I have a super quick card to share with you today that is based on Jeanne Christmas in July challenge HERE on the SCS site!  I am donating Christmas cards for a crop in about a week or so and now after this one today, still need 2 more so this challenge is perfect for me!!!

I just LOVE this image!!  I saw it in a Paper Crafts magazine and had to have it.  It is a digital image and can be found HERE at Whimsie Doodles.  I printed the image on Select White CS, colored using my Copics, masked (used post it notes) around the frame and sponged Soft Sky ink.  I added Stardust Stickles in the centers of the snowflakes and along the snow mound.  I then matted the image with Dark Chocolate CS.  The purple DP is from Bo Bunny's Christmas line from last year.   See, I told you it was easy!  OK, I have to get busy on my other 2 cards now!!  Have a great day!

Featured Stamper Sunday ~ You've got Style.....

Good Morning!

Since I was up with the birds this morning, I thought I would play along with SCS's featured stamper challenge!  Today's featured stamper is BFinlay.  Her DARLING card that I chose to CASE is HERE!  

Here is my card ~

This card was so simple and I love how it turned out!  I have seen the Martha Stewart birds on a wire punch for a while and finally broke down and bought it!!!  I have so many ideas for this punch!!!  Anyway, the cloud paper is from MME Love me Do Collection.  The "grass" is Pear Pizazz CS and of course was punched using my Martha grass punch.  The flower paper is from MME Stella & Rose Mabel Collection.  The sentiment was stamped using Black Memento ink and is from Verve's Express Yourself  set.  The final step was to add the little silver flower charm with an orange rhinestone in the center!  Easy peasy!

Roses for you....

Hello!

Since my mojo has been in hibernation, I decided to clean out my old stamps and accessories that I have not used in years and will be listing them for sale.  Believe me, they will be priced to sell!  I will have them posted in the next day or so!    And because I can't finish one thing at a time, while I was getting the stamps/stamp sets together, I got sidetracked and made a card!!! LOLOL!!!  I am thinking that if I was a young child today, I would be diagnosed with A.D.D.!!! LOLOLOL!!! 

My card today is based on 2 SCS challenges ~ CAS106 {sketch inspiration} and today's color challenge {CC310 Wild Wasabi, So Saffron and Pacific Point}. 

I have had a package of Pacific Point CS for a while and can you believe it hasn't been opened?!?!  That's sad huh?  I guess it isn't my go to color!!! LOLOL!!!  I struggled at first as to where to put that color and in the end, I ended up liking the result!!!

The base of this card is Kraft and is 4 1/4" square.  I did sponge all edges lightly with Crumb Cake ink to kind of tone down the colors.  The next mat up is Pacific Point, So Saffron, True Black and then the image piece is Kraft.  The image piece was cut using one of my square Nesties and while the die was still on, I stamped the musical note background stamp from Prima, using Crumb Cake ink.  I then sponged inside the frame with Crumb Cake.  Then, with the die still on, I stamped the beautiful English Rose image from Serendipity Stamps using Black Memento ink.  I colored the leaves directly on the Kraft using my Copic Markers {G07, G14} to get as close as possible to the Wild Wasabi color.  I did piece the leaves that are hanging outside the box.  I also pieced the 3 roses by stamping them on Select White CS using Black Memento ink and then coloring with my Copics {Y21, Y23 and Y32}.  I was really excited about how perfect the flowers matched the Saffron CS.  I then added the Thanks sentiment {from Verve's Amazing Wishes set} by stamping it on Kraft CS using Pacific Point ink and then cutting it out, and adding a clear SU! heart with matching blue floss.

Queen for the Day....

Good Morning!

