Happy Anni-VERVE-sary!!! Day 1 sneak peek!!!

My card today is a simple one.  I used one of the new AMAZING sets being released Friday night called Sunny Days ~

This set has some DARLING new flowers and beautiful sentiments {of course}!!  The base of my card is Tempting Turquoise with a mat of Early Espresso.  The top panel is Vintage cream with a strip of Prima DP.  I punched the bottom of the Vintage Cream using my EK Success border punch.  The darling flowers were stamped using Early Espresso and colored using a blender pen & Tempting Turquoise ink pad.  The final step was to add some punch the button holes and add some burlap string.

Crazy 4 Challenges & Bugaboo Winner!!!!

Good Morning!

Before I get to my card for today's Crazy Challenge, I wanted to announce the winner of my Bugaboo Winter Turtle digi from last weekend!!  The winner is ~

Now, on to my card for today!  Cindy is our hostess again and she tasked us to make a shaker card.  My card did not turn out quite like I envisioned it would but due to my lack of time, it would have to do!!! LOL!!

The base of this card is Early Espresso and then a layer of Kraft CS that I embossed with my Swiss Dots embossing folder and used my Scor-pal to add some borders on the top and bottom of the panel.  I cut the heart using THIS Jotted Heart die from Verve and then added some red glitter confetti hearts inside and some old Pink Paislee DP on the inside.  I then added some brown and white twine and then stamped the sentiment, from Verve's Always on my Mind set, using Early Espresso ink.

There you go!  Very simple!!  I wish I had used different paper on the inside of the heart.  I just didn't want it to look like a Valentine card but I guess it is too late now!!!  You have got to see the Crazies creations, they are awesome!

Viva la Verve ~ Thanks for being there.....

Happy Friday!

Today's Viva la Verve sketch has been brought to us by Maureen!  It is a great sketch!  If you would like to play along, you can get all the details HERE in the Verve SCS forum!

 

 

The base of this card is Dark Chocolate with a mat of Kraft.  All of the DP is from Pink Paislee's Butterfly Garden DP.  I cut a piece of the DP using my Circle Nesties and matted it with Kraft CS that I cut using my Spellbinders Blossom die.  The two butterflies were cut from a second sheet of the same paper and adhered using glue dots.  I added a small pink rose and pink pearls which were left overs from a Prima Flourish.  The little frame is from Melissa Frances in which I stamped the beautiful Verve sentiment, from the brand new Words Cannot Express set, using Early Espresso ink directly on the DP.  I then added a Tim Holtz pin with SU! lace, a pink rose made from my MFT rolled rose die and leaves from some stickers I got at Micheal's.  I still need to work on my vintage style but all in all, I think it turned out nice.  It won't be fitting in to a normal envelope thats for sure!!! LOL!!!

Viva la Verve ~ Happy Birthday!!!

I have been trying to catch up with all my DT committments so that means there has been quite a bit of stamping going on today!!! LOL!!! 

Did you know Verve just had a new release on Friday night??  You can check out all the beautiful, new stamps HERE.  For my card today, I used 2 brand new sets.  The sun, clouds and flower are all from New Mercies which is actually more of a sympathy set but as you can see, very versatile.  The sentiment is from Small Phrases which has the most beautiful font and are nice and small so they can fit easily on any card or project.

The base of this card is Green Galore with a mat of Dark Chocolate and then Kraft CS.  All of the DP is from MME Lime Twist Fly A Kite Collection.  I cut the cloud paper out using my Spellbinders Labels Sixteen and then stamped the flower directly on the DP using Black Memento ink.  I stamped the flower again on another pattern of DP, cut it out and added some small Zva clear rhinestones to the center.  I used a dimensional to adhere it on top of the first stamped image.  The sun was stamped on Select White CS, colored with my Copics and cut out.  I added 2 small clouds that were stamped on watercolor paper and cut out.  The sentiment was stamped on watercolor paper and tied on using natural burlap string.

July Diva Inspirations Blog Hop ~ Precious Memories....

Welcome to the July Diva Inspirations Blog Hop! Our Diva Inspirations team and several special guests from the Release team are here to start your month off right with a little Verve inspiration! Take a little peek at each of the fabulous blogs below for some Verve-alicious eye candy and you just might win some Vervey goodness of your very own!

Before I fill you in on all the prizes and master hop list, I'll show you my card!  My layout is based on this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.   I was in need of a sympathy card so here it is ~

The base of my card is Going Gray CS and is 4 1/4" square.  The next mat is True Black and then DP from Pink Paislee's Queen Bee Collection.  I stamped the sentiment, from Verve's Forever in our Hearts set, on another piece of DP from the same Queen Bee Collection using Black Memento ink.  I then matted this with True Black CS.   I then stamped the leaves from Bloom & Grow on a grayish green piece of paper from my stash using Mellow Moss ink.  I then cut it out using Verve's Elegant Leaves die.  The final step was to cut 2 of each size flowers using Verve's Floral Circle Dies, crumple them up, layer them, ink the edges and add the button and string.  I added a couple Maya Road stick pins and was done!  Now on to the hop list!  Your next stop is Shannan!

