Happy Friday!!

I have a NEW fun challenge to share with you today!  Verve is sponsoring an awesome challenge over at Embellish Magazine's blog!   Here is my card ~

The base of this card is Select White.  I cut the rectangle window using my rectangle Nesties and then made a frame using the rectangle Nesties and scalloped rectangle Nesties and papers from THIS Making Memories Flutter collection.  The lower strip is from the same Flutter collection.  I punched the top of the border using my EK Success border punch.  I think this Flutter paper was MADE to coordinate with PTI's CS.  The colors match perfectly!

The beautiful cross and sentiment are both included in Verve's Everlasting Life set.  I stamped both the image and sentiment using Cocoa Momento ink, paper pieced the inside of the cross, added THESE Memory Box pink rhinestones and then matted this on Lemon Tart CS.  I don't know why I can't get good pictures when I use white CS.  I swear the white CS is not dingy in real life, just MY pictures! LOL!!

All you need is Love!!!

I have a few projects I have been working on and hope to show them to you soon!  I have a baby gift and a house warming gift.  Speaking of projects, Verve's Project Parade is going on now and boy, have the Diva's outdone themselves!!  You can see all the projects, HERE on the Verve blog.  I will have mine for you next week!

Today's card is based on yesterday's SCS sketch challenge.

 

The base of this card is Spring Rain CS by PTI.  The next mat is Select White CS (PTI) and one of the Cupid patterns from Pink Paislee.  I stitched around the decorative panel using my Janome Sew mini machine.  It must be broken because it isn't stitching straight!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!  The sentiment piece is Select White CS and I stamped the darling sentiment that is included in Verve's new Love's Flower set, using Chocolate Chip ink.  The polka dots below the SU! ribbon is from Verve's Bountiful Backgrounds set and was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink.  I matted this piece on Chocolate Chip CS, added the SU! ribbon and finally the beautiful Zva flower.

Oh my gosh, we are due to get SNOW again this weekend!  What the heck!?  This global warming is really beginning to get on my nerves!!!! LOLOLOL!!!!

Viva la Verve ~ Celebrating you!!!!

Wahoo!!!  It's Friday!  Now, if it was only 70 and sunny!!!  LOL!!!  

My card today is based on Amber's Viva la Verve sketch and inspiration challenge for week 4.  I LOVED my card until I took the picture and then I didn't think it was as pretty as I first thought!! LOLOLOL!!!  It REALLY does look better in real life!

 

The base of this card is Going Gray.  The DP is from Basic Grey's Urban Prairie Collection.  The bottom piece was matted on Whisper White and punched using my EK Success border punch.  The top corner piece is matted on Basic Black.  The ribbon is white satin from SU!.  The image is from Verve's NEW Heart's Desire set and was stamped on Whisper White using Black Momento ink.  I cut the image out using my oval Nesties and then used my Going Gray marker to make the border and then before removing the die, I sponged some Going Gray ink.  I outlined the image using a grey Copic marker and a green Copic marker just around the leaves.  The sentiment is from the Celebrating You set and was again stamped using Black Momento ink.  The rhinestones are Swarovski crystals and were adhered using my Quickie glue pen.  The green flower is from Zva and can be found HERE.  I added a little  heart charm on top of the sentiment and that can be found HERE!  I added the little decorative pieces on the top and bottom of the image using my Labels Four Spellbinder die.

Serendipity Stamps and Gingersnap Creations...

Good Morning!

For our Serendipity Stamps challenges this month, we will be taking part each Wednesday in Gingersnap Creations weekly challenges!  Serendipity Stamps is the sponsor.  This weeks challenge was time.  I know, you are thinking, her card does NOT look like it has anything to do with time!!! LOLOL!!!  Au contraire (yes, I had to look up how to spell it!!!)!!! LOLOL!!!  The sentiment refers to time, LOTS of time!!!  In my case, LOTS AND LOTS of time!!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!  I still haven't reached perfection but there's still time!

The base of this card is Chocolate Chip  and is 5" square.  The next mat is Vintage Cream and then Lavender Lace and finally Eggplant Envy.  The next layer is a piece of vellum I have had in my stash for a LONG time.  The image and sentiment are both included in Serendipity Stamps set called Wine and Cheese Cling Set and can be found HERE!  I stamped the image using Black Momento ink on Vintage Cream CS by PTI.  I then colored using my Copics and cut the image using my Square Nesties.  I sponged the image using Ranger Antique Linen ink and a little Chocolate Chip on the edges.  The image was matted using Chocolate Chip CS and I added some Crystal Effects to the wine glasses to make them look like shiny glass.  I stamped the sentiment on Vintage Cream using Chocolate Chip ink and then added a purple Prima flower, SU! button, Linen Thread, Martha Stewart branches and some leaves I cut from one of my Spellbinders frameabilities dies using Artichoke CS.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ A Sketch!!!!

Happy Saturday!

Hope you all had a WONDERFUL Holiday with family and friends.  We had a great day and one of the best Christmas' yet!!