In case you haven't noticed, I have been trying to take part in some new challenges!  I have found some really fun ones and will work on getting them posted on my blog sidebar soon!  People are so creative!  Anyhoooo.....today's card is based on a "new to me" challenge at SCS called "Queen for the Day Challenge"!  How fun is that?!?!  The challenge is basically to pick a card from the "Queens" gallery and CASE it!  I love looking through other galleries and discovering some beautiful creations along the way!  This week's  Queen is One4Joy and her beautiful card that I CASEd is HERE!  I love the frame she made and the sentiment & bird are just beautiful!  Here is my card ~

The base of this card is Early Espresso with a mat of DP from Basic Grey's Curio Collection.  When I saw that paper I immediately thought of this AWESOME Dogwood branch from Serendipity Stamps!  It matched the paper PERFECTLY!  I stamped it on Very Vanilla texture CS using Early Espresso ink.  I colored using my Prismacolor Pencils, added Zva pearls, punched a butterfly (Martha Stewart punch) from another paper included in the collection and added the pearls.  Since I didn't have a beautiful frame stamp like Susan had, I just used my Score-pal and scored a frame.

This was super easy and I hope you like it!

Warm Winter Wishes...

Hi!

I have another Stella card to share today!   I found a new challenge blog called Jingle Belles.  Oh my gosh, what a great idea!  They have new challenges each week to make Christmas cards!  How fun is that?  Here is my card for their current challenge which is to add something warm and fuzzy ~

Stella's personality may not be warm and fuzzy but her earmuffs, hand muff and hat are!!! LOL!!!  The layout is from last weeks SCS sketch challenge #318  HERE  and also for SCS's Free 4 All challenge HERE which was to add something fuzzy to your card.

The base of this card is Early Espresso with a mat of Select White and then a piece of Bo Bunny's Winter Joy DP that was punched at the bottom using my new Martha Stewart dot border punch.  I cut a "window" from the DP using my Labels Fourteen Nesties but before removing the die, I traced around the outside edge using my Early Espresso marker to make a frame.  Stella, from Let it Snow, was stamped on Select White using Black Memento ink.  I colored using my Copics (E00, E11, E50, E55, E57, E59, N1, N3, N5, V12, V15, V17, YG13 and B00), added White Sparkly Fluff on her muff, earmuffs, coat trim and hat trim, using my Quickie glue pen.   I did add some clear Martha Stewart glitter to the snow, Early Espresso satin ribbon, a green snowflake with a green button and then added the sentiment which is also included in the set.  On the inside the sentiment reads....now there's an OXYMORON!  Too funny huh?!?!

Well, I now have a Christmas card for this year!!!   How many do you have??? LOLOL!!!

Featured Stamper Sunday ~ CASEing Lori.....

I have a quick card to share this evening!  I made this card based on today's awesome featured stamper, Lori Boyd.  Lori is so very talented and has a beautiful gallery and many of her cards include images that she has drawn herself!  Anyway, her card that I CASEd is here.

For such a simple card, this took me forever!  I swear!!  Anyway, the base of this card is Select White and the green DP is from Pink Paislee's 365 Degree Collection and was punched on the bottom using my Martha Stewart doily punch.  The ribbon is green silk from May Arts and the brad is from SU!.  About the bird, I have told you all that I have been cleaning my craft room....well, I found a BRAND NEW stamp set from SU! called Punch Potpourri which was/is a hostess set.  I stamped the bird on Select White using Cherry Cobbler ink and then punched using my bird and branch SU! punch.

Happy Spring!!!

Hi!

Don't let my title fool you.   No, it's not Spring but it's wishful thinking!   LOL!!  I hope it is nice where you are because it is far from it here in Virginia!!!  Well, at least the crummy weather gave me the incentive to stay inside and clean my crap, I mean craft room!  Oh my what a mess!  I found about 10 unfinished scrapbook pages and lots of paper that I didn't even know I had!  Sad isn't it?  I took time out from my cleaning to make a card based on today's SCS sketch challenge.