Mojo Monday ~ Enjoy Today....

Hi!

Here I am FINALLY, with a card I finished on Tuesday but just never got a chance to post!  I have started my own sports photography business and all that is included in getting it going takes a ton of time plus taking the pictures, editing them, posting them, etc....  Anyway, I have totally neglected my DT duties but hopefully this week will be a bit slower and I can catch up!!!

Here is my card for last Verve's Mojo Monday sketch HERE ~

The base of this card is Old Olive with a mat of Early Espresso and then a piece of DP from Prima's Madeline's Collection.  Actually, all of the DP is from that collection.  I stamped the flower from Verve's Many Blessings set directly on the DP using Early Espresso ink and then paper pieced the flower and leaves.  I then stamped the sentiment, from Verve's Enjoy set, using Early Espresso ink and then cut it out using my Labels Four Spellbinders die.  The piece to the left was also cut using the same die set, of course smaller die, and the DP from the same collection.  The top tab was also cut with the die and I added a pewter large eyelet and burlap string.

June Diva Inspirations Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the June Diva Inspirations Blog Hop! Our Diva Inspirations team and several special guests from the Release team are here to start your month off right with a little Verve inspiration!  Before I provide the blog hop list, I'll share with you the little graduation gift I made for my daughter!  She is "graduating" today from the 5th grade!!!   Thank goodness it's just the 5th grade as I am not ready for my kids to be growing up so fast!!!

This was a very simple project and CASEd from Nichole.  Can you see I have no original thought and just CASE others ideas?!?!? LOL!!!  Anyway, I made the felt flowers {again, CASEd}, using a PTI flower die and felt.  I then added some Doodlebug polka dot buttons, black and white twine and then glued them on the skewers.  The 3 sentiments on the scewers are from Verve's Dream Big set, were stamped on Select White CS, cut out and adhered on the scewers using Elmer's glue.

The jar is a Stardbucks Cappucino jar that i washed and peeled the labels off of and then filled it with Green Apple Jelly Belly's.  The ribbon is from PTI and the "I'm so proud of you" sentiment is from Verve's Dare to Be set and was stamped on Select White CS using Black Memento ink and then cut out using my Spellbinders die.  I clipped it on using a tiny clothespin.

Next stop on the hop is Sweet SHANNAN!!!

Thanks so Much Gift Card Tag.....

Hi!

Have a quick gift card tag to share with you today!  I made this for my daughter's teacher and included a Starbucks giftcard.  I have a bunch of other things to include in her basket as well and will share one other thing I made for her on Saturday for my Crazy challenge!

The base of the tag is Kraft CS and then a very thin mat of Vintage Cream CS.  The DP is Life Documented from Simple Stories and for this tag, I used the front and the back of THIS sheet.  The top of the tag was cut using my Spellbinders Labels Four Nesties.  I sewed polka dot pocket on the front but before I did, I sewed the red lace from Maya Road.  The flowers are from SU! and the buttons are from PTI.  The sentiment is from Verve's Wordy Birds set and was stamped on the DP using Early Espresso ink.  The lace, I think, is from Offray.

Happy Birthday Barbara!!!

My post today is to celebrate my CRAZY friend, Barbara's, birthday!!!  Tammy was so sweet to put this all together for Barb!!  Happy Birthday and enjoy your day Barb!!!  The entire blog hop list is posted HERE on Tammy's blog.  If you are on track, you would have come here from France's blog!!!  Here is my card that I AM going to send to Barb today!!! LOL!!

The layout of this card is based on this week's Mojo Monday sketch found HERE!  The base is So Saffron CS with a mat of True Black and then SU! newspaper print DP.  The next layer is again True Black and a pattern of decorative paper from Lily Bee's This and That collection.  The yellow polka dot paper is also from the Lily Bee collection.  The sentiment is from Verve's Love Deepens set and was stamped using Black Memento ink.  Under the flower I added black seam binding, green felt leaves cut using Verve's Elegant Leaves die, flowers from the Great Friend stamped on the SU! newsprint paper & cut out, I added a vintage brad from SU! and a Tim Holtz stick pin.  I tied the tag on that I stamped using one of the Happy Birthday sentiments included in Verve's Big Wish set and punched it out using my Martha Stewart tag punch.

What's Shaking????

Hi!

I have a REALLY quick card to share today!!!  I have been so busy that I have hardly had a chance to use my new stamps from the last Verve release.  I thought this little set was so cute so I took a few minutes to ink it up!

The base of this card is Select White with a mat of True Black and then Kraft.  I stamped the sentiment and bunny, from Verve's Bunny Shake set, using Black Memento ink.  I added the frame on the Kraft mat using a black gel pen and then masked the bunny and sponged a little Going Gray ink.  I then added the DP from Echo Park's Little Boy Collection after I punched the top edge using my Fiskars Apron punch.  I then added some orange and white twine I bought HERE.  Oh, I forgot to mention that I used a blender pen and Fresh Snow ink to color him!
