Hi!
I haven't had much stampin' time lately....hopefully next week will be better!!!! I was able to squeeze in a quick card yesterday for Michele's Ways to use it challenge at SCS which was to use Green. There were other recyclable things you could do as well but my card did not include any of those, just Green!! LOL!!
No wonder I never have time to stamp!!! Between cleaning, kids, grocery shopping and our animals...who could have time for ANYTHING else!!! LOL!!! First thing this a.m. I received a call from my neighbor letting me know that our horse was over at his house! I have no idea how long he had been out so I got his halter and some grain (he'll follow you ANYWHERE if you have food!!! LOL!!!), went over to my neighbors (mind you, 2 days ago it was 80 here and today it is snowing BUT that does make it easier to find where my horse went!! LOL!!!), so I am looking around for him and since he is big, I should be able to find him right??? Well, I can't find him so my neighbor was out and said he saw him go back to my yard....how the heck did I miss him??? He was EATING, as usual, out by our pool. I didn't even look over there! My biggest concern is that he would go out to the road and cause an accident. We live about 200 yards off the road and are on around 200 acres but horses can cover A LOT of ground!!! LOL!!! Well, he is all locked up now!
Now, on to another reason I never have time....back before Christmas we adopted a couple of stray cats that found us! We (the kids and I ~ DH only likes cats for killing mice!! LOL!!) were really excited to have them because they were so sweet and felt so bad that they didn't have homes and now they would have a home and food!!! Here I was thinking how wonderful we were because we "SAVED" them...well, fast forward to January, 2009, Blackie starts looking fat and then a few weeks later, Callie starts looking fat. Maybe I should cut back on their food.....NOT!!! They are both pregnant!!! WTH!!! I fully expected to get them in to get them fixed after the first of the year, well OBVIOUSLY I didn't do it quick enough! Fast forward to last Thursday/Friday....this is what happened ~
Each cat had 4 kittens and BOY are they cute!!! Mary and I have had a blast with them!!! They are a week old today (above pic is from last Friday) and they are starting to open their eyes. Blackie had 4 black ones that actually look kindof tiger like and then Callie had 2 black and white ones, 1 orange tiger one and a calico. SO, in 5 weeks or so if anyone would like 1, 2 or 8, let me know!!! LOL!!! We are going to keep Callie and Blackie of course and as soon as they wean the kittens, they are going to the vet!!!
Sorry about the rambling....Crazy Cat lady's do that sometimes!!! LOL!!! Anyway, here is my GREEN card and it was an easy one!!!

Can I just say that I LOVE the Imaginisce Twitterpated paper?!!? I am sure I will get sick of it but haven't yet (hope you haven't because I still have more left!!! LOL!!!). The base of my card is Wild Wasabi with a mat of Real Red then Whisper White and then the Twitterpated DP. The first ribbon is SU!'s wide Pink Pirouette grosgrain which I ran on top of the Real Red oval. I then added the red and white polka dot May Arts ribbon on top of the Pink Pirouette and added a bow at the top. The image is from Serendipity Stamps and is called Chick with Egg and was stamped on Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink. I then cut and embossed using my oval Nesties and matted on a scalloped oval cut from Pink Pirouette card stock. I colored using a combination of Prismacolor Pencils and a blender pen & Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, Barely Banana (chick) and Real Red ink pads. I also added Opal and Angel Wings Shimmerz to the flowers and the egg. I used my Quickie glue pen to add white flock to the chick. Here is a close up of that ~
OK, I am off to get my house straightened up before I have to go to the kids school to work on some stuff! I hope you all have a great day!
