Good Morning!
I am so excited because today I am going to scrapbook ALL day!!! I am attending a crop at our LSS from 10am to 10pm ~ CAN'T WAIT!!! Wow, 12 hours....I should get AT LEAST 2 pages done!!! LOL!!!
Before I go, I want to share with you my card I made for Laurie's OCC Sketch challenge! Here is my card ~
For some reason, this card looks really tall but it isn't, it is a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card...hmm...oh well, the base of this card is Cryogen White Argo Wiggins card stock with a mat of Pink Pirouette, which I sponged with Creamy Caramel ink, then dark brown Bazzill card stock and finally, on top, MME from their new Bella Bella "Bellezo" line. I added the Fancy Pants lace right up the center of the card and just used Scotch tape to adhere it to the back. The next layer behind the oval is the same dark brown Bazzill which I punched with my Martha Lattice punch. The top cream paper is the back of the bottom pink piece which I punched as well with the lattice punch and then added a small strip of the pink behind the openings. I also added a small strip of the brown Bazzill at the top of the lattice. The piercing was done using THIS corner Ornare piercing template. I added Kaiser pearls to the piercing, bottom left and metal pewter flower (can't remember who this was by).
The top oval is the off white which again is the back of the pink DP and was stamped using a BRAND NEW Inkadinkado butterfly stamp and Pink Pirouette ink. Lindsey doesn't have this stamp in stock but if you email her, she will order it for you! I stamped the butterfly again on the same off white paper and cut it out. After I cut the first butterfly out using my oval Nesties, I kept the die on the piece and then sponged first Creamy Caramel ink and then Chocolate Chip. I added some shine, of course, using my Copic Spica clear glitter pen. Here is a better look at that ~
This card is much prettier IRL in fact I am going to get some more of this Bella paper today ~ it is absolutely beautiful! I then matted this oval on top of a dark brown oval, added the pewter flower & Quickutz leaves (cut from the pink DP and sponged with Chocolate Chip ink) and then mounted the whole piece on the front using dimensionals.
My technical support person ~ AKA ~ LOVING HUSBAND, got home last night so hopefully my new hard drive will come today and he will be able to get my laptop back up and running! I don't have photoshop on the desk top so that is why my pictures look so bad (you didn't THINK it was MY picture taking ability now did you?!?!?!? LOL!!!).
Enough about my issues (I could go on for DAYS!!!)! Be sure to check out the OCC girls samples, you are SURE to be inspired ~ Dawn, Cindy, Kim, Jennifer, Julee, Amy, Laurie, Lori, Silke, and Jackie! You can see ALL the samples HERE on the OCC blog! If you would like to play along, you can link your card VERY easily right on the post for this challenge on the OCC blog or when you upload to SCS, include keyword OCCC.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