For today's C4C challenge, we have a sketch!  Here is my card ~  

The base of this card is Curry and then a mat of Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip and then a mat of DP from Basic Grey's Nook & Pantry Collection.  The triangle piece is also from the Nook & Pantry DP.  I used my Janome sew mini to stitch and added a piece of brown & white May Arts ribbon in the corner.  The DARLING image is from The Greeting Farm as is called Me Time Anya.  BTW, this weeks sponsor is none other than THE GREETING FARM!!!!  I stamped the image with Rich Cocoa Momento ink on Shimmery white CS and then colored using my Copics.  I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the bubbles, added the Verve sentiment from THIS set using the same Momento ink and then pierced around the circle.  The flower is from Prima and the rhinestone swirl is from Zva.

Serendipity Stamps ~ Valentine & Easter DT Challenge.....

Hi!

I will have 2 posts for you today so check back around 1 for my Jbelle post!  In case you have stopped by for the details on the Jbelle Tuesday challenge, it is a sketch this week and can be found HERE!

This month's DT challenge for Serendipity Stamps was to make either Valentine or Easter cards!  It was a nice break from Christmas cards to make the 2 I am going to show you today.  It makes it even more enjoyable when you LOVE the images you are using!!!  Here is my Valentine/Mother's Day card ~

 

The base of this card is Barely Banana with a mat of Sage Shadow and then Vintage Cream from PTI.  the decorative mat is first Chocolate Chip CS and then one of the patterns from My Minds Eye Be Loved Collection.  I ran the striped paper through my Cuttlebug using my leaves embossing folder.   I then added some pink May Arts lace and some off white ribbon I had in my stash that I have NO idea where I got it!!!  The image is by Serendipity Stamps and is called Heart Topiary and can be found HERE.  I stamped the image on Vintage Cream CS using Black Momento ink and then colored using a combination of Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  I cut the image out and matted it on first Pink Pirouette and the another piece of polka dot DP from the same MME collection.  I cut the 2 mats using my Labels Four Nesties.  I then added Zva pearls.

Here is another card I made using Serendipity Stamps ~

 

The base of this card is Whisper White and was embossed using my Swiss Dots embossing folder just at the bottom of the card.  The stamped the darling Easter Chick image using Basic Black ink on Whisper White CS.  I then colored using a blender pen and Apricot, Tangerine, Banana, Mustard and Artichoke ink pads as well as my Prismacolor pencils.  I cut the image out using my oval Nesties and then matted on a scalloped oval of Tangerine Tango CS.  The decorative leaf paper is from My Minds Eye Bloom & Grow Collection and was punched at the bottom using my Martha Stewart flower border punch and then matted using Artichoke CS.  I added some scrap white silky ribbon and Zva clear rhinestones along the border.  The final little detail I added was some white flock on the little chickie using my Quickie glue pen.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Snowmen &/or Snowflakes!!!!

It's Saturday!!!! YAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!

I have to take Mary to field hockey and then tonight she has a birthday party to attend.  I hope to fit a little stamping in somewhere in between!  Today's C4C challenge is to make a snowman and/or snowflake card!

 

This is a really easy card based LOOSELY on Julee's Mojo Monday sketch from over a week ago!  I didn't add the little tag off to the left so that is why it is LOOSELY based on Julee's sketch!   I also used last weeks CAS color challenge of using brown and red!

The base of this card is Chocolate Chip and is 4 1/4" square.  The next layers are first Shimmery white CS and then THIS DP from Imaginisce.  I used my Janome Sew Mini to stitch around the snowflake paper.  The trees in the center are from Verve's, Christmas in the air and were stamped on the shimmery white CS using Chocolate Chip ink.  I stamped them again on other patterns of DP from the same Imaginisce DP collection.  I then cut them out and mounted them on top of some mounds of "snow" that I made from the Shimmery White CS which I covered with clear Martha Stewart glitter.  I cut the image using my circle Nesties and then while the image was still in the die, I free hand pierced around the top portion.  I matted this image on a circle of Chocolate Chip CS.

Here is another card I made using the same snowflake paper ~

 

The base of this card is Kraft CS with a mat of PTI Vintage Cream CS and then the same Imaginisce DP.  The top and bottom decorative piece is THIS Spellbinders die which I used to cut the decorative frame from PTI Vintage Cream CS.  I then used THESE Spellbinders dies to make the Vintage Cream "frame" around the image.  The image is from Serendipity Stamps and is called Christmas Chapel.  I stamped the image on Kraft CS using Black Momento ink.  I did a little highlighting using my Cool Shadow Copic marker and then added clear Martha Stewart glitter using my Quickie glue pen.  The tree and star were stamped again and cut out then popped up using dimensionals.  I added the small white pearls from THIS Zva pearl set and to add color to the star, I used Christmas Red Stickles.

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Gift and Gift Card Holder!!!!

Good Morning!

Today's C4C challenge is to make a gift card holder.  I went a step further and made a gift to go along with my gift card holder.  

