Crazy 4 Challenges ~ 3 Little Snowmen....

Hello!

I have a card!  It is using Serendipity Stamps which I have SO been neglecting!!!  I just LOVE Serendipity Stamps!!!  I used THIS brand NEW trio of snowmen ~

Aren't they just the cutest?!?!  Oh, I forgot to mention that this card is for our Crazy challenge from Joycelyn which was to make a card or project that has snow on it!  The base of this card is Kraft with a mat of True Black and then Select White which I embossed the top of using my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I stamped the darling image on Kraft CS using Black Memento ink and colored using my Copics.  I added the PTI Snow White ink using a blender pen.  The punch is from EK Success and the ribbon is from PTI.

Serendipity Wednesday ~ The Gift of Gratitude.....

Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a Thanksgiving card to share with you!  The reason it is a Thanksgiving card is because that is the DT's challenge from Serendipity Stamps!

For my card today, I used one of my favorite Fall stamps from Serendipity, Wheat Sheaf -

My card actually turned out a bit more plain than I expected but I have learned to not make adjustments once everything has been taped down!! LOL!!  I have ruined many cards BEFORE learning not to do this!!! Anyway, the base of this card is More Mustard.  I stamped the image on Fine Linen CS using Black Memento ink and then colored using my Copics.  I matted the image with Dark Chocolate CS and add the May Arts ribbon on the side.  The final step was to add Burgundy Stickles on the sheaf.

Serendipity Wednesday ~ Happy Thanksgiving.....

Today's Serendipity Stamps challenge was to make a card or project using the following picture as inspiration:

I used the Green, Orange and Kraft colors for my card ~

The beautiful Horn of Plenty on Naturals Ivory CS using Black Memento ink.  I colored using my Copics, sponged the edges of the image using Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink, matted with Early Espresso CS and adhered it on top of some old Graphic 45 DP.   I did punch the right edge using my Fiskars apron border punch and added a strip of Early Espresso CS behind it.  I then added the natural burlap string and green SU! button.  The base of the card is Kraft.

Serendipity Stamps Wednesday...Happy Halloween!!!

Hello!

Today's Serendipity Stamps challenge is to make a Halloween card or project.  I LOVE the set I used on today's card!!  I do love making Halloween cards but I never send them!  Heck, I have a hard enough time sending get well and birthday cards let alone Halloween!!!  Before I go on to my card, Serendipity Stamps just released some new stamps!  They are awesome, as usual!  You can check them all out HERE. 

All of my decorative paper is from an old collection from Memory Box.  The darling image and sentiment are from Serendipity Stamps set called Ghosties.  The base is Select White with a mat of True Black.  The black netting is from May Arts, the glitter brad from SU! and the tag punch from Martha Stewart.  I added some black twine to hold the netting together.

I stamped the image on Select White CS, cut it out and colored using my Copics.  Actually, I just colored the fence.  I then added the circle of DP and black scalloped circle that I cut using my Nesties.  That is it!  This was a super simple card!

Serendipity Stamps Wednesday...Winter Farm....

Hi!

Today's Serendipity Stamps challenge is to make a Christmas card!  Well, that sounds easy enough especially because Serendipity Stamps has some of the MOST BEAUTIFUL Holiday stamps around.  You can see them HERE!  I decided to make a simple card and actually had envisioned it to look different than it turned out but regardless, the stamp is GORGEOUS!

 

The base of this card is Soft Suede with a mat of Kraft.  I stamped the beautiful sentiment on the Kraft CS using Ranger's Frayed Burlap ink.  The sentiment is included in THIS Winter Doe set which is also beautiful!  I stamped the Winter Farm image on Naturals Ivory CS using Frayed Burlap ink.  I did not color anything except the houses which I used my red Prismacolor Pencil.  I distressed the edges, added the gold ribbon and some old MME Christmas paper and was done!

Serendipity Stamps Wednesday...Gone Fishing.....

 

It's time for another Serendipity Stamps Wednesday challenge!  Today's challenge is to include water on our card or project in some way....Here is my answer to the challenge ~

Again, another very simple card!  The base of this card is Early Espresso with Newsprint paper from SU! which I crumpled up and sponged with Early Espresso and Crumb Cake ink.  The Angler was stamped on Kraft CS using Crumb Cake ink and then sponged with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso ink.  I distressed the edges as well.  I then matted it with Early Espresso ink and added the SU! Twill tape, SU! pewter buckle and some natural burlap string.

