!

Today's Crazy challenge is a color challenge!  I hate color challenges....I'm not very good at them....  I have been wanting to ink up my NEW Hippie Dottie stamp and thought today's challenge would be perfect!

The base of this card is Vintage Cream with a mat of True Black.  The DP is from Basic Grey's Pyrus Collection.  I stamped Dottie on Vintage Cream using Black Memento ink and then colored her with my Copics.  I then cut her out using my Circle Nesties and matted with a circle cut using my Lacey Circle dies.  The final step was to add some brown twine which I see has a scrap piece stuck to it...geez, I swear....hahahahaha!

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Back to School....

Hi!

Today's Crazy challenge is a Back to School theme!  My card is a little different....of course!! hahaha!!!  I only have 1 stamp that resembles anything to do with school and didn't want to use it soooo....I decided to make a card based on my feelings about my kids going back to school and how much I was going to miss them!!!  I know, you think I am lying and I think I have lost my mind but I really have missed them!!!  After spending 3 months together EVERY SINGLE DAY....you get used to it although I have to say I don't miss the part about being in the car so much!!! :)  Anyway, here is my card ~

I had not every used this SU! Bliss stamp and the BEAUTIFUL sentiment is from Verve's Small Phrases set which is a MUST HAVE if you have not bought it yet!!!  My card base is Vintage Cream with a mat of Early Espresso and then Kraft CS on top.  The DP is from October Afternoon.  I stamped the flourish using Crumb Cake ink and the butterfly using Regal Rose ink.  I stamped the butterfly a second time on Kraft CS and then just cut out the wings to give it dimension.  The sentiment was stamped using Early Espresso ink and then I added some SU! pearls.  The seam binding is also from SU! (vintage brad is as well) and then I added some natural burlap string.  The top was punched using my Fiskars Apron border punch.  I did sponge the edges of the Kraft using Crumb Cake ink.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Flourishes.....

Welcome!

I feel like I haven't played along with the Crazy girls in ages!  Today's Crazy challenge is a SUPER fun one!  Frances has challenged us to play Bingo.  Bingo???  Yes, Bingo!!!  Here is her Bingo card!

How fun is this???  Not only do we have an amazing challenge this week but we have an even more AMAZING sponsor!!!   This weeks sponsor is Flourishes!!!!  Oh my gosh, how amazing is this!  I have 2 cards to share with you today but only 1 fits in to the bingo challenge so I will show you that first!

The base of this card is Kraft CS with a mat of Basic Grey DP.  The darling image is from Flourishes Kid Play set and was stamped on Pink Paislee DP using Chocolate Chip Craft ink.  I added some Early Espresso ribbon, Pink Basic Grey rhinestones and Regal Rose CS that I punched using my Martha Stewart Doily Punch.  I sponged all the edges using Crumb Cake ink.  This was a very simple card and totally CASEd from one of my Paper Crafts magazines!!! LOL!!!

Here is my second card using Flourishes Swan Lake set ~

My card does not do this set justice!  Oh my gosh, it is just beautiful!  I kept looking at my card and wondering what I could add because it is so plain but the image is so gorgeous, there just wasn't anything that was worthy!!! LOL!!!  I made the "frame" on Select White CS using a scrap of square CS and a black marker.  I then masked the outside edges of my frame off using post it notes.  I then stamped the images, colored with Copics and added some Frosted Lace Stickles on the water and was done.  Oh, I did mat the image with Black CS!