The six pack holder is by Art Blanche and can be found HERE!  The pretty pink paper is some I picked up at my LSS and is by Melissa Frances.  I punched the top and bottom using my MS scallop doily punch.  The bottles used to hold Prima flowers and now they hold bath bubbles, bath crystals, body wash, white chocolate mint candy and chocolate covered peanuts.  I will give you a closer look at the jars in a minute!  The image is from The Greeting Farm and is called Me Time Anya.  Rachel is currently out but I am sure she is reordering so if you are interested in this set, just contact her HERE!

I made the little window using Whisper White CS and adding THIS DP in the background.  The candles are included in the set and I made the shelf from dark brown Bazzill CS.  The "rug" is a large oval punched from Whisper White CS and then I added snow white Flower Soft.  Anya's "towel" was paper pieced using the same pink DP but I added white flock to make it look fluffy.  I also added white flock to her robe.

Here is a closer look at the gift card holder ~

I made the box from a template I made using one I bought at target for $.99.   I will try to figure out how to upload it and pass it on if anyone is interested.  I embossed the bottom of the box, before I taped it together, using my Victoria embossing folder.  The ribbon is from May Arts, rhinestones are from Zva and the darling pin is from Making Memories.  The little flower is from some old trim I had laying around.

Some quick details I added on this are white flock on the slippers to make them fuzzy, Stardust Stickles on the bubble and I paper pieced her little headband with the same DP.

I printed the ingredients on the same DP and then punched them all out using my SU! large oval punch and then matted using a white scalloped oval that I cut using my Nesties.  I tied these on using black and white May Arts ribbon. 

Sorry this is such a quick post and definitely lacking in details but I still have so much to do to get ready to go to The Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg.  Joey's entire football team and their families are going so it will DEFINITELY be a great time!

Crazy 4 Challenges ~ Let's get Punchy!!!!

Today's C4C challenge is to use our punches!  Use at least 1 punch or more on your card or project!  Since Kraftin' Kimmie is our sponsor this month, I used one of her DARLING stamps on my card today!  Meet Piper ~ 

 

The layout of this card is based on Mercy's Tuesday sketch HERE!  The base of this card is Riding Hood Red with a mat of Vintage Cream (PTI), Chocolate Chip and then one of the patterns in THIS Imaginisce  paper collection.  The mat below the image piece is first Cool Caribbean CS and then another pattern of DP from the same Polar Expressions collection which I might add, I punched using my SU! scallop border punch.  I have no idea where I got the polka dot ribbon but it was PERFECT for this card!!!  I love when things work out that way!  I printed Piper on Vintage Cream CS and then colored using a combination of Copics and Prismacolor Pencils.  Piper is matted with Chocolate Chip CS and the sentiment is from Verve's Celebration of Thanks set and was stamped on Vintage Cream CS using Chocolate Chip ink and then punched using my MS tag punch.

My husband took the kids to NJ for Thanksgiving with his parents and I stayed here to take care of the animals so we are going to celebrate our Thanksgiving together today!!!  It really sucks now because they have been tainted by my MIL's fab cooking!!!  Oh well, they KNOW my cooking sucks so at least they had 1 good meal this holiday season!! LOLOLOL!!!

I have a couple of cards to share with you tonight!  My first card is using the NEW Thankful Accents set as well as Holly Jolly ~

I don't know about you but I get so wrapped up in making Christmas cards that I forget that AFTER Christmas, thank you notes need to be sent so here is my FIRST thank you note!!!  The base of this card is Bordering Blue with a mat of Vintage Cream.  The decorative paper on the left is some old paper I have had from Melissa Frances and the strip down the side, which was cut using THIS Pierceabilities die, is from MME Merry Days of Christmas.  The crocheted flower is one that Lindsey used to have in her store.  I added a PTI white button and tied a bow using linen thread.  The sentiment was stamped on Vintage Cream CS that I cut using my Lots of Tags Sizzlet dies using Bordering Blue ink.  I lightly sponged the edges of the tag using Bordering Blue ink.  I then added THESE Zva rhinestones.  BTW, don't forget that Lindsey has 25% off her entire store right now until the 30th!  The rhinestone flourish is also from Zva and can be found HERE.  I stamped the ornaments from Holly Jolly using my Versamark on the MME DP and then heat embossed using Vanilla EP.  I added a top loop to the ornament using linen thread and then tied the ornaments on using linen thread again.

On the inside I stamped ~ You're too kind from the NEW Thankful Hearts set, using Bordering Blue ink.

Here is a super simple card I made using 1 Corinthians 15:57, which is a Plain Jane stamp ~ 

 

The base of this card is Chocolate Chip.  The off white paper is actually the back of the decorative blue strip on the side and is by My Minds Eye, their Bella Bella Collection.  I embossed one side of the off white paper using my Victoria embossing folder from Provo Craft.  The strip down the side was punched using one of my Martha border punch/embosser.  I then added vanilla Taffeta and off white wide organdy ribbon.  The branches were punched from Artichoke CS using my MS punch.  The flowers are from Verve's Grateful Elegance set and were stamped on the DP using Chocolate Chip ink.  I then cut them out, added the tiny Memory Box pearls and adhered them on the sentiment piece which was stamped using Chocolate Chip ink and cut out using my oval Nesties.  The final step was to add the tiny MS butterflies.