Serendipity Stamps ~ Big and Small.....

Hello!

Today's Serendipity Stamps challenge is to make a card or project using the large and small version of the same stamp.  Serendipity Stamps has large and small images in MANY of their beautiful flower stamps.  I chose to use the large Violet and small Violet stamps on my card today.

The base of this card is Eggplant Envy with a mat of True Black and then newsprint DP from SU!.  I stamped the small Violet image on Kraft CS using Black Memento ink, colored using my Copics and then cut it out using my Spellbinders Fancy Tags Three dies and then tied it on the purple silk ribbon using black burlap string.  I stamped the large Violet on the newsprint paper using Crumb Cake ink and then sponged the edges and crinkles.  It's hard to see but it does look really pretty because it is such a subtle image.

Serendipity Stamps Wednesday ~ Wedding Thanks....

Hi!

I am late posting my Serendipity Stamps challenge and will make this short as I have to run out for a few hours but will post the details when I get back!  Our challenge this week is to make a gift.  I painted a little box and added 5 thank you notes inside!

The Serendipity Stamp set I used is called Corner Zinnia.  I colored with my Copics (R83, RV10, RV0000, BG11, E26, YG91, YG93 and YG95) and the DP is from Prima's Madeline Collection.   I stamped the image using Black Memento ink on the DP, cut it out using my Circle Nesties, stamped the butterfly again on a blue patterned paper from the collection, cut it out and mounted it on top of the first stamped butterfly.  I then matted this piece on a green pattern from the same collection and then a scalloped circle of Dark Chocolate CS.  I then used Select White to make a circle card for the inside. 

The box was just one of those cheap paper mache ones from Michael's and then I painted it using a light pink acrylic paint.  I then painted a layer of crackle paint which I got at Walmart for $5.  It is a huge bottle and I think worked just as well as the Tim Holtz crackle paint and it is cheaper AND it doesn't dry up.  I loved my Tim Holtz crackle paints but once I opened them and used them, they dried up.  I was so disappointed because it is such a cool effect but anyway, then after I added the crackle paint and let it dry, I added a layer of off white acrylic paint.  The off white paint cracked and it shows the light pink below.  I think I will try a darker pink on the bottom next time but it actually turned out really nice!

Serendipity Stamps Wednesday ~ Hi There!!!

Today's Serendipity Stamps challenge is to make a card or project using one of their doodle stamps and incorporate some felt!!!   You can find the doodle stamps,starting  HERE and continuing through the next 3 pages.  If you haven't checked out the stamps Mary has in this $1.00 stamp sale, you really should check them out HERE!

For my card today, I used THIS Fish Bowl stamp ~

The base of this card is Early Espresso with a mat of Select White and then decorative paper included in the October Afternoon Modern Homemaker Collection. The fish bowl was stamped on the DP as well as Select White CS using Black Memento ink.  I cut the lower part of the fish bowl out of the Select White piece, colored using Copics and pieced it on the DP fish bowl that I also cut out.  I then added Crystal Effects over the entire bowl, made the table cloth and matted this piece on Early Espresso.  The sentiment, found HERE, was stamped on a Select White thought bubble using Early Espresso ink.  The bubble die is from Quickutz.  I then added an orange felt flower, SU! yellow flower button and finally, added some brown and white twine.

Serendipity Stamps Wednesday ~ Wedding Wishes....

Hi!

Today is Serendipity Stamps Wednesday challenge which is to make a card/project with a Wedding theme using the following sketch!  As you will notice, my card has a Wedding theme but looks nothing like the sketch.  Well, at one point in my making of the card, I knew I needed to use the sketch and then, OBVIOUSLY, I forgot to use the sketch!!  Sometimes I don't think I should be driving a car!! LOLOL!!! 

 

Here is my card ~

The base of this card is Vintage Cream CS with a mat of True Black and DP from MME Blue Lush Collection.   The Sweet Pea image, found HERE, was stamped on Vintage Cream CS using Black Memento ink, colored with Copics and cut out using my Spellbinders Labels Twenty dies.  The Congratulations sentiment, included in THIS Baby Carriage set, was stamped on Vintage Cream as well and cut out using my Spellbinders Fancy Tags Two dies.  This was then tied on using black floss.