The base of my card is Pear Pizzaz and then I added a mat of Early Espresso and then Kraft.  All of the DP is from Echo Parks ~ Walk in the Park Collection.  The image is from MFT's Mud Buddies set and was stamped on Select White CS using Black Memento ink.  I colored using my Copics although I did paper piece her boots.  I also added some yellow rhinestones to the flower on her hair and the flowers in her garden.  I tore the edges of the cork and then stamped the mud mounds, also included in the Mud Buddies set, using Early Espresso ink.  I embossed the bottom Early Espresso CS using my bubbles embossing folder.  I was trying to get a dirt effect....  The sun was cut using THIS sunshine MFT die and the sentiment, from My Basket of Eggs set, was stamped using Early Espresso ink.

That will do it!  Now I need to get back to cleaning but I must say that you stay warm when you are cleaning!!! LOLOL!!!

Clean and Simple Flourish ~ Life is not Measured....

I have a quick card to share with you!  I made this card for today's clean and simple challenge at SCS which was to use flourishes on our cards.

This was a really simple card.  The base is Pink Pirouette and then I added a mat of True Black.  The decorative papers are from Webster's Pages Wonderfall/Hollywood Vogue Collection.  I stamped the sentiment from Verve's Beautiful You set, inside the frame that was already on the paper AND I might add, it fit perfectly!  I used Black Memento ink.  I then punched the side of the larger piece of DP using my Martha Stewart Cornice border punch, added the second pattern of paper and then the Zva pearl flourish.  The flower was cut from MFT's black felt using PTI's Blooms II dies.  I then added the SU! vintage brad, the tag stamped with the enjoy sentiment from Verve's Enjoy set and then added some leaves I cut from another pattern of the DP.  I added a few of the leftover pearls from the flourish on the frame and brad.

There are BIG ships and small ships.....

Wow, I can't believe it is Wednesday already!  The kids were off on Monday and then yesterday, they were off again due to an ice storm we got.   All is good today though!!

Here is a card I made based on today's sketch challenge at SCS ~

The base of my card is Select White with a mat of Early Espresso.  The light blue and floral yellow patterns are actually the front and back of Echo Park's Walk in the Park Sunshine paper.  The boat panel is from Echo Parks Little Boy Awesome Dots paper.  For the top panel, I used cloud paper from American Crafts, Skyline Park glitter paper and added waves that I punched using my Fiskar's wave punch.  The waves were layered using dimensionals and I added Stardust Stickles to the tops.  The sun is from Verve's Relax set (LOVE this set) and was stamped on Lava Chocolate Echo Park CS using Early Espresso ink, cut out and then stamped using the Big Ships and Small Ships text strip from Text Objects again using Early Espresso.  I added Orange Peel Stickles to the center of the sun and mounted it using dimensionals.  The little ship is also from the Text Objects set and was pieced using the same yellow floral paper and for the hull, another pattern from the Little Boys Collection. 

The final step was to use my Early Espresso marker and just ink up the one sentiment, stamp it on Select White CS, cut it out, adhered it and then added a SU! clear heart button and yellow floss.  Here i s a closer look ~

CAS ~ I Just Love You....

Hi!

I have a couple Clean and Simple cards to share today!  The reason I have 2 is because the first one was supposed to be based on the SCS Clean and Simple challenge HERE but I stamped the sentiment too high and had to add the rhinestones and then couldn't add ribbon so I pretty much messed up the entire sketch! LOLOL!!!

The card base is Kraft and the bottom was embossed using my new Sizzix Love set.  I embossed a scrap of Pure Poppy CS and then punched an embossed heart using a 1/2" circle punch.   The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Delightful Dahlia set and was stamped using Black Memento ink.  The rhinestone strip is from Heidi Swapp.

Here is a card that is more like the actual card we were supposed to use for inspiration ~

The base of this card is also Kraft CS and since I already had the Delightful Dahlia set on my desk, I went ahead and used it!  I stamped the Dahlia and sentiment using Black Memento ink, used a Black gel pen to make the frame and then added the black & white polka dot ribbon.  I colored the flower with Copics and added some Fruit Punch Stickles for a little shine.
